Kemba needs to get back on a team that really could use him. Personally (I'm not saying this just because I'm a Wizards fan) I think DC is a perfect fit for him. Lets him be the primary ball handler, no competition, would work great with Beal, and he would def. go back to his Hornets or first year in Boston self.
Tony Parker, Kevin Johnson, and Tim Hardaway all are short PG's who relied heavily on their quickness and yet had a couple of really good years after the age of thirty. To be fare, all three also had deadly outside shots and were much more pass-first PG's than Kemba, (especially Parker), so I take ur point
y'all too premature with narratives.. it's all about the right situation when it comes to playing ball, if you play you know.. i'm not even this huge kemba fan but i'm not going to say he's out of the league.. quick to push people out of jobs.. i'll take kemba over quickley
he would and should fit perfectly on that knicks team. unfortunately injuries have derailed his ability to do what he did in Charlotte. Wish nothing but the best for him moving forward.
Answer is simple he was a speedy undersized guy that lost a step. Every guy with his style of game/ body type had a steep drop off when they lost that burst
Brad Stevens has done a great job in Boston including getting rid of Kemba and getting Horford back..Hiring EME as coach and bringing Theis back, great moves..I think Brad should be up for GM of the year and IME coach of the year.. Lets go 💚
Organization of the year, for sure. In every way, they're creating what the next modern NBA will look like and that's a great thing! Stars actually playing the regular season games, humility, ball movement (instead of hero-ball ISO's), off-the-ball movement, wins over individual stats, sense of humor over ego, etc.. Go C's!
He played incredibly well at the start of the season. He started on the All Star team, and if you look back, he was mentioned every week on the KIA MVP ladder. Not to mention, he was the exactly the type of locker room guy the team needed to recover from all the nonsense and drama. As a Celtic fan, I'll always have a lot of love for Kemba. I actually hoped he made us look stupid this year by coming back to form proving everyone wrong. Sad story for such a good dude.
NBA players under 6 feet tall who aren't pass first just aren't worth big contracts, and even the pass first guys are rarely worth it (CP3 is the type that is worth the money when healthy).
The difference between Chris Paul Situation and Kemba is Chris Paul is crafty, doesnt use speed but rather his ball handling, craftiness and the guy is smart asf to get defense confused, and great passer too. Kembas game rely on Quickness, Speed and Ball Handling skills leaving defenders behind.
NOW DO KYRIE IRVING!!!! He's almost 30 and hardly plays! He is the next Kemba Walker and I know you believe it to be true. Don't let your Nets bias tell you different.
Seems like when these short guys start losing their athleticism and speed they just fall off quick. Unless it's someone like CP3 who is just a point god.
@@HouDeani I think Mike Conley, Kyle Lowry, or Damian Lillard might fall off before kyrie. For one kyrie is healthy and barely plays so he has more time off. Mike been hurt could fall off. Lillard wasn't having the best year this year and got hurt so could fall off too.
Call me an idiot, but I want to see him return to the Knicks next season. This season wasn’t his fault, his shooting percentages stayed the same, but he was playing less minutes and he wasn’t taking anywhere near the number of shots he normally takes, because of Randle’s ball dominance. If he takes this off-season to work on himself and his health, I think he’ll come back a lot stronger and better next season
Probably to never play consistently at the NBA level ever again. As a Knick fan, watching him play last year was heartbreaking. He clearly has lost a step and then some. He cannot create his own shot like he used to, he's slow to get to the paint (factor in his teeny height and you can see why that's an issue), and he was an absolute turnstile on defense that made him practically unplayable for a Knick team with a defensive identity. I loved those few games he showed the flashes of the old Kemba, but they were fleeting moments that were the last hurrah of a great but sad career.
He needs to look at what Drose did, and realize and accept that at this stage of his career he's better suited to come off the bench and play a limited amount of minutes

Thanks for the work you did for Charlotte. God bless you Kemba!!
y'all too premature with narratives.. it's all about the right situation when it comes to playing ball, if you play you know.. i'm not even this huge kemba fan but i'm not going to say he's out of the league.. quick to push people out of jobs.. i'll take kemba over quickley
Forreal. Dude won player of the week like 2 weeks before shutting it down for the season.
Really miss Cardiac Kemba😕
8:29 it was not disaster from the start
The knicks one a 2OT against the Celtics with Fournier and Walker having great games. But continue
NYK, where elite point guards go to die.
If charlotte would’ve at least attempted to build a team around him before he got injured his career would’ve been way different
They did attempt to be fair. Its just harder for mediocre small market teams.
he would and should fit perfectly on that knicks team. unfortunately injuries have derailed his ability to do what he did in Charlotte. Wish nothing but the best for him moving forward.
His knees fell apart, that's what happened.
Jeremy Lin helped him alot back in Charlotte
small dudes who lose a step really struggle in the league.
If Charlotte would've surrounded Kemba with more talent than he wouldn't have wore down as quickly as he has
I'll never forget how he basically willed UConn to the national championship.
I still remember that there was a time I thought kemba is the next kyrie, or atleast closest player to compare to kyrie
I’ll miss Kemba
I wonder how Kemba Walker reacts seeing a guy who clearly hasn’t played any competitive sport in his life, that it’s over.
It's crazy how people said he was wasting his talent by playing with the Hornets, seems like he was bette off while playing on the Honerts
this hurts as an hornets fan💔
Nick Nurse Exposed Him During TOR-BOS Playoffs back 2020 I think
I remember when everyone was clowning charlotte for choosing rozier over kemba, boy how wrong were they
Answer is simple he was a speedy undersized guy that lost a step.
Go C's!
He should rest up, adjust his diet and training regimen, and should try to somehow get to a place like the Jazz, Mavericks, or Lakers.
to think in 2019 he had the best career in his life but after Charlotte and went to Boston, it was all over for him
He played incredibly well at the start of the season. Sad story for such a good dude.
he was overrated..didnt deserve to be an all-star..he was just a volume shooter with a horrible FG%...
NBA players under 6 feet tall who aren't pass first just aren't worth big contracts, and even the pass first guys are rarely worth it (CP3 is the type that is worth the money when healthy).
Man I remember the WHOLE NBA community roasting tf out of Charlotte and MJ when they let him go, looks like they had they last laugh
CP3 = PG.
NOW DO KYRIE IRVING!!!! He's almost 30 and hardly plays! He is the next Kemba Walker and I know you believe it to be true. Don't let your Nets bias tell you different.
Are you okay in the head???
Seems like when these short guys start losing their athleticism and speed they just fall off quick. Unless it's someone like CP3 who is just a point god.
He needs to take the d rose bounce back blueprint. I feel like he could hopefully. Could be a 6th man of year one year hopefully
Kyrie Irving is thee next quick 30 year old guard to fall off tell me different.
Your delusional if you think that. He could be a six man but not competing
For 6moy candidate
@@maximusorbis2548 I never said that wtf you on about
@@doggyd619 you literally said “could be a 6th man of year one year hopefully” exact words son. Ur on crack
Writing was on the wall when they sent him on the fiba team and they didn't even medal...I'm looking at you too Donovan mitchell
Bring him back to the Hornets
Shooting not quick enough, not big enough to provide better defense r just the 2 shortcoming I can point out on top of my head….
This video makes me sad
I’d honestly use part of the Cs Fournier TPE to bring back Kemba this offseason.
No
Man it sucks I thought kemba would finally give us some stability at the PG position but add him to a long list of bad PG
i dont think he sucked at all
hey you, guy in the video lol🤣 you look like jack black lol🤣 funny
I generally forgot about this man
(Kemba)
Jaylen Brown next video Sporting Logically 🙏🙏🙏
Call me an idiot, but I want to see him return to the Knicks next season. This season wasn’t his fault, his shooting percentages stayed the same, but he was playing less minutes and he wasn’t taking anywhere near the number of shots he normally takes, because of Randle’s ball dominance. If he takes this off-season to work on himself and his health, I think he’ll come back a lot stronger and better next season
Dude just went 92 and 6 on 14 3's
Kemba is a score ONLY guard. He doesn't make anyone around him better
come to australia we need him!!!
Damn it's sad really. Traded to pistons then a contract buyout.
I think Jordan not giving kemba the max is one of the smartest moves he made as a owner.
100%
He just recently dropped 44 💯
Kemba walker should train with CP3
PEDs
Before that you said 2013 was the weirdest
why are we surprised the hornets can't draft with MJ running things?
Cp3 was always different. he plays like a floor manager.
He was my favorite player coming out of college for most of my childhood. It’s too bad he couldn’t get over the hump and become great.
What’s with these players going back to their home town teams and having bad seasons , first Westbrook and now Kemba
He needs to look at what Drose did, and realize and accept that at this stage of his career he's better suited to come off the bench and play a limited amount of minutes
Kemba is weak, the opposite dame, weak backbone, and not because he left, jus how hes been chasing success
He must need to play into a team who can boost his talent.
