Love my Nikon F3 but I will never get rid of my F and F2
I prefer battery-independent manual/mechanical film cameras. The Pentax Spotmatic is one of my favorites. Spotmatics only need batteries for the camera's built-in light meter.
Yes there is something reassuring in the fact that of a camera that works with out a battery I have a couple ,and if I’m away I always take one just as back up thanks for the comment
Nice video. I guess it is different for each one of us as to what is the best film camera. I usually tended to gravitate towards my plastic fantastic Nikon F75 until recently for it's small size, awesome feature set for what it was marketed as and the ability to put on some amazing Nikon glass. I now also have acquired an F80, a significantly minor upgrade over the F75 but phenomenal nonetheless. Else it is the Canon EOS Elan 7E for the Canon side of things. And on the mechanical side, it is usually the Pentax K1000 or the Nikon FM2n or F2 which is a monster camera.
Cheers!
the Elan 7e is a great camera and top in the running for the video with the 40mm sam pancake it just brilliant the Mz -s only just pegs past it due to a few etc features and the way it feels in you hand ...thanks for the comment
It indeed is. I too have been wanting to add the 40 mm pancake or the 50 mm f/1.8 STM to my collection. Will make it a pretty compact setup. 😊
OM 1n. small, sturdy and aesthetically the most beautiful camera ever.
Regarding 35mm SLRs, I agree.
The Pentax MZ-S does not have a big color LCD on the back like the one you show in this video. Looks like a digital camera to me. Which one is it really?
The pictures I’m showing are of a Pentax prototype for their first full-frame digital camera, which was never put into production. As you can see, the body design of this camera is based on the film Pentax MZ-S. For a deeper dive into the film MZ-S, check out this video: ruclips.net/video/q1Om190ViLQ/видео.html. Sorry if that was unclear earlier!
Enjoyed the video! Serial number that starts with 5 is most likely gonna have brass mirror motor cog. I had one with the battery grip. I have never missed an exposure with this camera. I agree it is a great camera though I sold it off because I just couldn't justify keeping it. I replaced it with the cheaper black MZ-3 with a factory brass cog. I also have the MZ-6 with a factory brass cog. The MZ cameras have a bad reputation of breaking because of the plastic cogs that break but if one can find copies with brass cogs, they are really good cameras and the metering is quite spot on. Not to mention that modern lenses can be used on them. I am using the latest HD FA 35mm f2. Ah but of course I have the F 28mm 2.8 just because this is a 28mm channel.
F5 or F6..
Best camera is Globus K 5x7 with dry plates and brass lens Suter Basel 210mm from 1900s
Very interesting. I've never considered getting one.
Yes, a great camera because of its diminutive size, its ergonomics and the fact that all old A and new Pentax glass will function perfectly.
Funny this video as I am currently on the lookout for one. A proper one😇
EOS 3 is my go-to. I would love to use Pentax as my main, but I only have one autofocus lens system at this point, and I need good video capabilities and a flip screen. Hopefully the K1iii add both of those features, at which point I'd switch in a heartbeat.
yes the K1 is a great camera but no go for video I normally use a r5c or C70 .the EOS 3 is another great camera
Nope. The opposite of classic elegance. Enjoy it nonetheless.☕👍
Ha! Yeah your mileage may vary but for me it just become a the one ..
@@28allday Yeah, there's nothing like finding your perfect camera.👍 Mine is an old Canon VT Deluxe rangefinder with a Voightländer 21mmf4 Color Skopar MC LTM. In unorthodox baseplate film advance(perfect for Left eyed shooters) and an unorthodox everyday lens but I love it. Congrats on your camera 👍📷
