This was one of the top 5 best picks for me. I really enjoyed seeing all of the collectables. You could have possibly done a part 2. His dad kept everything up and must of appreciated all of his stuff.

Now THAT is an organized hoard. I am so glad you and this chap found each other, because your willingness to buy from his and his to sell to you, seem almost perfectly matched!
Alex, What I like about you is that you're fair. Most people would take advantage of someone selling something so cheap & you're like I wouldn't feel right buying it so cheap. You have to face yourself in the mirror each day. You're an awesome guy. Great video. 😊
The guy knew what he had. He wanted it to go. I go to garage sales around here and folks asking 90% of retail. They don’t want to sell. When I have a garage/yard sale, I price it to leave. There is literally no point in paying more for something than the seller is asking.
@@forthwithtx5852depends on whether or not the seller knows what he has. My honor is worth more than ripping off someone who inherits something and doesn’t know it’s worth. Too much of that going on in our country - USA.
The portion of a tire mounted under the grindstone was to hold water to keep the stone wet when grinding. Also, very common to have a water drip cup mounted above the stone to keep it wet during use.
Those have to be the cleanest, organized barns I’ve ever seen That gentleman sure takes care of the property . You wouldn’t realize that farm is 100 years old . Fascinating !! Alex is in oil can utopia .😍😍
His barns seemed really in good shape and well maintained . He had some interesting things . Loved the lanterns and sewing machine .Glad he had things you liked Keep Safe ❤Keep Well❤
Beautiful farm! The building were so clean and everything seemed organized. I could have spent hours looking at everything and I think he had everything too! Thanks for taking us along on a country drive!
Smiling all the way through this episode. So good. Please go back. I hope this gracious man is going to run a museum or park for us all to visit. Wonderful.
Cleanest barns I've ever seen! They look more like movie sets, definitely being used but looking like they were just set up. Very cool and thank you for sharing this! I'll sat it again, you are like a less annoying American Pickers! ❤❤❤😂
Alex, what a wonderful pick. You could tell how he was so proud of his dad I would have loved to seen those old sacks. You can’t fine those that often. I hope you get to revisit this kind man and his amazing barns. I want to come next time.
What a character! My great grandfather had a general store and slate sign shop among other things and it was still intact back in the 50s. Then my grandparents renovated it into a big living room and moved back into it when he retired as a conductor Canadian Railway. One thing I noticed was a roll top desk early on that reminded me of the one my aunt left for me. Unfortunately my mother sold it. I’m feeling quite nostalgic.
What a great property! So much to see. Well organized, neat & tidy. Such a pleasure to visit with you 🦋 you must of been overwhelmed by it all! Thanks for sharing
So organized and clean. I chuckled when you said, "I guess I gotta make a pile in this building too." You were only in the 2nd one, lol. Love the milkshake maker.
This was a great video! My grandfather was a farmer and his property and buildings were just as immaculate as these. He also knew where everything was too! WOW!!! 🥰🥰🥰
That was like walking into the best candy store EVER!!!! What an awesome place. I hope your going back for more. Take a group of friends with you. Josh would definitely have enjoyed that farm. All that metal. That guy gets an A+ for how neat and clean everything was. The upkeep was the best I've ever seen on a farm. No wonder he needed to put another notch in his belt. Mind blowing adventure. Thank you.
Hi Alexander, what a clean and tidy row of barns all the stuff was fabulous, everything put away I would have loved to look round . Thankyou for sharing this with us it was great 😀
I really enjoyed poking around with you guys in those barns, I wish I could do stuff like that. His property is just beautiful, his buildings are so clean and the items were really taken care of.
I was raised on a farm, and loved this video. It brought back fun memories. Thank you for showing all the fun stuff. Take care. Country girl from Ohio. Faye
Love the old barns & you found so much great stuff! My uncle & his daughters are 5th & 6th generations farming the homestead in Eastern Ontario. This reminds me of visiting when my grandpa was on the farm. Essex, ON
Wow, what Beautiful scenery I love the yellow flowers in the field so pretty Before you even start picking stuff I’m buying I have to say defined as an incredible condition so clean and neat looking. I remember my dad having five sheds on the property and a refrigerated truck body and it was such stacked up with everything you couldn’t move in there or find anything there a mess and I grew up on the property. I didn’t realize things were so packed in.😂😂❤❤❤❤
I like that you’re having a good time with him talking about the good days past people don’t realize what they have and how good they had it back then when they had nothing but communities came together and family stayed together for the most part to help each other out so they made it through it. Sad the children of today don’t wanna hear the stories of their past parents grandparents. Great grandparents, they want to look on their laptops be on social media see how many people like them and it’s just sad because who else is going to carry on the message to other generations, it they will sit on the laptops at social media see how many lights they can get, and it’s just sad again he’s going to carry on the the knowledge of the struggles that they went through in the hardships and love and caring they gave each other and pull their family in their neighbors, their communities or town out of poverty and grew to the older people where if you look at today, younger people are dying younger
AMAZING, cool guy and super cool treasures. Beautiful property. Thank you Alex for taking me along and I am a girl not interested in any of that BUT I have learned a lot from watching your videos and find all these treasures interesting 😮
Dude is OCD and we tend to be very neat and tidy even in our junk drawers but I’m laughing as he is SERIOUSLY trying to explain to Alex that he does mind him going through and pulling things out that ALL are in their place already and if Alex decides not to purchase everything he pulls out then it has to all be put back in it’s exact same place the same exact way it was before being pulled out! I immediately noticed the bucket under the table that caught Alex’s eye and he pulls out a couple small cans to pull the bucket out but then not interested he just slid it back but not right back where he found it and 😂 being OCD myself I 😮but then he turned around and the guy didn’t notice it. ❤✊🏻 to you always Alex! Thank you for another wonderful antique museum rummage day 🤘🏻
Interesting pick! So neat the different 'barns' .... didn't feel too dusty! Curious as to what vehicle you drove out there and transported the goodies back in ... didn't recognize it from interior.
Talk about a walk down memory lane!!! The last time I saw a milkshake machine like that was in a "50's" type diner in DV....Awesome pick for you....Best always...from BC
Wow, you’re coming out of there with a lot of nice treasures and I love that car. Oh my goodness very beautiful and it still runs. That’s the nice thing about it. Lotta good old memories and bonds like that.❤❤❤
So much cool stuff! I loved that wood cook stove. I watch a sewing channel where the sewist actually buys old sewing machines, restores them, and uses them on her channel.
Some of it not my thing but my husband would love it all. All the lanterns, the unicorn, all the old candy tins, old record players, old coffee tins, spice tins, liters, ax, old car. Love it all
I had a grinder wheel with a hand hewned stand with tire to wet the stone. It longed to my maternal great grandfather. I gave it to my son-in-law who likes to work with wood. 💙
Yes that most likely was a farm bell, Eaton's sold them, I was pricing them from an 1918 catalog recently for a project, (no I don't recall the prices) That tire under the grindstone wasn't a guard, it was for holding water to keep the stone wet and flush away any bits of stone and metal that wore down so it didn't clog up and glaze the stone. That was sure a neat pick! both literally and figuratively!
Love the old jerry(geri)cans. I have a couple from my Dad circa late 40's. The new gas cans are cruddy and the "environmentally safe" nozzles etc. are so bad...... I would be in hog heaven searching that place and talking with the man...... that wagon wheel is worth some bucks. The cook stove!!!!!

I was wondering the same thing. And also how often he had to move everything to the dust, cobwebs, and general usual grime that always accumulates...
Some very interesting finds! The farm seemed to be well kept; it was nice to see a well taken care of place.
