Did they both prophesy for 1,260 days and then get killed and lie in the streets for three and a half days, while gifts were sent by individuals rejoicing over their death, only to rise be taken up into the clouds and then the 7th trumpet sound?
It’s quite possible all of those details could be symbolic until a final fulfillment of literal details, but in the historicist model of eschatology, the two prophets are likened to Moses and Elijah.
Moses being the Law (which was describing the Christian church had been mostly antinomian since Rome userped it, until quite recently when the Hebrew New Testament scrolls were found that have certain people groups being adamant that the true name of “God” is now verified as YHVH, the commandments, the sabbath and the moedim) were certainly supposed to continue ), and then Elijah being a symbol of the Netzarim saints who were practically annihilated and the Catholic Church declared them dead and defeated around the 1500s, just before the printing press was invented, which allowed The Word to be distributed to the common folk again and the belief could be “resurrected.”
Just thoughts I’ve heard as I study to try and develop an escatalogical stance of my own instead of what the leadership of the church denomination I was born into taught me.

" We rebuke the Roman Catholics and (un)Orthodox churches for their heresies about Mary, icon veneration, support of war, love of riches, divorce and remarriage, immodest clothing, teaching of evolution, and other damnable heresies. We submit ourselves entirely to the unanimous teachings of the bishops and apologists writing in the first 300 years of the church. Their testimony is truly authoritative and must be obeyed in order to escape the deceptions of the world."
Mary is theotokos and is to be venerated as such, ecummenical councils support this
Icons are well documented to have been created right back to the second century through archeological evidence at least
war is acceptable in circumstances - the early church was not pacifist
The cappadocians at nicea put divorce as acceptable in certain circumstances, the church bears the authority to exercise economy, you see this concept in Christs attitude towards the sabbath works
Orthodox and catholic women still wear head coverings, so your modesty comment is stupid
Nor has the teaching of evolution been dogmatized in the the holy Orthodox church (one holy catholic and apostolic)

11:03 accusing Catholics and Orthodox of simony....
Think about it : you just rebuked almost all modern protestant doctrines as coming from Simon Magus, then accuse Catholics and Orthodox as a whole of a sin that would make their whole Christianity false.
Think : Jesus promised his disciples a Spirit that would guide them into all truth, and that his church will never be conquered by Hades. Where is Jesus' church today?
    - Church of England? Nope.
    - Lutherans ? Nope.
    - American faith alone-ists? Nope.
    - Catholics ? Not according to you.
    - Orthodox of any country? Not according to you.
If the Orthodox and Catholic faiths are false, then Jesus' church has been conquered by Hades. Don't even dare to appeal to a "church hidden for millenia", because that would cotradict Jesus when he said to his disciples that they're the light of the world and they'll always shine to the whole world.

@@lukabrother He's correct that the man, in an ideal world the priest, would be the one overseeing the Baptism (and thus be the one technically performing the baptism). However, men didn't directly touch and submerge women who were being baptized in the early Church (this role would be performed by other women, for the sake of modesty and decency).
It can't be a single immersion, it would no longer be the Baptism which Christ instituted. The Didache and the Church fathers allow for some exceptions when it comes to how Baptisms are specifically carried out, but altering the number of immersions isn't one of them. The first immersion must be made in the name of the Father, the second in the name of the Son, and the third in the name of the Holy Spirit. If this isn't performed then it's something other than baptism.

Excellent video on two very interesting subjects. And yes, as you have pointed out yourself most early Christianity scholars play the role of the Gnostics back on those days not so much in regard to the true doctrines of the church but trying to seed doubt and uncertainty regarding fundamental historical facts concerning Christianity often in a covert and sneaky way. As an example Bart Ehrman would say concerning the resurrection of Jesus Christ that the disciples "definitely belief that they saw Jesus" to imply that they were very honestly and sincerely suffering from hallucinations. A very expensive BBC documentary was made not so long ago concerning the discovery of a very old copy of the gospel of Mark in a remote monastery in the Middle East that apparently ends without relating the resurrection of Jesus. Conclusion: the disciples did not believe originally that Jesus have resurrected but likely later concocted the story just for laughs, you know. As for Gnosticism is alive and well hidden in the doctrines of Communism and the UN fundational papers.
