Love Chasing Cardboard been a fan of the guys since the first Hobby Palooza. Many don't understand what it takes to move bulk ,so dang time consuming. Yes Ty cherry picks but he has to afterall he has storage units full already. And in his business you can expect first offer at around 40% and work from there .Time is the most valuable thing there is and card selling takes a ton of time.Great episode and best of luck man.
Cool Chasing Cardboard episode. Too bad you couldn’t unload everything but I don’t blame them for not wanting the lower end stuff. That Kobe Hot Hands card is sicko! Just found your channel and subbed!
That's cool you got rid of stuff that you might not really wanted to but yet you picked up stuff that you wanted That's what makes it worth it never know you might end up with them cards again in the future you never know keep chasing cardboard Love the show too some of it's sad though most people getting rid of their stuff because of illnesses but that's why we collect bunch of cardboard turns into a bunch of money to pay those bills only in America keep chasing brother keep chasing
Thank you sir for the information I think the community truly appreciates it Good way to get rid of cards that's not worth putting online I get that a waste of time consigners probably do it a lot better they know how to do it because that's their job❤❤❤
@allmalone5967 not sure what braves balls we have left. We do have the chipper bat still at 250 and a javy lopez bat at 100. But can do a better deal on both.
I agree with you on consignment services. It's a good way to clear some space and generate cash as you find new/better cards you want in your collection.
@affirmed_7835 i know its not for everyone. Typically you may be "leaving money on the table". But I put a priority on time of return. I'd rather take a small loss and have money quickly to put back into other projects. As opposed to slow rolling to maximize sales. Plus if I slowly sell back in small increments, I know that money is going to end up being a chick fil a meal instead of new cards anyway 🤣
@ sorry I meant as in I run a consignment service, I sell the cards for clients. Not as big as DCSports87. Growing little by little. As far as where I sell, social media, local shows.

Hey Chris, Thanks for the video. Definitely definitely learned a few things. I gotta ask, when you say they didn’t want the cards, do you mean they literally did not want the cards as in that entire box of 750 cards was just given away for free? I mean, it is a fair question. I would not be surprised either way if you said yes or no. Maybe it’s just simply not worth their time to try and sell one dollar to five dollar cards. Or the other hand or on the other hand Did you guys end up paying for that box?
WOW .. that Kobe Hot Hands is crazyyyy! I know those aren't cheap.. that might be the first HH's Kobe I've even seen? they don't come up on ebeay often if at all?

Only option for the stuff they don't want. Is throw it away. Sure you can find some 3-15 dollar cards in your pile. Keep them but nobody is going to buy 98% of it even at DC. Don't literally throw them away but I give stuff like that away to kids all the time.
@@Nogame7_Cards I have, a little bit. A lot of cards in this video seem like good potential COMC cards. But DCSports is a quicker return. It is the quick nickel versus slow dime dilemma.

I have a love/hate relationship with Chasing Cardboard...love seeing uncovered gems, but hate the sliminess of Ty (or at least the editing anyways) If im remembering correctly he said the cards he was interested in were 6-7K and then offered 2500. I get that a flipper/investor/retailer is wanting profit...and Im ok with that, but it comes across that content is his priority. In the end a "good' deal is something that both parties agree to, but watching multiple videos it seems his goal is "content" and large margins (ie in another video he was "complaining" about only making 300% profit)
@@bubblesnz1059most of the guy that go on the show are decent guys and Ty comes in with his good guy act and they feel pressured to make a deal since it’s going to be on TV. 5:24 I never figured to give low-end like that to eBay consignment. So they take cards that value?
Dcsports87 wants $5 and up. Some of these will end below that I'm sure. Range is all $3-$15 for the most part.
I rather take a loss than wasting my time trying to sell everything myself. Time is worth more than anything in this world.
