      2008 Volvo, with 5-pot D5 engine... 165k and runs like new, passed MOT without advisories as usual. Should have at least the same mileage left in it, probably more.
      Volvo's tend to have good service history because owners like and care about them... They generally don't appeal to people who buy cars as whitegoods and run them until they break without doing preventative maintenance.

    Reverse camera tagged onto the reverse light wiring to triger the camera on the screen ...tricks the canbus system into thinking there is a fault with the gearbox and gives short to ground codes for gear position and confuses the transmission control module flagging codes.

    The issue here is probably the transmission control module (or whatever they call it). It is the same issue with 2103 - 2018 ford Focus cars. Reset via the the OBD and put in a new battery ( or check it. this is why the car looses its control settings) and make sure the earth contact on the body is not onto a painted panel (issue with Ford). Undo the -ve, scrape the pain away, reconnect, then seal over.

    The added reserve camera could’ve been tapping power from the auxiliary systems, and the 5 volt rail could’ve been over stressed. That could’ve caused an ECU under voltage bringing up error messages and preventing the correct transmission operation. This issue was seen on systems that used for example Pedal Commanders, which tapped the voltage on the ecu and caused errors. But I’m guessing here, don’t kill me.

After 3 weeks of ownerships it had to be taken in for over a week for a failed pcv that leaked oil onto the dpf and nearly started a fire. Got it back and a cv joint was crackling. Contacted the dealer and was told they’d order one straight away. Two weeks past and they told me they forgot to order it. Then a coolant system service required warning came up on the dash. They plugged it in, erased the fault and told me the cv joint would be done in two weeks. Light came back on a few days later and now they won’t answer the phone or reply to messages. I've always taught my kids, if you can't afford to buy it, you don't buy it. Finance is NOT an option. Save for it and look after it, whatever it is. It's why so many people havent got a pot to p**s in. House on finance, car on finance, clothes on finance/credit. Best thing for dealers to do is to go back to old fashioned cash. People are getting too aware that they can run a car on finance cheaper than renting one etc. She'll get another one from somewhere else and probably IMHO do the same thing. Finance houses will bend over backwards once they lose dealers.

    • @Ultravox1981
      @Ultravox1981 8 месяцев назад

      @@taxidmac5907 lol finance is a generic term covering mortgages etc. When you buy anything on finance you pay a large interest payment. On a car that can be up to a quarter of the value. That money could be used to buy other things or to save for a rainy day. I agree with you, she will find it more difficult perhaps to get finance, but there are so many lenders out there wanting to make profits that I doubt she'll find it that hard.

    Clutch is a known wear and tear item. Much like the brakes, if it is working when purchased, then 5 months later, the brake pads wear out.... you can't return the car for a refund. You buy new brake pads. Or a new clutch. I wasn't going to buy my car... but when I saw it had a new timing belt, clutch and DMF £1000+ worth of work for a £1500 car, I bought it on the spot. 120k miles later... clutch is just about slipping when hammering it. Should I return it to the dealer? 🤣🤣

    Nice footage for the bank about their customer and her behaviour - and she will for sure watch this video and someone will ask her also cause she will have been telling a complete different story about the car, the seller, and what not. THat is how those girls behave but also get in troubles with their friends who do not like to see such a different view and picture you were able to provide.
    Here she would have to pay for the usage (months and km and depreciation too), also for every new damage based on the protocol when the car and keys had changed hands and then things get more complicated and quite expensive which will stop those people to continue cause the banks will not play this game twice cause they also loose money if such a contract ends .
