    Good news that the new 17 round mag is made in the USA. The others were all made in Italy. This is a big deal if you understand how manufacturing will stop in many European cities this winter as they run out of fuel and electricity. Excellent that Sig made this change.

    • @sethrich5998
      @sethrich5998 2 года назад +1

      That’s actually bad news. The P365 had them both made in Italy (Mec-Gar) and USA (Check-Mate) to meet supply. The Italian made Mec-Gar mags are noticeably higher quality than the USA made Check-Mate mags. This is particularly true of the surface finish. The USA Check-Mate mags rust like crazy in humidity.

    I've recently been working on a P365 XMacro build. I started with a standard XMacro non comped version. I recently purchased a Tier 1 concealed holster setup for the xl frame size with a tlr-7 sub light. The advantage I've found over getting the 365xl holster is that with the Wilson Combat p365 x macro frame with the short style sig rail you can run a x macro size frame and an xl size frame in the same holster. Essentially two guns in one holster. One for deep concealment t-shirt days and one for sweater/jacket days. However I've found myself enjoying the size of the XL frame more and with all the magazine extensions and everything you can get good capacity. I think the idea of these mag extensions are a great thing because it essentially does the same thing as having a bigger frame. I just wish the factory sig adapter for the 17 rounder would add an additional palm swell area to match the back strap.

    Very cool, The X macro is pretty cool but I am more interested in the newly announced Xmacro tacops, same size grip and slide but instead of a built-in compensator you have the 3.7 inch barrel of the XL. Personally I would rather have the extra velocity as even the standard 365 is not hard to manage. The tacops comes with four 17rd magazines, and it’s nice to know that I would be able to slap those in my 365 SAS in a pinch.

Once the prices are normalized I'll definetely play Sig lego and customize my own version. I do have to agree with you that the 17 rounder does look a tad ackward on the xl but it was worth trying. One thing I can say with full confidence is that SIG SAUER ROCKS! They've definetely got some geniuses behind the scenes hitting it out of the park. Their customer service gets an A in my case as they have always gone above and beyond. Have you tried the mag guts yet? I bought 2 kits for my 365X to make the 12 rd mags into 14 round mags.
    I think that having 14 in a more easily concealed pistol is where the X really shines over the Macro. That said, I still bought the Macro Tac Ops because the 365 is such a joy to shoot. I chose the tac ops over the compensated version because I think that the compensation is marginal and the value of getting 4 - 17 rd mags with the tac ops along with the magwell we’re a better fit and value for me. It shoots great but strangely enough I feel that the 365X is less snappy. Both are tack drivers.
