Do you think the Vertis would work well with a Shift for some resort focussed touring? If not, is there anything else you’d suggest for hiking up and skiing down pistes?

Yeah I do think it would work well for that! Not the lightest ski in the world, but also not tremendously heavy. Should be a nice balance between uphill and downhill for resort touring.

    Hey Guys
    I have a question.
I‘m a Advanced Skier but skied the Last Time almost 3 years ago and now i want to buy a new ski. Im looking for a allmountain ski that is mainly for normal driving with some excursions to the off. Im struggling between the maverick 86c and the Black Crows vertis
Whats your opinion about that ? Which one should fit better?

I think the Vertis is a great ski, and everyone who got on it in this test loved it. It's a bit sturdier than the Maverick, but not quite as light or quick. If you value quickness and maneuverability, the 86 C is the way to go, but for a bit more poise, I was a big fan of that Vertis.

how does it compare to the Head Core 87?

The Kore is a bit lighter and considerably stiffer. The vertis makes cleaner, rounder turns at slower speeds because most skiers can access the sidecut of the ski, while the Kore either likes to be going fast and carving turns or if you're going slower, the ski likes to skid and take shallower edge angles. All forms of skiing are acceptable, it's more up to you and how you want to go about it.
