As a clinical neuropsychologist, I can tell you Dan is beautifully describing the mindbody potential to direct what I call your theater of change. He is truly brilliant.

As the client of a clinical psychologist, I can tell you this describes my experience of healing exactly! This works! I think the "plane of possibility" is a conceptually brilliant metaphor for this process.

This is the mechanical beginning of realizing one's spiritual nature. When done consciously, it's the start of reaching one's destiny.

This clip right here has everything necessary to qualify for the awarding of a Nobel Prize, along with the medal and the million dollars, to Daniel Siegel. This short clip says it all about the human condition. Moreover, it provides the formula for healing. I am blown away and will commit this information to memory with a view towards helping others, as well as myself.

Dr Dan, as the result of two of his videos, has opened my mind to the understanding of how I likely was effected by Disorganized Attachment.
I will spend time processing my unique circumstances.
I hope to see more of his work. Many thanks to whomever allows his work to reappear. I've never previously known of Dr Dan.

I agree with this interpretation of change. It is a more neurological description that not many psychological professionals are able to speak in. However, I must add, that for certain personality constructs the change in that “way of being” will reduce to a lower stage. For example, penetrating a narcissist’s overblown sense of grandiosity (ie False Self) will yield a Borderline state as the reduced state of being, then must be reduced again to lower level (say codependency).
As Dan explains, this doesn’t necessarily need to be in a therapeutic setting. The deed of instruction can be by a talented individual essentially taking on a parental role and instructing by impeaching cognitive distortions (grandiosity, biases), introducing doubt, being a “safe base”, all with the intent to yield cognitive and behavioral modification. The literature describes Mortification - but in this sense it is to bring life, not break down. A Resurrection.

Holy @$#%! This video is the science I've been looking for. Since I experienced severe trauma I've felt my potential open up but my past self before the trauma very hard to work with, which isn't going too well job wise.. i can't connect to my 25 year career anymore.

I understand, I had the same. I am working on this hard as we speak. This is a shot in the dark from here, but do you know if you had a previous sibling die before you were born? Or perhaps your mother had this in her history? If you think this might be the case, look into ‘Replacement Child’ (syndrome).

The best things, to bypass the head, has been Re-Birthing-Breathing (for many of us). Gives people with difficulty, from different traumas, a possibility, to Realy Stay in their own body, with what the body has stored.
Many do not understand the difference it makes, until they have tried it for a longer time, than 1-5, it takes time, to get to the core issues, and talk-therapies, of any kind, has never helped those stuck in a trauma, violent or not, or emotional, to get into the core and let it go, on deeper levels.
Meditation is a helping tool, but mostly not helping to release if not trained for many years. There can stay, parts of what body, wont release. One piece a time, often comes up out of breathingtechniques, and may take more time, than many has patience for, and often one has to take it slowly.
Breathing do help so much deeper, (than talks or intellectual stuff) when the frightened parts start to come up through the surface, and is seen and welcomed, up through all the layers, of small/big traumas, still residing in our deepest parts of our bodies.
It is so important, to dare to Feel, more than ever today. And a Safe place to bee seen and held.
