  • Norwegian snacks? Dag and Katarina try different kinds of traditional Norwegian snacks, from very weird to super delicious! Have you ever tried some of these?
    A short list of some of the special Norwegian Snacks (in order of appearance):
    1. Lefse - thin bread with butter, cinnamon, and sugar
    2. Hot dog with shrimp sauce
    3. Skolebolle - school bun. A bun with yellow cream, glace, and coconut drizzle
    4. Makrell i tomat - mackerel in tomato sauce, served on bread and topped with mayo
    5. Norwegian salmon - sashimi
    6. Rømmegrøt - sour cream porridge, served with flatbread and cured ham
    7. Kvikk lunsj - Norwegian chocolate!
    8. Grandiosa - the most famous Norwegian frozen pizza
    9. Tørrfisk - dried fish
    10. Vaffel med brunost - Waffle with Norwegian brown cheese and jam
    11. Kransekake - Norwegian wreath cake

      Just dont put the bread (flatbrød) and the meat (spekeskinke) into the sour porridge (rømmegrøt) they are eaten seperate, not together.

    The dried fish is a huge export product, especially to Portugal, that makes Bacalao with it.

      Yes, this is true;) not the type of the dried fish they try in this video, more salted and dried - this is the one to use in bacalao;)

    Wow! A good portion of this food i can't eat cause I'm allergic to seafood! And I'm part Norwegian! That is true about the hot dogs part! I can eat tons of hot dogs!

    The dry cod is good, its snack for us up here in the north. You eat that while you sit and drink beer ... and no you are not allowed to have that with you on airplanes, unless it is in the luggage you check in.

    I’ve grown up not liking every type of seafood, but it’s probably because I have had a well cooked Norwegian seafood dish 😂

    smalahove is an exiting norwegian food, havent tryed it yet, but they ho tasted it, said it was good traditional norwegian food for like christmas

    Save the Grandiosa, everything else is good eating, especially the dry fish... man I love that... and rømmegrøt is just the best... yes I am a norskie

    why are they acting like they never tried these things ? they are both Scandinavian and most likely Norwegians yet acting like all these things are new to them LOL .. People eating that grandiosa pizza for Christmas is just depressing , it just tastes like cardboard with tomato sauce and cheese .. I am Norwegian Btw just so that is clear

      we do have them here:) in fact, there is a very quirky Norwegian tradition: Fredags Taco - when a lot of Norwegians eat taco (well, a very Scandinavian version of it) every Friday:)

    I've been to Norway many ,many times but never had some of those foods, however no amount of money could persuade me to eat brunost again....🤢🤢

      Pair it with strawberry jam on toasted bread or crackers/knekkebrød😋
