Dear Billy, DO MORE OF THESE VIDEOS!!This is probably one of the best you've made by far in my opinion. Also adding in a little bit of story about little billy back in the day really piqued my interest in what history you had with these games!Anyways, I'll be anticipating your next video and hopefully you make more of these in the near future!
Glad to see Chip 'n Dale get some love. Everyone gushes over DuckTales (which does rule) but I love me Rescue Rangers, too. Hope we see more of these lists.
John Riggs: RIGG'd Games Thank you very much I totally agree. Ducktales is good but I enjoyed Rescue Rangers more, single or two player. It needs more love and recognition.
First of all, you're a noob John, also this games are good for Nes, Darkwing duck, Batman, Kirby, Like every Megaman game. I don't own many games like you do. You could give me a tip on a nice Nes game, i really like the kind of games wich i described above. And please, no expensive stuff, i live in Holland.
im pretty new into collecting. I was born in 93 so didn't grow up with NES but always looking for great games and this video helped for sure. can't wait to see part 2.
Top nes games 20. Breath of the wild 19.lego Batman 18.clash Royale 17.spider solitaire 16.drugs 15.guitar hero 2 14.joey from friends 13.sudoku 12.pokemon sun/moon 11.pokemon ultra sun/ultra moon
Ouf! Welcome to Nostalgia Lane! The first two games I got with my NES were Super Mario Bros. and Batman, so they have such a reserved and special place in my heart. I never though someone would remember Chip & Dale; I think it was the first co-op two-player game I played with my little sister and I just love it. Other two very good games were The Flinstones and Tiny Toons; I wish I could play them on the Virtual Console.
Shut up! You're driving up the prices as i watch this video! In all seriousness, great list. Every time i see one of these, brings back a lot of great memories.
Such a fun list, the way you talk about these games without actually talking too much about them still somehow makes one want to check them out, haha))
20.) Power Blade - I'm so happy you brought attention to Power Blade. i think this game gets highly ignored and its by far one of my favourite action platformers on the nes with a great sense of transitional difficult and just an overall fun experience with a ton of powerups. This is a game that I have completed and retired. 19.) Chip'n Dale Rescue Rangers - A perfect example example of that winning formula between capcom and Disney. i have played this game a lot but i still need to get around to beating it. Another great example of action platforming goodness on the nes. 18.) A Legend of Zelda - I don't have a lot of fondness for this game and I haven't really played it enough for it to have any huge impact on my life. I do want to sit down and beat this game and the second quest, so hopefully one of those days I can finally get this game beaten and completed. 17.) Battletoads - Just a game that I have played many times and I still can't get past the speeder bike level. I just need to sit down and devote myself to actually beat this game once and for all. 16.) DuckTales - Another winning combination from Capcom and Disney. This is a game that I have completed and retired and its just a wonderful timeless classic for the nes. 15.) Star Wars - I actually enjoy this game despite this game being incredibly difficult. I use to rent this game all the time from the local video rental store and I managed to get really far in this game, but to this day I still can't beat it. I'll have to change that one of those days. 14.) Batman - Just a wonderful game in every sense of the word. I've only played it a few times, but I still need to beat it myself. 13.) Super Mario Bros. - The first nes game that I ever played and the first nes game that I ever beat. I felt so proud of myself when I beat this for the first time. 12.) Metal Storm - A game that I never had the opportunity to play but I do eventually want to play it. 11.) Super C - I remember my aunt use to own this game and i played it quite extensively and even though I have gotten pretty far in this game, I still never had a chance to beat it myself.
I didn't have a NES, first Nintendo system I ever played was a Game Boy, Duck Tales, and Super Mario Land 2 where the only games I had for it, really enjoyed them.
O.O SENPAI NOTICED ME Lol, thank you again Billy, you guys always bring a smile to me when I'm having a rough time. :) I commented on it at the time, but that episode under the bridge really hit me deep and gave me a whole new perspective on Dodongo as a person. It was also kind of a kick to the gut to be grateful for what I've had throughout my life as I've watched my own brother go through similar situations. I actually recently rewatched the whole series and had just as much fun the second time around. Can't wait till I can actually buy your guys' merch, your content has been pretty much top notch since the start! Sure the production has improved over the years, but the heart and the editing has always been there, as evident with the first episode. :) I hope to run into you two (and whoever else joins) at a con some time. :D I've never gone to a con before, but I've always wanted to. Anyway, I'm gonna stop before this ramble goes on any longer, peace. ..V,
I would have to put (not in order) zelda, metroid, little nemo, section z, tiger heli, gauntlet, skate or die, contra, double dragon, super mario 3, the Adams family, master blaster, mega man 2, castlevania, ghosts and goblins, equinox, bayou billie, captain skyhawk, chip n dales rescue rangers and iron sword 2 are maybe my top 20. I like your taste in gaming Billie. You guys are awesome. It's so great watching your channel knowing there are guys in the same age group as me having nostalgic feels over some great games. Btw I call AAA (triple A games) TNT's (top notch titles) you can use that acronym as long as you say I Brawnydave coined it. Haha fart 💩 sound. Seriously though.
Thanks for the upload Billy, loved it! I agree with some of these titles like most, but overall its a stellar list and I liked how nostalgia was a factor rather than what magazines and reviewers say. I definitely agree with Super C especially. Contra i played first but Super C is a great example of a sequel done right. Cant wait for part 2 of this video. Titles I hope to see are: METROID MEGA MAN 2 NINJA GAIDEN 1 and/or 2 BLASTER MASTER FESTERS QUEST GRADIUS PUNCH OUT CASTLEVANIA any TURTLES SUPER DODGE BALL NARC POW MONSTER PARTY in no particular order lol.
Scrolling in Super Mario Bros. was innovative at the time. Oddly enough, vertical scrolling and the way you could go both left and right in SMB 2 was too. Then, when we thought we finally hit the limits of what scrolling on the NES could achieve, SMB 3 had flying with the screen scrolling both horizontally and vertically at the same time. It was actually a technical feat back in the day, and things like the hills in 1-2 of SMB3 were also impressive because up until that point the levels were all blocky. It seems like all of that is taken for granted now, but at the time it was impressive.
Very interesting video and what a blast to see you solo Billy. Love you guys to death but this was just more personal and coming from the heart. Can't wait to watch part 2. Here's my top 20-1 based on nostalgia and overall importance in my gaming life. 20 : Baseball Stars 19 : Blades of Steel 18 : Dragon Warrior 17 : Super Mario Bros. 2 16: Contra 15 : Ducktales 14 : Friday the 13th (yes I LOVE IT that much) 13 : Zelda II : The Adventures of Link 12: Blaster Master 11 : Crystalis Will post the rest when part 2 comes up.
I haven't got that many favourite NES games (Due to not owning an NES back in the day), but I've always been very fond of Batman, Little Nemo, Mega Man 2 Gun.Smoke and Kickle Cubicle. Batman being my all time favourite on the console.
9:11 I used mostly punches on enemies to get through Batman. The rare exceptions were flying enemies and enemies I couldn't approach without major harm.

I was waiting on my little cousin at the bus stop. Had my 3DS and was playing some SMB. Metalstorm, I have it just didn't play it much...I blame that on the SNES Metal Warriors, has the same feel just upgraded/updated. You probably have that game too, try it.

This video finally confirmed that Billy does, in fact, love bouncing on the pole.
Y'all need episodes on Amazon prime like avgn, you guys deserve that level of exposure and the show quilty has always been on the level
Mick Brumley just watched earthbound episode.. it was great
I agree, the quilty has always been there. Package that shit up!
Awesome video! Would love to see this series expand out to all retro systems, even the N64 ;)
I appreciate how fair and understanding you are to Zelda despite not playing it as a kid.
I love seeing the footage of innocent Chris, shortly before he discovered motorbikes, guns, and Tuaca.
goodwi11 guns are immoral, stop glorifying them.
#18 pissed me off. It should be at least # 16.
Yeah but did you jizz
Joe is the sack, David White is the jizz. We need more jizz.
LOL :)
Stupid Game Sackers
True. I have nostalgia for Zelda myself. I used to rent it and play it at other friends house's, but I did not own it
Love you guys! This sort of content is a really nice addition to your output. Keep it up!

Maybe looking to see some not so common games in your follow-up vid. But all solid games. Keep up the great work Billy.
Great list! Please keep making content, love the channel!

Nice video ☺️ The games can also be played wonderfully on the RG351 devices. I made a couple of videos about it. Greetings 👍👋
It would've been sweet if we got a port of the arcade battletoads. It's a violent bloody kick ass brawler.
Come home with cheese burgers. Opens RUclips. See this. Dies.
Can we have a definitive top 20 SNES list video please!
Billy shops for groceries at retrocons to just do this intro

I beat Zelda my first time as a 7 year old and it was amazing.
Zelda is one of those games where, if you were never into it, you almost feel guilty for never having played it.
I've never played a Zelda game.
I played as Link a couple times in Mario Kart 8.
Are these on the eShop?
I wish lol
Fintan why the fuck would you want to play Nintendo games on your phone?
Most of them are on the 3DS and Wii U eShop.
