    I just got quoted $1,000 out the door for an install in my 2018 AWD SE. Journeys off road authorized dealer here In California. parts and labor to install with alignment. About a day and a half turnaround time. Get it done , you’re already thinking about it 😉

    So did they drop the transmission a bit and the rear differential to deal with the CV joint problems created by lifting the vehicle? If not, how did they deal with this issue?

    • @jonathanfreedom1st
      @jonathanfreedom1st 3 года назад

      Nope. Not any parts provided to address that if that poses a problem. There is very subtle drive line vibration probably due to the angle and pitch of the cv halfshafts or something. At least in mine. Not significant enough to sound an alarm. Im actually pretty picky about that stuff too. What do you know about this problem if i might ask? Just incase I may need to know

    Minivans are one of the most versatile vehicles you can buy. Just people can't get by the soccer mom stigma so they by less versatile fake SUVs called crossovers.

    If you think about it, the drop/spacer kit for the rear diff is genius. A lot of vehicles that get a/m lift kits have issues with the diff & transmission b/c of the new angle of the axle (to much stress) With the rear diff spacer kit the axles are still straight vs at an angle.

      @jonathanfreedom1st 3 года назад +1

      Average about 1100 bucks for install. Nationwide. And thats only if you find a place that will do it. Alot of places will not. You have to basically call places that specialize in offroad and 4x4. Im not sure exactly about dealers or their prices.

    • @jonathanfreedom1st
      @jonathanfreedom1st 3 года назад

      @@toyotabrony I think that is on the low side
      Its about 12 hours labor. No lie. The whole rear axle gear box has to be disconnected, and a extender applied to drop it down lower, axle bar extended lower, as well as exhaust pipe, brake hoses, shocks extenders, and coil spring spacers.

    • @jonathanfreedom1st
      @jonathanfreedom1st 3 года назад +3

      Since the content uploader wont answer you question. I believe about 10ish inches. A decent lift opposed to the 6 inch factory clearance it had....I havent measured mine yet. But not a dramatic or tacky lift. Subtle lift especially if you leave the original Tires. Which i will not.

    • @jonathanfreedom1st
      @jonathanfreedom1st 3 года назад +2

      No the springs remained, all you do is apply lift spacers to front strut and coil and lift spacers to real coil. As well as many other parts to extend down the rear axle and bar...shock extenders, exhaust cut and mod, longer brake hoses etc

  • @jonathanfreedom1st
    @jonathanfreedom1st 3 года назад +2

    This is not the first ever lifted Toyota Sienna, I lifted my 2011 XLE AWD Sienna, 3 1/2 inches as well. But beware, its not super significant but like some other lifted vehicles from 0 to say about 25 with accelerator punched hammer down, it will deliver drive line vibration, and also in install process, the Swaybar links provided by Journey's offroad, will seem as though the wrong swaybar links, they are smaller in length to the original ones and are required to install pointing the bolt stud toward the tire. Opposite of the original ones also the bolt diameter will appear slightly smaller than original so they just need to be torqued down tight. Keep in mind you can also upsize the tires after this custom lift, to 255/55/R18.
    Before the install it bottomed out everywhere. Terrible impractical Low. They need at least 2 additional inches to make sence to me. But obviously based on my Google profile pic, im a 4x4 lover.

    Now this is the best thing to do. A lift kit spacers for 2000-2010 Toyota Sienna, and 2011-2019/2020 Toyota Sienna is awesome. I heard for the FWD is $710 and for AWD the lift kit spacers are $740. We got 07’ and 18’ siennas. And I’m gonna try to convince my mother to get herself some nice lift kit spacers. With AWD it’s even better. A little bit of rigged minivan if you will. 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

      @@toyotaofbend I have a 2016 FWD Sienna. My car is about 50,000 miles and is in excellent condition. Fitted this lift kit, changed wheel tires and cost a lot of money. However, my steering wheel wobbled so much that I couldn't shake it even though I took a lot of money to do the 2nd wheel balance for the 2nd alignment. I've been calling Journeys Offroad, but it's safe for 10 out of 100 to do this. They also say something that can be done if the mission is bad. That is not at all. I think I should sell the experiment. The kit is 700$ and the installation cost is also 300$ or more. I've spent over $2,000 now and have to pull the kit off again. For months I lived in pain and hell.
