- This is my imagined Game Over screen for that titan concept I came up with about a week ago. I like to think this "finale" sorta moment is when Kris and the player would finally put aside their differences and fight the "real enemy". Been thinking about actually making this a fan game at some point.
Btw the Snowgrave animation's going well. Script's finished, a majority of the sprites are done, and I've got about five minutes of animation done rn. Expect it finished either by the middle or end of September. Can't really tell since college will probably slow me down.

you have no idea how much joy this gives me, being able to talk to kris and be able to understand each others goals, and tell them that we're sorry for... pretty much everything. god, i wish something like this is set up in canon, even slightly so i can know that kris is alright despite me puppeteering them.

i like this idea alot more then the idea of the player being a bad person
it being a misunderstanding between you and kris just seems so great of an idea, and having you work together to beat the titans just seems amazing
I say the relation between the player and kris should be based on the route. In snowgrave You the player are in the wrong,obviously,but on a neutral/normal route,it's obvious nothing that bad is happening yet
Yeah! Where you and Kris put aside differences and focus on doing the good thing, saving friends and family, town included. Stopping the true evil beings before all is lost.

It depends on route but outside of specific routes kris still wants control of there body and they’re tied to us.
I see the player as neutral than anything. After all, we are the player so it's up to us on how we act, and how we make Kris act.

I’m imagining that’s more the alternate route like Snowgrave. Where things are more dark and serious.

I’d imagine that like Spamton, you’d get a new ability after this.
By pressing enter, you could set a save point, then, pressing backspace, you’d warp back to this point.

I personally think it would be kinda funny if we've been misunderstanding all along who's in control, and Kris didn't hate us as much as people think.
This is some real potential character development between Kris and "The Player", it almost beautiful. I'd Hate to imagine what Kris would say to you after a full Weird Route gameplay thou.
He probably would want the player dead at all cost for ruining everything.

I want this to happen so bad. I know I’m controlling kris, and it breaks my heart i can’t communicate with them. They must be so damn terrified being controlled. But I want them to be happy. They were bullied, they lost their friends, their brother, their whole family is in shambles. I want to fix their life. I want us to be friends. Because they deserve a happy ending.
And then there are the players who don't give a damn and just kill everything... That's sad..

If something like this happens at all, it is 100% happening after a scripted/forced death at the end of chapter 5 or 6, and for chapter 6/7 you and kris both share control of their body and work in unison to defeat the Titans (or whatever ch.7's endgame is)
Yeah this does seem like a forced death scene from a cutscene, likely close to the end by a boss that is going to unleash the titans, or already has.

I imagine in a Weird Route Kris would just remain silent, and you would put yourself back together, and against Kris’ wishes

My biggest thing is, that the ending of Deltarune is already set in stone. So how will the weird route, and the pacifist route, and any other route connect?

Imagine if this actually happened everytime Kris died in the game, except they would always forget telling the soul these words because the reset erases their memories of this truce and Kris would always return to becoming hostile to the soul after they are revived, having no memories of ever reconciliating with it. This would make the relationship between the player and Kris much more dramatic.
This is so sick! Would be such an awesome scene if it ever happened in the actual game

Even after watching this for a second time, it still manages to give me goosebumps. Being accepted by Kris and them calling us "Partner", reminder of how Chara once called us too. Absolutely magnificent.
I wish I could see something like that in the game. I mean I want to hear what Kris really think about us and about everything in general. Just hope that we or they don't end up being the villain
If you did the snowgrave / weird route then I can imagine the dialogue for this being the same until 1:13 where the dialogue would change to “but you and I want different things” before changing again at 1:24 - the ending to maybe something else and then instead of kris re fusing the soul it just suddenly re fuses on its own and the last text possibly being “the future is in….” And then cutting to wherever you last saved
I imagine similar, but instead of you once again forcing yourself into Kris' body, they successfully detach themself from you and start working to right your wrongs. You are forced to spectate, until another vessel presents itself to you- the goner you created back in chapter 1
That’s a really cool way of saying “the future is in your hands”

I love when it says "my friends my family my world" and "our heart our body our soul" because it comes off as three people talking. It felt like it was referencing the three different people that soul has been.
Who is the third? The player themselves? Or the delta Warriors?

I *really* don't want to bring up Frisk/Chara here since obviously Toby's already clarified its a "different setting" and bringing up a character that hasn't even been confirmed kinda sounds stupid.
Instead I'd reference the three being; The Player; The Character; and the third party being the concept of their unison, in a sense? It just makes better sense thematically rather then "ahaha 3rd save gaster!!"

This is badass. Kris finally putting their hatred over their lack of control that they’ve had recently because of the player, and deciding to actually work *together* with the player. The parallel between Chara calling the player “partner” at the end of a Genocide run, and Kris calling the player “partner” here, likely at what is meant to be the final confrontation with the Titans on the path to the best possible outcome, isn’t lost on me, either.
This looks like it could be real and in the game, and if I didn’t know it was fanmade I would of thought it was real! Incredible work!

I also really hope that this happens in the "complete pacifist' route. Toby did say numerous times that there's only one ending, but never said that the last journey will be the same no matter the path you take.
My interpretation would be that this would happen in the best 'route', in which you save everyone. Kris realizes that you've only tried to do your best for this world and that soon after making sure that the world is safe, you will leave. No longer having to force your will on them, not only would Kris have higher stats and be more expressive, but maybe you could allow them to take control again? It would be nice to see the real Fun Gang hang out for a change.
On another note, great job on the music and animation! The clock sounds convey that time is running out and the changes to the notes give it a feel of both acceptance and determination..
Or would it be the Courage to continue, I wonder?

This also gives me major Final fantasy 5 vibes because the heart shards look identical to the crystal shards after the elemental crystals shatter.
The music is very similar as well. I played that game on the Gameboy when i was 10 and to see a possible reference would be crazy tbh.
I look forward to whatever you create. I love fan projects so much. To see the lights that have been ignited by a game i love burn just as brightly as the creation that inspired them is such a warm and beautiful thing i will always appreciate.

Dude I love this sm, I really hope in the next chapters, kris removes their (our) soul again and we gather enough determination and strength to talk to them. It would make sense that our determination grows each chapter because our LV increases by 1 each chapter no matter what you do, pacifist or not.

Maybe it could be like the pacifist ending.
You fight the overwhelmingly powerful titans, and you inevitably die. But, instead of dying, kris realizes just how important you were to the world, and how you both want the same thing. Thanks to this, kris finishes their character arc and finally accepts you as the SOUL, fusing to form a being capable of changing fate.
Thanks to this, you return to the titan battle, now with the power to actually stop the titans and the roaring. The final battle starts for real.
"Damn it, another game over? When will I finally get past this level?!"
