    Song lyrics/meaning: This isn't just about religion, teachers/schools, but more so about anyone in "authority" or who believes themselves to be in authority. Taken on the whole, don't just take what people say at face value, use your own mind and think for yourself.

      Lol I was thinking for myself but I am not very good at interpreting lyrics, to be honest. Only thing I can do is try but more importantly, enjoy :)

    It is a pleasure watching someone discover Jinjer and take the "Jinjer Journey" much like I did when I "discovered" them in 2017. I also want to commend you for taking the time and effort to read and understand the lyrics. Tati has said on many interviews that she wants people to know/learn the lyrics as she puts so much effort into writing them and pours her soul into them. It's so easy to be blown away by her vocals and range as well as the master musicians in the band, but her songwriting is pure poetry, literally. I hope you enjoy the journey and stick with it, and I've subscribed and liked your videos. I you ever have a question, aside from looking up the answer, members of the Jinjer Army will most definitely be more than happy to give you a multitude of answers!

      The introvert anthem. I'm an introvert and I liked her before I heard that song. After hearing that I was in love. Not in a creepy, stalkery type of way but Tati is great. Call her a symbol? I Speak Astronomy is also a song of their's that you need to listen to. Still gives me goosebumps.

    Uh oh round 3 HAHAHA, But hey when you said the crowd is scary, honestly its not. When people in the mosh pit everyone stops and make sure that person is okay and then they start back up again, even when someone drops their glasses or phone they stop the pit just to find it haha. But totally looking forward to the Jinjer and possibly that Spiritbox journey that I spoke about last Jinjer video haha. Also if you have the time I have Perennial and also Teacher, Teacher when I saw them live on my channel, if you're interested.

    I can't wait for their new album early 2024!!!

    Going a bit against the grain, but you should check out Vortex. It's about how chaotic she can be, especially when it comes to composing. The guys write the music for a song, and then she writes the lyrics. Taty is a powerhouse, but the guys (Vlad, Eugene and Roman) are phenomenal musicians.

    Lol, you never know the exact ending of a Jinjer song. Jinger, Nightwish, Archenemy, Ignea, Epica, Spirit Box and other like bands have a large and very loyal fan base and very helpful in jump starting a new RUclips channel. The Jinjer adventure has been my favorite so far and I found I became a fan of extreme female vocals becuase of Tatiana.

    I'm very glad You are liking this kind of music more and more. I'm sure that You will learn to understand harsh vocals eventually. At first I couldn't understand a word during those parts, but now I can distinguished most of those words, so I'm sure You will learn to listen like me as well. One of the favorite songs from Jinjer that I would recommend now would be "Vortex". Great reaction! 😃

    In this song especially, did you notice that when she switched to her growl it was when she wanted to express a strong emotion? I think it's an excellent way to convey emotions if you're only listening to the music and not watching the video. Loved your reation again. Please can we have more Jinjer, like the tracks suggested in these comments?

    Really enjoying your journey with Jinjer! It has been great getting to watch what it is like to discover their music. I hope you never feel pressured to like this music. Harsh vocals don’t have to be for everyone and I always appreciate when people can acknowledge talent even if the songs are not to their taste. Hope you keep doing more! I would recommend “Vortex”, “I Speak Astronomy”, “Home Back” which has deep personal meaning to them, and “Bad Water” which is all sung

    As someone who participated in several mosh pits i would love to tell you what the experience feels like.
    First of all even though it looks horrifying and brutal, it is important to know that metalheads are usually very gentle and fiendly people abd nobody is actually violent in a mosh pit.
    It's a bit like play fighting with alot of people just for the fun of it while your favourit music plays in the back and to be perfectly honest "play-fighting" is even still not a gentle enaugh expression to explain what is going on.
    I have seen somebody fall to the ground and immediately 5 people stopped and watched out for that person, lifted him up and made sure nobody would step on him.
    I have seen somebody scratch their knee bloody and some stranger came up to him and gave him a bandage.
    They might all be strangers to one another but the sense of community in metal is so strong that mostly it feels like you are there with a large group of friends you haven't met yet.😅
    After a moshpit everyone has the biggest smile on their face, its actually a pretty wholesome experience when you boil it down to the feeling.
    They really don't want to hurt each other they just want to dance very wild.
    There is a lady called Melissa Cross who was the first person to give professional singing lessons for harsh vocals and she said in an interview that she is convinced that the metal comunity is an extention of the hippie movement in a way.
    Metalheads really gigured out how to be emotionally free and give each other the room for unfiltered expression.

    If you ever want to try out some metal that is not as 'aggressive' I'd like to recommend a group called 'Babymetal'. They basically invented a new subgenre that combines pop and metal, so they actually do a lot of the things you mentioned you don't love about Jinjer differently, like the vocals and happy lyrics for example 👍

  • @adamhenton6221
    @adamhenton6221 9 месяцев назад

    It's not as much about understanding the lyrics but listening to the experience that the song provides and then if you like that you go back to the lyrics and dissect it further but everything is meant to be as its own experience. And the screaming is more of a darker color.

    Harsh vocals are tough to understand, but usually very interesting underneath them. I just found your channel. Good luck with it!
    Here are a couple bands you may find interesting. Epica is a symphonic metal band with a great mix of harsh and beautiful clean vocals. They are out of The Netherlands and have been around since the late 90s. Try their songs Consign to Oblivion or Essense of Silence.
    Another band that has primarily harsh vocals is Arch Enemy. Their lead singer, Alissa White-Gluz is incredible. Check out the songs Deceiver, Deceiver, and Handshake with Hell. I think you'll love it! Subscribed!

    A metal crowd is far more of a safe place than a pop crowd.. While it looks violent there is crowd adequate in the metal world, if someone wants to be let out or if someone falls over/gets hurt, you're picked right back up in the metal world. The issue with pop crowds is that they often get the idea that you're meant to hurt people, or be a dickhead.. The only ill will I've seen at gigs is always with a pop crowd.

    The song isn't about religion. Tatiana has explained that the song is not about actual teachers; but people that claim to teach others and believe that only their opinions are factual, authority figures, etc..

  • @JariJuslin
    @JariJuslin 9 месяцев назад

    Having to have lyrics at hand for couple of the first listens is, tho, not a crime. It's been a norm in metal for quite a long time. In fact opera did this already hundreds of years ago - having leaflets with words for the audience, because you could not reliably make out the words.
    Tatiana has unusually good diction, but this is still "form over function" music - she's relaying emotions with the expression style.
