@thomas9153 the best thing about this recipe as you can choose whatever sort of ingredients you want. so if you are low sodium, just choose ingredients that are lower in sodium
I mince garlic and onions, sweat them in a saucepan and add a can of tuttoruso crushed tomatos, add basil and oregeno, salt and pepper. Cook a bit to bloom the flavor and I have a much less expensive sauce that no jar sauce can beat. Shredding your own cheese is cheaper and better, no cellulose (wood fiber) or natomycin in it, either. I understand that not everyone wants to spend time on prep, but for me the effort is worth it.
SKIP the green peppers....USE....CUBANELLES....aka "Italian frying peppers". They are a much better flavor...even my wife likes them!! A little zesty without the heat and much more flavorful than the metallic "sweet" green peppers. Also....sausage is out on our pizzas.....WE can NOT find any 5-Star restaurants that make the sort of pizzas we make at home....and it will take a 5-Star restaurants to make pizzas as good as we male at home!! For a lot less money than any junky pizza store....which would probably charge you over $50 for what you can make at home with the finest ingredients. (PS : we do use the Boboli, pre-made crusts.....but I have rolled my own dough as well as made crust-less variety. It's ALL in the ingredients!! RAO's is a good pasta brand if you don't want to make your own sauce. Sugar in a pasta sauce is the IMMEDIATE warning sign that what's in the jar....SUCKS!! PS : Try a "white pizza"....using asparagus and morel mushrooms( & fresh basil? or other herbs?) with just cheese and loads of garlic butter(crushed garlic & olive oil/butter) wiped across the crust prior to dumping on the GOOD cheese. (any fresh mushrooms work...with olives and shallots or red/sweet onion slivers, too) ( a mix(layer) of cheeses is a nice variety too.... mozzarella/ sharp provolone w/ feta and black olives) PSS : Vary the toppings and ingrediants....try a 'seafood" pizza I love anchovies...the wife not. I made it and it is great, put a bit of pineapple chunks on it too for my wife. I decided to put a "crust" of lasagna noodles on the bottom. This looks really good. I just found out recently I’ve been cooking ground beef wrong all these years. Going to try this with that new method I learned.
what is your new method? I was just watching something about saving all of the grease and making your own lard with it which I have never been doing, but it sounds interesting.
@@CrystalsCleanKitchen you probably do this already, but I had no idea. You’re supposed to cook past the point of the steam removed to what they call the Maillard reaction, which is basically frying it in its own oils till it’s very brown and jumping off the pan like spitting from cooking so much. It chars it and brings out the flavor more.
Looks great for us low carbers! My grandkids, who do not eat low carb love this as well!. Rao's sauce is the best...expensive but if ya use sparingly it works. I freeze 1/2 portions in zip freezer bags and take out as needed. Thaws in 30 min
For best pizza sauce sauce use 1 can whole peeled tomatoes, one can crush tomatoes, one small can of tomato paste, then salt and season to taste. Cento brand has outstanding flavor.
Honestly your recipe and ingredients are great .. you go the extra cost for better ingredients go the extra for a better pan not a Teflon coated canxer causing pan ..you deserve it !! Cast Iron or stainless steel is my favorites❤
Hi. I've made pizza with cauliflower crust several times. Quite good. Once I tried putting together a carnivore pizza, with a crust made of ground chicken breast and egg. It tasted like regular pizza, as if chicken were one of the toppings. But I grow weary of counterfeit foods like these, which require a degree of make-believe. I like your idea of crustless pizza, which seems less ingenuous. I'll try making it next week. Thank you.

I make a crust from ground chicken or ground turkey with seasonings mixed in - roll flat and bake. I freeze them, then thaw, just add the toppings and bake. Yum
That sounds great
Why on earth would anyone leave out the crust. That's the best part. Lol
It is!! But when you do it without it, it makes your supper so much easier to make
I’m allergic to yeast so obviously I can’t eat it. Thanks for this recipe. It looks delicious!
@Plummie1967 thanks for the comment
Looks amazing! TY! I may order from Marco’s this week, then make my own, later. I’d add Kalamata olives & some feta on top!
Great idea
Look like a really tasty recipe! Do you realizes that mushrooms are grown cow manure! I wash them I don't care what they say!😢
Yes, I totally forgot. Thanks for writing. Let me know once you try it.
I would be more concerned about the pre shredded cheeses than the mushrooms
@pamelamcgurk2101 I know😭 I learned that after I posted this video.
We like everything that you had and we also like black olives, pineapple, thinly sliced ham, bacon and zucchini. Looks really good and we are going to try this very soon.
Those sound awesome. Thanks for watching and let me know when you try it.
you lost me whwn you didn't wash the mushrooms
I like to do it before hand
Don't have to wash off store bought rooms's They are grown in dirt and will absorb too much moisture.
You can wipe them with damp paper towel. Also just bc she didn't wash them you can watch yours. It doesn't mean there's no value to her video.
Thanks for the tip
Most chefs don’t wash mushrooms hold water a wiping with a damp cloth is fine
Love Marco’s crustless so going to try this. I think I will use Italian seasoning & garlic between layers and maybe some red pepper flakes on top.
Oh that sounds good
Sold! I'm going to make this this week! I am dieting and had written off pizza! Now I can have it again!
Love it. Let me know how it turns out
This looks really good.
@Chichimomma wow that's interesting
Thank you I'm starting a low carb diet and you helping me make it fun
Thanks so much for commenting and also thanks for letting me be apart of your journey.
Looks delish - I am celiac so this is perfect
I’m so glad. Thanks for watching.
Looks Delicious love Roa's sauce.
Me too
Funny.. I just discovered Marcos’ Crustless pizza yesterday! Awesome!
It’s good!!
Looks great for us low carbers! My grandkids, who do not eat low carb love this as well!. Rao's sauce is the best...expensive but if ya use sparingly it works. I freeze 1/2 portions in zip freezer bags and take out as needed. Thaws in 30 min
I do sweat the peppers n onion before adding...I do not like my "pizza" watery. The italian seasoning does take it over the top
Awesome. Great advice
I’m so lazy I’ll skip the layering and just mix it all together! Delicious!😊
Hey that’s good also
For best pizza sauce sauce use 1 can whole peeled tomatoes, one can crush tomatoes, one small can of tomato paste, then salt and season to taste. Cento brand has outstanding flavor.
Oh wow that’s really cool
I had it also. I have their place close. It was delicious. I’ll have it again soon.
Yum. It is!!
Honestly your recipe and ingredients are great .. you go the extra cost for better ingredients go the extra for a better pan not a Teflon coated canxer causing pan ..you deserve it !! Cast Iron or stainless steel is my favorites❤
Thanks so much
Looks great! Thanks for sharing. I will try it 👍😉
Yay let me know how it turns out
I pull toppings from the pizza already! So happy I saw this. Definitely going to try this soon!
Yay let me know how it turns out
My favorit pizza is pulling the top off….
@charleencollins1130 But now you don’t have too😄
Me too lol as a kid I only ate the toppings off and left the crust😅
@cleocatra9324 Thanks for watching
Looks great , i will try it
Yay let me know how you like it

Thank you.
The best thing about it is, it’s just so stinking easy! Thanks for writing. Let me know once you try it.
@@CrystalsCleanKitchen Hello. Made your Crustless Pizza today. Delicious. Thanks for the recipe. It's now on my menu. (I have about eight good Keto dinners. Yours is the ninth.) A cheesy layered dish, it reminded me a little of lasagna.
@user-im3tb2in6v yay I’m so glad you liked it.
