Thank you for your kind comments. I hope you found the video helpful and took some buying tips away with you. More tips and videos are on their way. Gary.
The old finger gauge, hope you had that calibrated 😂 Another good tip is each head light will have dates on them make sure they match (within a day or two) 👍🏻
Nice review. But a couple points. M2’s have orange peel from the factory in the A pillars. They also have dust in the paint on the tail gate, nothing major but not acceptable for a new car. Also, the finish of the lacquer isn’t great. I had mine flattened in places. BMW said its hand built 🤷🏻♂️. Lastly, they all rattle from the dash. So expect it. Finance companies can take months to show it’s cleared. I know it’s not a mechanical inspection but I check for lips on the brake disks and just have a Quick Look under the oil filler cap for emulsion. These aren’t know for head gaskets but it doesn’t hurt to check while the bonnet is up.
Hi Gary I'm looking to buy a bmw m2 competition can you please let me know prices for what you charge as I would like to use your service. Warmest regards John 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
An excellent and very informative and professional video - do you have a website that describes your consultancy services and charges. Regards, Richard Elsden.
I’m glad you said about the chips on the front lower bumper as mine has a few, but when I come to sell it I’ll use the it’s platina, and a used car so your gonna expect it As I’ve part exed cars before back to dealers who go over it n knock price by them Really like a video of painting the brake hubs as I’ve wanted to do it on my m2
My Comp's twin. The one thing that bothers me about this car is it has sat outside. Not idea IMHO. A ton of corrosion was visible on components under the hood. Doesn't hurt anything, but doesn't look good and a garaged car won't have this problem. Otherwise, I think he's found a gem here.
Stop rubbing your hands against the paint especially on a dirty car your just making more swirls and scratches appear. You actually make me cringe doing it, you put your hands on the floor then rubbed the car like wtf are you doing ??
Excellent advice given, you can’t buy experience!

I will definitely get a video put together showing the quick way to tidy up the brake disc shanks. It’s easy and non expensive to do. Thank you.
@@garyrolfe4895 I’ll keep an eye out for it, also if u do touch up them alloys, as I need to do one of mine just on the edge

Sounds like your more of a car sourcer than a dealer. Quite a big difference
Got a manual m2c in black myself. It picks up stone chips like a mf
