Revan was more then jedi or sith. he had in insight a few have. the knowledge of light and dark, the firce in balance. despite the fact Luke Skywalker had greater affinity with the Force, Revan had deeper understanding.
Deeper understanding? His Force Ghost is pretty much 100% Light-side, while his corrupted body was 100% Darkside. Like seriously, back up for claims with proof man.
I like it, before 55, it had good individual storylines, AND WE FINALLY GOT TO KILL REVAN. They milked him to hard with novells and games. They should've just quit Revan after KOTOR 1&2, like ffs, let it die, come up with new characters, instead of ruining a perfectly fine character, that wasn't even that great.. he was based upon player decisions lol...
I think it's safe to say revan is on the top 3 of things that need to be retconned, he's simply to important and favored by fans to keep getting ignored
And yet he will continue to be ignored because Disney wants us to focus on their new and in my opinion extremely lame characters. Sorry to those that love the new Star Wars, but I couldn't care less about any of the new characters.
John Gutzat Rey and Fin are cool tbh Just not after she’s a Palpatine but Ben solo idk how people say he’s a good actor he’s just cringe asf like he’s sucks at acting like when I see Rey and Finn on screen the story is flowing when it’s Rey and Ben the acting is just weird also Rey isn’t a good actor too but she’s cute lmao so it’s okay Bc everything looks cuter Bc it’s her doing it but Ben it just looks like he’s gotta take a shit everyday
I've only heard things about Revan, he seems like a very interesting character. Be cool if maybe they make a new novel, or game, to bring him back into canon.
I heard that Revan didn´t really fall at all. As Traya said: "He knew the difference between a fall and a sacrifice", Revan knew that the new Sith Empire was too strong for the Republic and he knew that the Jedi would fall and become Sith, and if this was to happen anyways, he wanted them to be HIS Sith. He neither fell nor was in search for power, he only sacrificed himself so that the Republic could stand a chance.
That's very true. I just wrote a new comment now. About the real reason Revan fell to the Darkside. Swtor have a lot of inconsistencies about the Kotor and its history about the games.
The Mandolorian Wars were made canon, which, all but confirms that Revan is canon. I mean Revan played such an important role in that war, they would have to completely scrap the Mandolorian Wars in order to keep him from being canon.
Revan is easily my favorite Sith. Even when he's was doing what might be considered wrong, his motives were completely pure. Also I like that his strength comes more from intelligence, rather than sheer power. On another note, that part at the end where you asked for likes and subscriptions was one of the most tactful ways of doing it I've ever heard. Most you tubers almost sound like they're begging, and it's honestly a little annoying. But your method is much better. Your content is always top notch, and you deserve every like, comment and subscription you get, and much more. Keep up the good work.
MKIV Supra because they rely on their anger, hate, and fear of losing their power. Jedi use the force to help others selflessly. But with use it to gain power and rule over others. So, yeah. Sith ARE stronger, but Jedi are more Noble.
The Sith are all about seeking raw power, with little to no regard for control. Which usually leads to a great ascension to a life in power, but it's a short reign, tainted by fear and hate. The Jedi tend to focus in controlling their power, rather than endlessly seeking for more. Although that may not quickly grant them all the power that the force can offer, it tends to lead to a more peaceful life, and the possibility of becoming one with the force in the afterlife. tl; dr - Yeah, Sith ARE usually more powerful, but their lives are forever doomed until the bitter end.
To me Revan is more than Sith or Jedi, he is a person who understood the force on very different and higher level than Sith or Jedi ever did. Of course his influence on Jedi and Sith Order are undeniable too but at the end he was so much more than just a follower to to the dark or the light. I really appreciate your channel and the work behind that, thank you.
"Savior, conqueror, hero, villain. You are all things, Revan... and yet you are nothing. In the end, you belong to neither the light nor the darkness. You will forever stand alone." - Darth Malak
Revan is my favorite Grey Jedi. The tactical prowess of Thrawn, the power of Yoda, the skill of Vader. Revan is my favorite force wielder. #GreyJediForever
Im not sure if he qualifies as a Grey jedi because the term implies that the jedi never truly embraces the Dark side, and this is something Revan did atleast for a while.
Delivery of the platinum chip is non-negotiable. EU creators and canon creaters confirmed it was just something a or a few fans came up with, there is nothing in the star wars canon or EU written about gray jedi, its dumb.
They're mentioned in KOTOR 1 and 2. They're mentioned in a lot of Star Wars comics like The Stark Hyperspace War or Legacy. You can see a full list if you look at the 'Appearances' tab of that link i just gave you. You're just plain wrong, even if they're no longer canon (highly doubt that) they're still mentioned in Legends all the time and there's a LOT of Gray Jedi, not just Qui Gon.
Since I learned of Revan, I've come to like his character a lot. While he isn't my most favored Sith of all time, he's definitely my third favorite Sith due to his feats and just how strong and knowledgeable he was of the Force. I sincerely hope he becomes canon some day...
1.Nihilus 2.Vitiate 3.Revan Hey star wars fans, i have a question for you. Nihilus became very powerful because of the force drain power. The force drain power is almost as old as the sith. And many sith before Nihilus new of it. Yet rarely used it. Why? Why didn't Sidious use it? I understand if some sith didn't know of it, but those who did didn't use it much.
Wolf-936 He became a Wound in the Force, like the Exile. But Nihilus used the power of drain to devour everyone. The exile(in the dark side) can also use the technique. After too much use, and his mass slaughter with the technique, he became little more than an echo. More a haunted spirit and a ghost than a man.
True, true. But Nihilus took his robes and mask and infused his essence into them. So his body could stay in the world. I knew nihilus can't last long without draining something, but how long? A few hours? Maybe a day?
Wolf-936 Unknown. I feel it's more than a day, as he required to kill force sensitives to boost himself. After annihilating the Jedi, he didn't have anyone else to feed on. He was nearly starved to death by the time the Exile confronts him. But years had passed between that and the slaughter of the jedi. I assume he can resist quite a while.
Roy Knoops He wouldn't have told padme then they would have gone to the beach instead of having sex so luke and leia wouldn't have been born and he wouldn't have had a vision of padme dying and he wouldn't have turned to the dark side
Even though Revan was forced to become a Sith, he still broke free of Vitiate's control and flat out said fuck you, I'm going my own way, and began forming his OWN empire. Pretty damn admirable.
Oh yes this is probably my #1 video, but Revan is by far my favorite Sith Lord, right behind Vish'iite, and Tulak Hord. I'm getting a tattoo if Revan's image, thx so much for this video!!!
personally Revan is one of my favorite characters any story is interesting because he didn't go to the Mandalorian Wars for vengeance he went to save the people they threaten and I still believe that he only became a cyst to unite the Galaxy is try to stop this is his Empire because he saw that the Republic could not stand up to that new Sith Empire
Why was revan a sith? Why was he jedi? Why was he savior, conqueror, hero, and villain? The answer....because revan was 'all' things....All hail Lord Revan!
Revan is my favorite Star Wars Character Jedi or Sith. I think he never truly "fell" to the dark side, but sacrificed himself to it to protect the Republic. He saw what it would take to defeat the Mandalorians and knew no Jedi could make those sacrifices, so he took that darkness upon himself in order to protect others.
revan is definitely my favorite sith because he walked both the dark and light path learning from both but was able to balance them unlike anyone we have seen
the mandalorians weren't even angry, they saw him as a strategist god and canderous said that any Mandalorian would be a fool to pass up an opportunity to follow revan into battle
Inaset don't use quotation marks for something that wasn't said by him. If you actually play swtor or even watch the story on RUclips it'll all make sense. Revan didn't sound like an "edge teenager" his body was driven mad by from torture and his defeat at the foundry.
You moron Revan wasn't a Jedi or a Sith he was something else entirely. He doesn't owe his loyalty to anyone and also that droid army was meant for the sith Learn your stuff before you open your mouth noob
Is the game still canon? The fact that the Jedi council wiped Revan's mind and tried to sever his connection to the Force was the central plot. It gave you a strong reason (when you play) to reject the path of the Jedi and embrace the dark side of the Force. But it also made the redemption path very compelling. I was glad to know that was the one that became official.
What if the battle betweeen maul vs qui gon and obi wan never happened how would this affect the galaxy how would maul work in the war how would qui gon help the war?
DeKuTree yes but how would maul fit in would he be the CIS leader would he be palps assassin still destroying all people rebelling against him would he be trained more would he fight dooku would he be killed ever would he have a rivalry against Anakin?
Maul would most likely become a real Sith apprentice, because to Sidious Maul was a sad loss and Dooku only a tool to turn Anakin. He would have become a powerful Sith and Dooku would have been a powerful Jedi. Qui Gon training Anakin might have had a different result too and Obi Wan not experiencing the dark side would have also affected the Star Wars universe. Many things would change.
Dark horse legacy comics brought Star Wars into the 21st Century. After Hayden Christensen's role in The Star Wars prequel....the stage was Set for the enhancement and evolution of the Star Wars Universe. Then the adaptation of the old republic Darth Revan, Darth Bane etc...a new more exciting Star Wars world had emerged. Then....The invention of Cade Skywalker & Darth Krayt , made the Star Wars Storyline so cool, that any return to Disney's infatuation with the limited Star wars ( George Lucas) adventures of the 1970's, impossible ......for evolved Stars Wars fans. Disney's been out of the loop....for 20 years. It ain't your Gran-daddy's Stars Wars""" Anymore: Mr.JJ Abrams.
I think Revan was the strongest Jedi/Sith general in all the SW univers. Too bad that Grand Admiral Thrawn and Revan was not born at the same time, it could be some great wars those two might have had against each other...
Your video's are awesome. I like how are short and concise. I have watched other star wars video before and they often become way to long. Your video's are short but are full of info
Ol Saint Lit not achieved her full potential and has much to learn, but very powerful, she managed many times to deal without a weapon, she is also too reliant on the use of two lightsabers, she was a bit weak against Vader cuz she didn't want to kill her former master in anger and become a Sith like him, she wanted to distract him and let him be redeemed and follows the will of the Force, but doesn't know how to redeem him
Guys!! We can have an old republic Netflix series if you sign the petition, just like this comment to make Stupendous see it! Then he can proceed to make a video about it and we're good too go!!
I love your videos and how well you inform people about Star Wars and its vast EU. I love your videos partly because they provide an extra bright spot in my day, learning about something I grew up with and loved. Keep up the Stupendous ;) work.
Robo_Destroyer / Darth Troller No, kylo ren is a whiny, weak brat. He doesn't embody light and dark. He's a scared kid trying to be something he isn't. He is nothing like revan, except for design. He had so much potential too but they fucked it up
He was not forced too use the dark side it was his own will, he wanted it too learn more about the force itself. He also never had fallen too the dark side fully. He was just his own.
Star Wars has so many amazing stories, would love to see them as a movie of a T.V. series. this was a great vid Stupendous Wave, always love learning more about the past of Star Wars. keep up the great work man
as you said, Revan always wanted to know more, that's why he didn't return to the light side immediately, he knew there was knowledge and power he could gain from the sith, and when he learned what he could, he left the dark side behind. Even Malak said he's neutral. "Savior, conqueror, hero, villain. You are all things, Revan… and yet you are nothing. In the end, you belong to neither the light nor the darkness. You will forever stand alone."
Revan was like a Sith Lord version of Big Boss. He later took the idea of capturing enemies and recruiting them rather than just killing them, just like Big Boss and his organizations of Militaires Sans Frontiers and Diamond Dogs. He built an army out of his enemies. He's basically Sith Big Boss and it makes me truly wonder what would happen if a non force user would did the same as Big Boss.
To quote a comment from a while back "I see Revan, I hit like." As far as my favorite Sith is concerned...Revan My favorite a Jedi...Revan The more I learn about the guy the more I find him the most interesting character in Star Wars
Revan is my favorite character in Star wars period! I hope they make a spin off movie about him. So many great Actors would be Awesome as Revan, Fassbender, Bales, Neeson, just to name a few
Revan is my favorite Sith/Jedi character in the Star Wars universe and I love his story and love learning more about him. He's definitely number one on my list.
Revan was more then jedi or sith. he had in insight a few have. the knowledge of light and dark, the firce in balance.
despite the fact Luke Skywalker had greater affinity with the Force, Revan had deeper understanding.
Mean you dont?

Fuckin' Hell Man Lets forget about that awful MMO

Lol you do realise that novell is part of SWTOR right? It came out along with Decieved and others to buff up the marketing for the MMO.
Revan is the most interesting character in star wars imo
hejsantxu I favor both Revan and Nihilus.
Don't forget Kreia (with her dialogue in KOTOR 2)
Interesting and complicated, like Uchiha Itachi in Naruto
@@tommygunengineer9184 yea Kreia is a good character.
I’d say Anakin/Vader is the most interesting
I hope they make Revan canon. We were so close ugh! Definitely one of my all time favorite characters. Thanks for the video SW!
FriedUpChicken Revan is beyond Canon, he's one of the Legends
That's actually a nice way of thinking of it.
FriedUpChicken lol
maeby they'll make a shitty movie with bad comedy one liners
I think he is canon, I'm pretty sure the exile is two
(Never mind googled my answer lmfao)
Revan is actually my favorite star wars character period. I find his whole story interesting and heartbreaking.
Revan is by far the best jedi OR sith to ever exist in the star wars universe as far as I'm concerned
John Doe he mastered both sides of the force
@@robertelliott8943 nah he just mastered the force remember it's just the force not light or dark

My absolute favorite character. Such an amazing story. I love the lore attached to Revan and most of the characters associated with him.
what they did to swotor revan is embarrassing
It's disgusting. The novel and MMO ruined him.
Thank god it’s not cannon can still be saved
One of the good things to come out of Disney de-canonzing the EU, is that the SWTOR retcons for Revan are no longer canon.
@@otherguy9380 The novel is good though :v
Meetra Surik (the Exile) got butchered even more in swotor
Once again a powerful Jedi becomes a Sith - history repeats itself
Man a movie about the Mandalorian Wars and Revan would be great.
Always loved Kotor. A shame Revan didn't make in The CLone Wars alongside Bane, though.
Revan is the Number one sith and Jedi hands down.
Agree
Revan was forced to be a sith lord because he didn't have the high ground
Oliver Pietilä Not bad.
Oliver Pietilä not this again XD

Hardly, Revan was a Sith for such a short time.
I've only heard things about Revan, he seems like a very interesting character. Be cool if maybe they make a new novel, or game, to bring him back into canon.
Revan is my favorite character ever. Love him as the Sith and as a Jedi.
The story of Revan would be an amazing trilogy to make into a movie, another "Star Wars story". Epic.

Who else wants Revan to be canon?
he almost became cannon
I think he is cannon now. Or at least I want him to be cannon
I’d rather Disney not ruin Revan
Not with Kathleen Kennedy anwhere involved
I still don't know how this awesome ass character isn't canon
Incorrect it was actually George Lucas who canned the idea Disney hadnt bought Star Wars during that time.
He shall be canon just wait
The Mandolorian Wars were made canon, which, all but confirms that Revan is canon. I mean Revan played such an important role in that war, they would have to completely scrap the Mandolorian Wars in order to keep him from being canon.

MKIV Supra because they rely on their anger, hate, and fear of losing their power. Jedi use the force to help others selflessly. But with use it to gain power and rule over others. So, yeah. Sith ARE stronger, but Jedi are more Noble.

one of my most favorite characters in star wars lore
Revan is my personal favourite amongst all Star Wars characters. Because he truly followed most of his life his own decisions
The Mandalorian War is technically canon as hinted in Clone Wars
"Savior, conqueror, hero, villain. You are all things, Revan... and yet you are nothing. In the end, you belong to neither the light nor the darkness. You will forever stand alone." - Darth Malak

Because you would end up like Nihilus. A being than NEEDS to continue draining life to continue existing.
I thought the reason he needed to keep feeding was because of the explosion revan caused that ended the mandalorian war and nihilus was caught in it.

You and SW Theory are amazing. I appreciate SW channels like you guys keep it up.
If we ever get a live action Revan, he should be portrayed by Christian Bale.
Julian Whiteway that is actually a pretty good idea
Keanu reeves
keanu reeves would be better than christian Bale i think. :)
imagine the fight scenes
Keanu reeves or Christian bale would be good I could live with either
My favorite force user in SW. Wish we could get more story between Malak's death and him hunting the emperor again.
Revan is my second favorite Sith Lord, the first being Krayt
EVeljko yeah yeah I like where your heads at. Krayt is loco
@Sneed Feed And Seed Vitiate is the best
@Sneed Feed And Seed nah he was a shit person but he’s the strongest force being to ever been alive in my eyes.
Revan has got to be one of my top Star Wars characters of all times. I would love to see a TV series or a movie based on his life.
I think Revan was the strongest Jedi/Sith general in all the SW univers.
Too bad that Grand Admiral Thrawn and Revan was not born at the same time, it could be some great wars those two might have had against each other...
Nope he was nowhere near as strong as Luke/Sidious.
Morten Iversen or how one sided if they teamed up
Your video's are awesome. I like how are short and concise. I have watched other star wars video before and they often become way to long. Your video's are short but are full of info
"How Powerful is Ahsoka Tano?"
Ol Saint Lit not achieved her full potential and has much to learn, but very powerful, she managed many times to deal without a weapon, she is also too reliant on the use of two lightsabers, she was a bit weak against Vader cuz she didn't want to kill her former master in anger and become a Sith like him, she wanted to distract him and let him be redeemed and follows the will of the Force, but doesn't know how to redeem him
I mean she caught a lightsaber and turned it off and even blew up one time just using the force. I'm pretty sure she's very powerful
terribly overpowered
Yoda yes, powerful she is, but finish her training she did not, achieve her full potential she still has to, not even in Rebels she has achieved it
Luke Skywalker didn't finish his training with Yoda too. She's more like Luke than anyone
The ability to suggest ideas into a jedi mind is so powerful, it is no wonder that they must always be mindful of their own thoughts.
Guys!! We can have an old republic Netflix series if you sign the petition, just like this comment to make Stupendous see it! Then he can proceed to make a video about it and we're good too go!!
www.change.org/p/the-walt-disney-company-bringing-the-old-republic-era-of-star-wars-to-netflix is the petition
I think he already made a vid about it.
That's never going to work change.org is useless
Exar kun The dark side cosmic entity no but dave filoni and jon favreau would be amazing
I love your videos and how well you inform people about Star Wars and its vast EU. I love your videos partly because they provide an extra bright spot in my day, learning about something I grew up with and loved. Keep up the Stupendous ;) work.
Why do Revan & Kylo look so much alike???
Cause Kylo is a wannabe!
cause disney stole Revans design to make us hype when we saw him in the trailer.
John-Michael Barnhill Kylo is the canon replacement for Revan, embodiment of dark and light
Robo_Destroyer / Darth Troller No, kylo ren is a whiny, weak brat. He doesn't embody light and dark. He's a scared kid trying to be something he isn't. He is nothing like revan, except for design. He had so much potential too but they fucked it up
+Luis Lockhart But remember that in episode VII Kylo was only young untrained guy. We will see his full potential in next episodes ;)
Excellent work as always.
SPOILER WARNING FOR KOTOR INCOMING
now that that's over, Reven is my favorite sith lord because he is me.
He's even the best character in Star Wars in my opinion. And one of the coolest characters in any franchise.
How the hell did Malak lose his jaw?
Michael Vander Wal it was cut off in a duel with revan
AJ Mesaros Interesting. I wonder why Revan would have done that.
Malak like all Sith tried to usurp Revan but failed miserably.
Revan heard Malak was talking shit
Yoda 😂😂😂😂
revan truly was one of the greatest sixth, my favorite because of his power, mask and exposure to both the light and dark sides of the force.
PLS REPLY
I really u to reply I love your content and I already know this video is going to be good
*really want u
Okay;)
Yeesssssss my life goal has been completed :-D
They need to make a mature Revan tv show to describe him, the mandalorian wars, and it's connection to the wider star wars universe.
He was not forced too use the dark side it was his own will, he wanted it too learn more about the force itself.
He also never had fallen too the dark side fully. He was just his own.
I like how Revan took that guy's jaw in a duel
Star Wars has so many amazing stories, would love to see them as a movie of a T.V. series.
this was a great vid Stupendous Wave, always love learning more about the past of Star Wars.
keep up the great work man
hes my favorite Sith next to Vadar, because they both remind my own humanity always waging between the dark and the light.
Revan is my favorite sigh and maybe even my favorite character in all Star Wars!! His story is so intriguing and his power is off the charts
Revamp is my all-time favorite Sith, he is who I'm gonna be for Halloween 2018
as you said, Revan always wanted to know more, that's why he didn't return to the light side immediately, he knew there was knowledge and power he could gain from the sith, and when he learned what he could, he left the dark side behind. Even Malak said he's neutral. "Savior, conqueror, hero, villain. You are all things, Revan… and yet you are nothing. In the end, you belong to neither the light nor the darkness. You will forever stand alone."
He represents even when falling into the darkness, the light is always waiting for you to be redeemed
Revan is Not Just my favorite Sith but my favorite Star wars character so far.
I love Revan as a character because of his intellect and strategic genius. Reminded me of Exar Kun.
Revan is my favourite character. Period. What a champ.
video was amazing bro. there's no such thing as too much star wars knowledge
by far my favorite Sith of all time. hope they can make a film about him kinda like Rougue one.
To quote a comment from a while back "I see Revan, I hit like."
As far as my favorite Sith is concerned...Revan
My favorite a Jedi...Revan
The more I learn about the guy the more I find him the most interesting character in Star Wars
Revan is 100% my favorite sith, I love layered characters like him. I really hope he becomes canon again...
Revan is my favorite character in Star wars period! I hope they make a spin off movie about him. So many great Actors would be Awesome as Revan, Fassbender, Bales, Neeson, just to name a few
Stupendous Wave Yeah Revan is my favourite sith because of his incredible history
Revan is my favorite Sith/Jedi character in the Star Wars universe and I love his story and love learning more about him. He's definitely number one on my list.
thanks for this video mate!
