Genesis Unveiled: Lot's Two Daughters
This is the first in a series of videos where I will expound the allegorical significance, to the best of my ability, of some of the narratives in Genesis. In this video we will examine the symbolic interpretation of Lot, his wife, and his two daughters.
For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction.

What the Early Christians Believed about the Holy Kiss

What the Early Christians of the first three centuries believed about the Holy Kiss. It was also called the “Kiss of Peace,” the “Kiss of Love,” and the “Lord’s Kiss.” This gesture symbolized their affectionate love, peace with one another, and unity of faith through the union of their lips. Instituted by Christ Himself (hence, the “Lord’s Kiss”), this practice flourished and persisted for many...

In other words, the same people you'll see quoted when proving any doctrine held by the ante-Nicene church, such as baptism, the eucharist, or Christ's divinity. If you won't accept the revered Apostolic Tradition in Rome delivered by Hippolytus, or the testimony of Origen, who is the most well-traveled of all the fathers and knew the practices of Christians around the world better than anyone, and if you reject Tertullian's testimony in Carthage as well, then hear the unbiased testimony of a pagan, who delivers the same account, that Christians of that era were well-known for utterly refusing all political office and military service. I could show post-Nicene quotes as well, but you don't seem like you care about the evidence anyway.

Tertullian changed his mind that women were veiling all around the world? What are you talking about? How can a person change their mind about a historical fact? Or maybe you're referring to the fact that Tertullian endorsed infant baptism early in his life but then changed his mind when he became a Montanist. Be more specific with your insane comments. What did he change his mind about? I will not refrain from using Tertullian as a witness alongside all the others. When they're all saying the same thing, why would I omit him? I would only exclude Tertullian's witness if he contradicted the rest of the church. - Luke

I can accept Jesus was unattractive. That makes perfect sense and lines up totally with the Scriptures. Also everything the Cath0lics do is a complete 1nversion of the truth. I do think He must have been physically strong though, as He overturned the tables in the Temple … and they would have been very solid tables! Also I cannot accept that His earthly ministry went on for more than 3.5 years, or that He went to the Cross near age 50. And when you understand Daniel’s 7Oth Week (see David Nikao Wilcoxson - ‘Daniel’s 7Oth Week) you’ll see that this doesn’t fit with the Scriptures at all. I wonder how many ‘Christians’ would walk away based on just Jesus’ true physical appearance. 🤔 hopefully not a lot!

It’s not good to interrupt a man even though what you say is true. You shall not harshly rebuke an elder but gently admonish him as your father. Love is patient and love is not haughty. This is why the young should not become elders because they shall be overthrown because of pride You need to repent of this sin so you may be a messenger of light and life. Are not the inner virtues of modesty, humility, and meekness by which the outer virtues find its foundation greater? And if one fails to conform to the outer virtues in our eyes are rightly rejected by God, how much more of those who failed to possess the inner virtues. Men likewise are to be clothed with the veil of modesty over their lips. If you understand these things, how much more contemptible are you? God will not hold you guiltless for being a stumbling block to the truth by your pride Humble yourself under the mighty hand of God that he may exult you at the proper time Do not exult yourself unless you fall and Fall under the condemnation of evil one Look and understand brothers! how you’re causing so much unnecessary hindrance to the truth in causing people to reject your position simply by your attitude. I’m so grateful that you are speaking truth, but consider what the fathers say. Shall you be guiltless if your a smiter in words when Christ forbid you to be a smiter with your fist? Woa to anyone who causes one of these little ones that are coming to me to stumble? It is better for that person to have a heavy millstone hung around their neck and be cast into the sea. Gods spirit is eager to teach not to condemn Jesus said come and learn from me for I am lowly and meek at heart. Please, brother, I beg of you take Christ as your example.

I really struggled in the beginning with the unkind attitude. Love is gentle and kind and understanding that we live in a day of deception We must speak the truth in love that in all things we may grow in Christ likeness, and the things of God that it may not be a stumbling block and a offense from those coming to the truth. God is not harsh, but gentle patient and not angry. While the Scriptures does say that he is angry with the sinner every day, it is not necessarily emotional attitude , but a judgment that’s such things shall perish It’s important to remember that people today have not left the faith, they never knew it. We live in a day of deception and deceived People in prison, strong guards have been placed on people’s minds and the truth of this message needs to be revealed. Having said that I really appreciated the content the ancient history and the early Christian history. I’m currently only halfway down with the video and so glad that this has been published.

You've been deceived into believing a very effeminate version of Christianity, your own standard would condemn the early Christians, the Apostles, and Jesus Himself. Christians are gentle because we persuade men about the truth, not by force or violence. Christians are loving because we care enough about others to correct them, rather than leave them to be destroyed. We could have been more stern and severe, following the example of the most righteous men who have ever lived, but we didn't go as far as we could have. You would have censured Justin speaking to Trypho, you would have censured Paul writing to the Galatians (or his very severe remarks to the Jews about self castration), and you would have censured the Master Himself on several occasions when He called the respected teachers of His day morons.

A "Christian" woman who disobeys the command is in trouble. "Wives obey your husbands" is not a suggestion. And this study on the early faith shows what a husband is to command. Hi brother, I really appreciate this channel and videos. I want to thank you for your research and sharing your immense knowledge on such important topics. I started investigating the early church fathers to see for myself how things read and how this may affect my beliefs / practices. In this video I again got some new insights/things to consider! However, I want to comment on this statement: Lot was spared for this single good deed. The scripture doesn’t describe any other good deeds of his or any other virtues he possessed. From this, we ought to learn how greatly God esteems hospitality, because this single act was enough to save Lot... From my reading of scriptures, while I would agree that Lot wasn't as righteous and faithful before God as Abraham, I do believe there are at least 2 more things to consider: 1. Lot was not as wicked as the rest of the population: * 2 Peter 2:7-8 as another comment below points out, here it desribes Lot as just (righteous), who was vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked -- vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds) This verse reminds of Ezekiel 9:4-6: LORD said to him, “Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and cry over all the abominations that are done within it ... slay old and young men, maidens and little children and women; but do not come near anyone on whom is the mark I think similarly, Lot was perhaps someone who was "sighing" over the abominations within Sodom & Gomorah. Finally, bible also implies Lot was saved perhaps at least in part for Abraham's sake: Gen 19:29 when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow... it would be possible, since God communicated with Abraham about destroying these cities, that Abraham would plead for Lot Thanks again! I just wanted to share this.

Thank you for your comment. I certainly agree that Lot despised the wickedness happening in Sodom, although he wasn't spared for his hatred of evil but his commitment to a good deed. This video is based on what I've read from the fathers on this subject, very little of the video is actually my own inputs. I'm often quoting various fathers in my videos without disclosing that I'm quoting them, because people are generally overwhelmed by many quotes. That section on hospitality is based on what Origen says, "Hear these words, you who close your houses to strangers; hear these words, you who avoid a guest as an enemy. Lot was living in Sodom. We do not read of other good deeds of his. The hospitality alone occurring at that time is mentioned. He escapes the flames, he escapes the conflagration for this reason alone: because he opened his house to strangers. Angels entered the hospitable house; fire entered the houses closed to strangers." Origen, Homilies on Genesis, Homily 5

I understand and agree, and yet I feel as though I would not be so strict. I am entirely against head coverings that are merely decorations and not truly coverings, for if they were "coverings" they would "cover." I abhor doilies and such things! They are a wicked and evil deceptions, and all who wear them deceive themselves, and do not truly follow the Law of God. But it is also true that religious practice does not save, but rather the heart posture behind the practice. I would rather my wife wear a doily because she is (wrongly) convinced that it is what God desires of her, than wear the most modest face veil but have a heart to wear nothing on her head whatsoever. It is the heart that matters more than the head, for "love covers a multitude of sins" (1 Pet. 4:8). Judge and you will be judged, condemn and you will be condemned, forgive and you will be forgiven (Luke 6:37). Forgive others who continually wear head coverings that are immodest, or you will have merely one day of disobedience and not be forgiven, for as strict as you are with others, God will be strict with you (Matt. 7:2), and you will stand condemned. Again, I agree, veils are for modesty, and the amount of hair that a veil covers does matter, but not as much as the heart posture behind wearing the veil, the posture of wanting to submit to God's royal law. You will do well if you approve what is virtuous without condemning what is unnecessary. Again, "love covers a multitude of sins," and it would be better that all loved each other and none wore veils than that all wore veils and none loved each other. Your words in this video have lacked love. Speak the truth in love (Eph. 4:15), or you do not fulfill God's royal law. We are God's, only if we love one another (John 13:35). Again, your point of view is mostly correct, but if you have the truth but not love, you can only do hurt. And if you have love but not the truth, you love what you do not know, and you will find on judgement day that you have loved what is hideous. So, you must have both truth and love, or you will perish. May God draw near to you as you draw near to Him! Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from this age to the age to come! And with Him be glorified the Blessed Lamb of God, Christ the Lord, and the Spirit which indwells all who are bought by His blood! Amen!

How can a woman claim to love her fellow man while she causes him to stumble? If you acknowledge women should cover because of modesty, why do you condone their immodesty? Love must be demonstrated with actions or else it isn't love. You can't kill a man and claim to love him at the same time. Watch the whole video: ruclips.net/video/xsSKYtF68lg/видео.html

While I agree with most of what you said and learned from it, I was offended that you chose to make fun of another Christian throughout your video, and out of context. It only detracts from your point, and makes you appear childish. I believe we should be very careful in how we treat our Christian brothers and sisters.

@@rhsgrammy3 John MacArthur is not a Christian. If you can't handle my extremely tame conduct, you would be horrified to be in the presence of the Apostles and early Christians.

It's actual ann allegory. God spoke us into existence. So anything he says has to become real. So it starts off allegory, it then turns into factor.
