As a Mexican myself I can say that it's very American but keeping in mind that it's a taco and you are eating it in a cold fish eating country I am blown away by how much you guys love our food!
but american tacoes are good too :( but nothing beats the real from mexico
Esa no es nuestra comida. Necesitan comer unos tacos de pastor de la CDMX. Para saber lo que es un taco.
@@dngdnf4862 only tacos that are made by Mexicans in the US are good
Because Norwegians dont really have cuisine. Sorry for that this is true, the same with Sweden, Germany.
Not true at all....Have tried them in Mexico ever??@@pablogs2934
Watching this all the way from Mexico
We have Taco Tuesday in the USA. We live in Tucson, Arizona, USA, where half or more of the population is Mexican ancestry, so we have Taco stands everywhere, available all the time.
@@DHMenke Delicious 😋
Same lol, just hearing english from a norwegian lass talking about something called "taco Friday" i hadn't heard before lol
*(A Mexican here!!)*
Some advices:
1. If you put the avocado, tomato and onion and you mix it together you will have an autentic mexican Guacamole (you can also squeeze a green lemon into the mix).
2. If you can find corn tortillas will be way better.
3. If you add achiote, pineapple juice, a little bit of white vinegar, garlic, salt and pepper to the meat, you will have an autentic mexican "al pastor" taco meat.
don't forget the salt in the guacamole too!
Delicious. We make this in Finland too. But I add onions in the meat mix. And jalapenos. And I put sour cream in tortillas. Njams njams.😋
When you grew up with Taco on Tuesday. *Confused Texan screaming*
Taco Tuesday is even in the Lego Movie!
Agreed. In the US it is always taco Tuesday
Everyday is taco Tuesday in Texas.
Keith Crowell you draw a valid point. Do excuse my ignorance
Exactly my thought
I'm mexican and that taco looks very delicious, they gave me to go buy tacos for dinner hahaha i'm a new sub
That’s actually not a bad system for making tacos. I’ve lived in California and have been to Mexico a number of times and there are endless ways to make tacos, and you did a great job. Also someone mentioned taco trucks, Norway needs taco trucks. In California they are everywhere and most times they are operated by a Mexican family with the region of Mexico they or their family comes from written in large lettering on the truck. Given Norway’s love of tacos, I think taco trucks would make a killing. Good job on those tacos, they looked pretty good.
In Norway 🇳🇴 we have ice cream 🍦 🍨 trucks 🛻 only 😁😊 which is called “isbilen! ☺️
I don’t know why, but every time if I watch your videos I get so happy.
You got something wich makes me happy. Thanks for everything
Nice Tacos, they are a bit different from what we have in México, but they definitely have the right spirit. Greetings from México, Sunny. 😅
"A bit different"??? 😱
Next time, please show us what a Norwegian BBQ looks like 🙌🏻
A norwegian BBQ is basically Sausage's (Gilde) and Burgers.
@@fronkbingbong9919 I.... I can't really refute that though I want to... Only thing to add is 'grill pinner'.
Spareribs burgers sausages and a salad and meat
@@fronkbingbong9919 Same in England
I'm bbq'ing Iowa pork chops today....along with sweet corn (in the husk) and asparagus on the grill. Add a baked potatoe and you've got a typical Iowa Summer Sunday BBQ in the Midwest (USA).
I didn’t know she existed before today and now I’m here vibing watching her make tacos
Haha, this is basically like watching me making tacos, because it's exactly the way I make tacos as well 😂 The only exceptions is that I usually skip the guacamole when I make it for myself, and the order of how I mix the ingredients at the end! Didn't eat tacos yesterday, but now I really want some!
Pretty simple to make, but sooo good 🤤 I’m pretty jealous to be honest, 10/10 taco sounds amazing 🤩
I love the Norwegian culture and traditions, the tacos look so good, 11/10 for your tacos :D Glad taco fredag! Selv om jeg i dag er dette på søndag xD
They look delish! 😋❤️ Made me a little hungry watching this! 😁 Hope you're well!
And now imagine, in a parallel universe, "Matpakke Fredag" being a thing in Mexico! "José, get the Brunost! " ;)
I wish I knew more about Norwegian food, here in México I don't know any of those places. I'm going to look for the recipe of Matpakke. Or you can you tell me what other dishes are?
More like Marpakke Martes hahaha (Marpakke Tuesday), I don't know what that is but gonna google it and hey! def doing it! Mexican here btw!
@@Srkaustiko matpakke = lunchbox, which is essentially bread with toppings on. The toppings depend on individuals, but commonly it'll be Jam, Cheese(Yellow or Brown), Ham, Cucumber, Fish, etc. Or sometimes multiple toppings, like Cheese(either one) + Jam, or Ham + Cheese + Cucumber.
For the most (uniquely) Norwegian toppings, it'd have to be Brown Cheese, Prim(caramellised butter) or fish(preferibly left over fried fish from last nights dinner IMO).
Some other unique Norwegian toppings(pålegg) would be Banos(banana spread), Sunda(Honey spread) and Hapå(nut\"chocolate" spread, basically an older and different version of Nutella).
This is not just lunch, it is also breakfast, and night-food(Norwegians commonly either eat once a day, in which case just dinner, or 4 times a day, 3 of which is bread slices with toppings on, as above).
Nice to see you, Sunny! Bon Apettite!
Your cooking skills are amazing and norwegian food is awesome.
Hi Sunny, i like the cooking vid. Im an indian from the Netherlands. I really love cooking vids and u are doing it really good! Dank je wel ❤️
Am I the only one who thinks it‘s weird that she put the tortilla in the microwave WITH the plastic? Looks delecious though!
I've learned it the hard way while trying to defrost some beef in a plastic wrapping... the result was a nice plasticky-beef nugget
No, I notice that, too. We never do that.
The plastic is made for that though
I do that too. Has never been a problem tbh
odd, we use a kitchen towel or a tortilla oven.
You are the best SUNY!
that was fun to watch, especially since you tried to stay so serious :) i'm hungry now, have a good one and a nice weekend
Looks lovely sunny xx
Easy to make your friday taco's! I will eat them on any day of the week. 😂 I ❤ it!
We have Taco Tuesday in the USA. We live in Tucson, Arizona, USA, where half or more of the population is Mexican ancestry, so we have Taco stands everywhere, available all the time.
This was fun to watch. 😀
I just watched her videos for months now. I can tell she improve alot.
You got cool videos. I watched every one of them!!
You deserve more views tbh. Long time fan! Greetings from Florida, USA
Thank you, I appreciate it ❤️ and ahhh I miss Florida, love the state. Take care 😄
Literally two things that i love most in once
Gratulerer med dagen Sunny
Takk for det ❤️
Well guess what I'm making this Friday for my family!🤗
Oh my gosh you make the best TAAAACCOOOOOZZZ 😍
Hey the Norwegian taco is very interesting :D and it looks great
Cucumber? That's a great idea! Norwegian tacos look fantastic.
As a person of Mexican heritage it’s very interesting to see how our food has made it to a Scandinavian country and has its own unique style of being made and how it even has it’s on day. Thank you for sharing!
Also your taco looks like a burrito. Lol
exactly, actually it looks like a pita wrap or something, very far from a taco, if you're mexican.
HUSH. BOTH OF YOU.
Irvin: I'm mexican, this is not "our food" No manches! Eso es un pita wrap mas gringo que la hamburguesa.
Un taco es el de pastor que te sirven en cualquier taquería callejera de la CDMX. El cual no tiene nada que ver con esto. Espero haya quedado claro. ✌🏼
Yesssssss I like tacos uwu
Also please show us how to make more food from norway too if you can uwu
taco friday = makes a fajita
It looks tasty!
I was actually expecting a huge difference between Norwegian taco and Texas tacos...I missed on that one!! They are quite similar!! Love tacos....Give this video 10/10! Hope they help you with your Spanish!
Me too!
This is pretty much exactly how i grew up eating them with my brothers.
All except for those blasted cucumbers. We never put the corn to it either.
That was an Arizona thing.
I'm from Texas, you did a pretty good job
Sunnys dishes always get 10/10 🤔😆
Looks good, never thought about cucumbers on taco's but it looks good. Also that's more burrito than taco.
Blasphemy.
I miss Taco Fridays in Norway!! Back in America there is Taco Tuesday but not many actually eat tacos on Tuesday! haha. I still try to do the real way, Taco Friday, now being back!
I’m gonna be dead honest. Best taco I’ve ever seen.
It's 10pm here in Indonesia, now i'm hungry😂
I know what you mean. Every time I watch a food video i get hungry.🤣
yes exactly
Tacos are amazing
We (Mexican dude + Norwegian American wife) discovered this was a thing a couple of years ago in Oslo when we visited my wife’s cousin. It made no sense to me but I enjoyed the food and hospitality. Nothing compares with AlPastor from CDMX or Asada from Sonora though
My dad is from Mexico and makes good homemade tacos, but I plan to make your Norwegian tacos since I have the ingredients and they do look 10 out of 10, so thanks for sharing! Greetings from Texas and maybe sometime you can show your version of TX BBQ
You should do corn tortilla tacos and with the tortillas there best cooked on the oven just do then in low heat, right after you finished with the meat. And make sure you flip them whenever you see them crisp.
Hi sunny I´m mexican and I can say that is a super taco because you have a quezadilla and vegan taco included
Whiskey while making tacos! Perfect!
OMFG!!!! I SOOOOooooOOOOooooo miss Taco Fridays in Norway. Euro food is so much better than American food. Take care, Sunny. Love your channel and it it always makes me wish I was back in Norway.
Girl! Squeeze some lime in the avo 🥑 that way it won’t get so brownish and dryissh😉 Cheers 🥂 Skål for that southern comfort tho 🥃😍😋
I know this is Norweigian style, but here in Mexico the guacamole is just a mix of sliced onions, tomatoes, cilantro, sometimes some chili, and smashed avocados.
I live in Sweden for almost 2 years. And we had also Taco Friday! Is that a Scandinavian thing?
We have Taco Tuesday in the USA. We live in Tucson, Arizona, USA, where half or more of the population is Mexican ancestry, so we have Taco stands everywhere, available all the time.
Yes
It's a family tradition thing.
Mexican here, there's no such a day for us specially for tacos, all days are taco days pretty much 🤷♂️
Yes, tacos were invented by the vikings. And were imported to Mexico by viking explorer Leaf Erickson, where they became famous. Now many Scandinavians are embracing there true roots with Taco Friday! Its a patriot way to kick off the weekend.
That is the same as what we use for Australian Tacos haha
Mmmmmm! I made tacos the other day. beef/steak or al pastor is what I always use for meat. Al pastor being my favorite. Dice up some onion, cilantro and jalapeños mix it together with some lime juice and top it with some Mexican creama and avacado. 😋
Mmmm, Mexian creama and avocado.
Here in Tajikistan we have sunday Osh (plav) and Kurutob these two meals pretty popular just as the Tako friday but most of the day Tajiks go for Kurutob in the weekend eather saturday or sunday
Some suggestions:
- Try Pace brand picante sauce.
- Add fresh cilantro (even died).
- Try Fiesta brand seasoning.
- red onion
- jalapeno peppers
Some better suggestions
1. Increase immigration from Central American countries
2. Grant asylum status to people not necessarily inside Norwegian territory
3. Provide Government startup stipends to refugees to start Mexican restaurants
4. Import tons of American Gas-X extra strength gas pills
5. Always use real Tabasco products
Enjoy ! 🇳🇴#vikings
Dont know if pace is available in Norway. Tex Mex is a gateway food to more Mexican food
I want a Norwegian taco!
my jaw dropped when Sunny forgot the red/white onion for the hamburger meat in frying pan...well there goes my marriage proposal LOL...at least Sunny doesn't load up a blender w/ rabbit food & make green slush
You evil man, people like you are behind climate change. Vegan diet FTW.
My favorite day of the week for sure I liked this video Sunny Norse yes!!!! :)
Jeg elsker taco friday🙈😂
Jeg elsker Taco Tuesday. We have Taco Tuesday in the USA. We live in Tucson, Arizona, USA, where half or more of the population is Mexican ancestry, so we have Taco stands everywhere, available all the time.
Taco !😍
My ex-wife is Finnish, Swedish and Norwegian making our kids all that plus me, Mexican. She didn't have much mexican food before she met me but found she liked much of it, even barbacoa tacos. When we got married I told her she had to learn how to cook Mexican rice, which my mom gladly showed her how to. Chicken tacos and guacamole were her favorites and she liked cilantro as well.
Instead of using those packets which have a lot of preservatives and useless ingredients. Authentic taco meat is just salt/pepper/cumin/fresh chopped or ground garlic and onion/tomato sauce. Flour torts are fine but frying up your own corn tortillas adds anothe dynamic flavor.
den norske tacoen er så godt. the norwegian taco is realy good
den norske tacoen er så "Burrito." We have Taco Tuesday in the USA. We live in Tucson, Arizona, USA, where half or more of the population is Mexican ancestry, so we have Taco stands everywhere, available all the time.
Oh me lard, I love your channel. Where have you been all my life?
I love the Norwegian Taco! Although the bread is a larger wrap it is very close to the size the Vikings used: 18cm diameter/0.5cm thick. They ate with their hands. Sunny eats with her heart❤️
Norwegian Taco is really a burrito. But who cares?
DrDave Menke -- burritos have rice and refried beans the NT doesn’t. Also Sunny is including salad/fresco ingredients which can go in a Taco not usually a burrito. The NT IS folded LIKE a burrito on a medium size tortilla. The Aztecs and Vikings seem to have something uncommon.
My Niece’s husband is Guatemalan and his cooking is more like ancient Aztecs and Mexican food more a variation. It doesn’t matter - I like it all.
@@robertmcglinchey3347 there are a lot pf type of burritos :b
Heyyy Sunny! I love the idea of 'Taco Friday', why isn't it a world tradition? xD
We have Taco Tuesday in the USA. We live in Tucson, Arizona, USA, where half or more of the population is Mexican ancestry, so we have Taco stands everywhere, available all the time.
@@DHMenke Wow, I forgot about that xD Thanks for telling me :D I think I'll just eat tacos daily xD

Your accent is really amazing. One main reason I watch your videos over and over again is that I like the way you talk. It's just so amazing! Would love to see you speak some Hindi words! I've some suggestions for ya!
Dude, if anything you are obsessed 😂
I would love that you come to México so I can take you to some awesome tacos. You wuld be surprised of how simple they are actually.
I just found out about this. Some Mexicans wouldn't consider US tacos as authentic tacos. But technically a taco is a tortilla that has anything on it. In Mexico when you go to a Tortilleria there are salt shakers at the counter that you can use. We literally make salt tacos.
Hey Sunny! It looked really delicious 😋. Next time you can make pizza ok 😉. I wish you a nice Weekend dear Sunny 😘🥰.
Are you really Thor, the son of Odin? Cool.
@@DHMenke Yes I am 😂😂😂.

Whatttt?? It’s Taco Tuesday!!!!!
That’s almost exactly like how my family makes them. We don’t use guacamole and use tomatoes instead.
Fun fact: The Second contry that eat the most taco is Norway!!
And the whiskey is definitely for the tacos ;)
I thought it was usa.
Saludos México
Whiskey is not for tacos. Quit fooling around. This is important.
To us mexicans it doesn't matter the day of the week to have tacos but I like to see that our food is popular everywhere.
Paprika is bell pepper:)
Beautiful culture ❤
I'm from Mexico, I've travelled quite a lot and seen the different versions of what other countries make for 'tacos'. Obviously, I still prefer the classic Mexican one. 'Taco Friday' must be quite a recent trend in Norway thou; when I was there, nobody told me about it. Anyway, you should try the 'Mexican bacalao', it's a tradition to have it for dinner(plus other dishes) on New years' Eve . Let us know your opinion about it ;-)
What is the difference between taco shell and lompe? Hope it was as tasty as it looked! :)
