i work at a store and sometimes unload a truck but never knew you could fit 52 pallets on a trailer when you look at a trailer it doesn't look like it could fit that many pallets but when you load them in it can kinda mad like that honestly shocked me
For the first clip (when you just typing your code) i hope in the future, they will use barcode /qr scanner. So, no typo, no wrong number. And no waiting time.
That's the difference between we the foreigners and Britts. They will leave their cabs, ask for directions and thank you for assisting them.😅...we don't
Given the wrong bay, sounds like where I work. One driver got put on a bay that was locked out because the bay door got crashed into and wouldn't open.
27yrs on road, and now 5yrs in garage, don't miss the driving one little bit, and it's clips like this that remind me... Tesco dump infested with stobarts & maritime... Dumber & Dumber inside dumbest... How much worse can it get??
What is the total weight they can put in your trailer and what is the total GVW you can carry i wish the usa had trucks like that been so much easier around places
Better off going to goods in if they given you the wrong bay or an occupied bay rather than the shunter who likely has no idea why they've fucked it up. Its their job to sort it too rather than the shunter if they need a shunter to move a trailer they can instruct them too anyway. Either way we all get there in the end I just leave my problems with goods in if I have any.
i love it they have a fancy automated system for checking in and it doesent even know what bays are empty
Well we hate it, we have little time rhds a European driver Scotland
That bay was empty. The trailer was from the dock and used as a parkingbay
@@maartengaat8718 no he was assighned BAY 22 after speaking to the shunter he was told they changed it now he needs to use BAY 24
the point remains the same why have a fancy system if your not going to use it they would have known one of 2 things
1 that bay 22 had been reserved for this truck and to not use it
or
2 that bay 22 was occupied and to assign a different pay at checkin
its not like he got given 22 and in the minutes it took to drive from the gate to the bays they quickly flung a trailer into there
this is common amongst most big companies they have all these fancy systems and ultimatly they fail to use them corectly
i worked for a well known furniture maker
we had fancy cnc systems
high tech gear
state of the art cad modeling systems
yet when it came to making stuff i got given a cut sheet and had to manually data enter the details into the machine despite the fact with little to no effort my machine was capable of being fed information from the cad models and auto setting itself thus practically eliminating user error all that would be required was me to verify the details and load material in but no
and the best reason we didnt do it?
1 because management was practically computer illiterate
2 because the people in there fancy offices with the high tech CAD software had never so much as lifted a screw driver let alone built or spoke to anyone who builds the stuff they make so all there drawings were wrong from the get go and required adjustments to be made as part of standard procedure theyd also do seemingly weird things such as requiring a door be 1782 mm when given the door it could have been 1780 with no issues what so ever the worst outcome would be the doors are 2mm shoter which in what we made would be un noticable to anyone

Shunters usually have radios so they can contact the goods in office so speaking to them is the quicker option depending the size of the site.
It's called articulation, ie ie scrub tarmac end all gents!
Well theres a surprise, fancy that 😂😂
Great video I am subscribing👍
2:52 I thought Stobart went out of business years ago.
Bought out by Culina Group
What's it like backing onto a bay at night in the rain using the mirror cams?
Terrible mate , nightmare honestly
It's even worse if you even get a little bit of sun on the camera. It just turns the whole screen white, so you have no view at all
Technology for technologies sake 🙄
