"My axe cannot cleave fleshless spirits!" *kills banshee*
I remember how I used to laugh and fear the facial animations of Cenarius and Garithos when I was a kid. Oh Blizzard, how you used to be so unintentionally entertaining.
Hahaha yeah, those mouth animations from the Keeper/Knights.
As someone who has ready played WC3 I still feel that the question remains unanswered really - at which point did the night elves end their neutrality with the alliance and horde and pick a side...
Right, or like why did the Orcs stay and continue to chop trees down even after helping the Elves?
still not covered how they joined alliance
I mentioned it in the summary at the end. They joined the Alliance because the horde is their common enemy. Horde continues to attack Ashenvale and taking its resources.
Nexius, still, looks like a bit of a stretch. Why would Thrall, after all that happened in W3, continue chopping down ashenvale, where elves, who are basically their allies at this point, live?
Why would Thrall continue to do it? Resources to build a nation for the horde. They gotta get lumber from somewhere, as the barrens and durotar are starved of resources. That's how we get Warsong Gulch as a battleground in wow. It's also in the Ashenvale questing zone today.
Nexius, what about Silverpine or Feralas? Those seem much less contested.
I heard there was some trade deal back in the day but it got broken because "muh PvP". Don't think about it too much, just typical Blizzard plot holes and retcons. And N.Elves were more into Alliance because Orcs chopped down their trees and killed their god while Humans didn't even attack them first (Tyrande did it).
It's, like, so awesome how the night elves, high elves and Highborne kaldorei are now all on the same faction / side! Lots of interesting discussions between the three, I bet! :)
Just missing the Blood Elves!
Tfw the Blood Elves and Highborne Kaldorei (Nightborne) joined the Horde because Tyrande can't let go of a grudge 😂
Then they have no issue with the Void Elves joining the Alliance. 6.5/10 writing from Blizzard lol.
Nexius right? Maybe it's because the Void Elves are so new to everyone and just get kinda brought in covertly by Alleria.
Can't wait for the classic Night Elf elf-racism.
Introducing void elves when they should have just added high elves with some slightly different models compared to the blood elves. But then again, who can oppose Blizzards shitty lorewriting?
Better if there had been 4 Main Factions
Grand Alliance: Humans, High Elves(Vereesa), Dwarves
New Horde: Orcs, Tauren, Trolls
Forsaken: Undead(Sylvanas), Blood Elves(Kael), Worgen
Sentinels/Exodar: Night Elves, Draenei, Pandaren
Alliance(Order) vs Horde(Primal)
Sentinels/Exodar(Balance) vs Forsaken(Corruption)
With the Gnomes being a subrace of dwarves, and Goblins being neutral but mostly hostile. Assuming the writers wrote the Tauren being more savage and Genn having no feud with Sylvanas and being "forsaken" by his human allies.
I like this idea a lot actually and would definitely enjoy playing all factions.
It's also much better than what someone in one of the other comment sections above came up with.
Duke Lionheart has to be one of the most underrated characters in all of Warcraft.
Malfurian Stormrage and Jaina Proudmoore are my favorite living Warcraft characters
So... if the Nelves joined the Horde, the Belves and the Nborne wouldve joined the Alliance instead?
No, because the Blood Elfs were poorly treated by the alliance in wc frozen throne, so there is no going back to the alliance for them.
If pride gives us pause, my love, then perhaps we have lived long enough already
This was amazing to watch I only wish Id see how did Furion stop Archimonde but the video was cut. Thanks for the upload!
I put too much chili on my chicken
I don't get it.
I put too much chili on my chicken
Well i made some chicken and i have this chili powder at home to spice foods with. But there are 2 different openings one has big holes the other one has smaller. Now i can handle a lot of spicy foods so i thought i'll use the bigger holes and put a larger amount of chili on my chicken, but apperently it was a bit too much cause it was really hot and thats why i said ''i put too much chili on my chicken''
I put too much chili on my chicken
Amazing video for my favourite race, thanks. Furion
Man watching this after Nobbel's old broxigar video is pretty neat, im a little annoyed with how it was handled in the night elf side of the story as Tyrande seems to completely forget she met an orc before and knows about their origin somewhat. Cenarius' comment about them not being any better than the fel in their blood is open enough to stick with the lore that he knew Broxigar too, and knowing that Broxigar, an uncorrupted orc was able to hold back the legion singlehandedly. Kind of chilling, damn Tyrande and her alzheimers.
There peace has been destroyed after garrosh destroyed Jaina's kingdom, Theramore. Horde, Forsaken, and Blood elves vs Humans, Draenei, and High Elf in Battle for Azaroth. Not sure for the night elves, don't know where they stand.
After all that fighting together, the elves couldn't work out something about chopping down trees? I feel like they could have sided with the horde, especially when seeing how the alliance was seen as the aggressors by many.
They could've easily joined the horde considering they were just as savage as them, and were allies for 4 years. If they were true allies, especially after the alliance was the reason they went to Ashenvale (Proudmoore chopping down Thunder Ridge in the Rexxar Campaign) they would've let the horde have Azshara sooner or some other solution. But of course Blizzard needed Alliance to have 1 more race, whereas the horde got forsaken.
Alliance are not the aggressors: Orcs are the invaders of Azeroth. Alliance has actually been the self protective force in the vast majority of lore, including Ashenvale.
Still, orcs killed cenarius, so the NE's hate them.
"alliance was seen as the aggressors by many."
Yeah man the alliance barged in through a portal opened by a fucking idiot, killed and kidnapped humans etc. to fuel some insane ritual, drank demon jizz to empower themselves, committed two ( now three) genocides in a short span of time, enslaved and tortured an entire dragonflight and forced the leader of said dragonflight to be ra*ed by her consort over and over while threatening to kill her children if they don't obey and they always blame somebody else for all of it.
oh wait that was the horde. :^)
If Alliance Elves are Night Elves, why shouldn’t Horde Elves be called Day Elves?
That doesn’t explain why they’re not called “Day Elves”?
Great Video
I only play nelves and belves. I love both their look and their lore
Night Elves and Tauren here.
Too bad our night elves are not portrayed like this anymore.
wc3 models looked way better... Makes me wonder why blizzard made the elves more ugly now. I mean look at the WC3 archers, huntresses... They look different in a way and looked more Night Elf-ish. The Huntresses and Sentries have longer hair and damn, that hair is satisfying to look at. Dissapointed that Blizzard couldnt do the same for WoW
i only used Human and Undeads
bring back old Tyrande.
This video is so ridiculous. The final summarization isn’t even correct.
Originally night elves were going to be horde but there was already too many capitals for the horde in Kalimdor so that’s why they’re on the alliance, it was based on balance not lore.
Do you have a citation for that? Because it makes completely 0 sense for the night elves to join the horde when the horde not only killed Cenarius but invaded Ashenvale for lumber and continued to do so after the legion's defeat, forcing them to join the Alliance as their common enemy was the horde.
Night Elves joining Alliance makes far more sense.
Yes they fought with both against the Legion but the Orcs still murdered their God and burnt down half their forest.
then after allying against the legion Orcs STILL chopped down their forest.
Tyrande however knew of Jaina and thought well of her and so joined the Alliance because whilst they had little in common they still hadnt murdered one of their gods.
source: your ass
i mean, hoooooomans chop tree too?
They're not invading Ashenvale and chopping Ashenvale trees.
I thought Gul'dan brought the Orcs not Medivh, just like the film
Yeah well... Originally Medivh the Last Guardian brought the orcs
Medivh and Gul'dan both did. Medivh opened the portal on our side, the film also hinted at that truth.
This is not.... Clear at all
Fail logic...😂😂 you missed so many key events...
