Many of our patients express these sensations when describing their post-traumatic headaches. At Cognitive FX, we often encounter various types like cluster headaches around the eye, autonomic nervous system headaches with a tight band sensation, sinus headaches focused near the eyes, one-sided migraines, ocular migraines behind the eyes, and hypertensive headaches at the back or occipital region. 🧠💥
Understanding these headaches is key, as they can often coexist, making the post-traumatic headache puzzle quite complex. 💆♂️💬

I’ve felt like there’s a vice on my head for 26 years after a TBI. Some days it’s really tight and once in awhile it’s not that bad but it’s always there.
i’m sure you’ve been given advice and are not on the mood after this long for some stranger to tell you what might help , but i’ve had pCS for ten years plus and that same sensation chiropractic care helped . so did acupuncture but it has a less lasting effect. it still acts up on weatherly days . just not like it used to be . just hoping to help because i know the vice grip is torture.
yep all of those
You left out vestibular migarine. The kind with vertigo and screen and light sensitivity .
Hello, Dr. Alina K. Fong , myself from Dartmouth College, I deeply value your advice and guidance as it played a crucial role in my recovery from a previous concussion. However, I've encountered a recent incident that has left me in need of your advice once again. I wanted to share that I recently experienced a concussion two days ago, and unfortunately, it has occurred again. I'm wondering, would a sudden sideways motorbike collision with a cycle, causing a forceful movement of my torso ad my head in relative (lateral cervical flexion),can it potentially worsen my previous concussion ?
