  • Romy felt like it was distance that was holding her back in her game. A lot of us don't realise how low we can drop during the change of direction to the "pop" up using the ground! For more info/to book onto our turkey coaching trip, email: zen@golftravelhub.co.uk
    As always, a huge thanks to Steve and Romy for letting us share their lesson experience with you guys!

    This stuff works great. I FINALLY can feel what its like to be on my lead side at impact and using the release pattern with the hands (toe down divot drill) and trusting swinging out to the right has made a HUGE difference. Yesterday, I played a round for the first time in a month (been on the range A LOT). Normal PW for me was 115 yards. Yesterday I was hitting my PW 130 yards and it felt like I was going at about 75%...my 54 degree I could MAYBE hit 90 yards...now 105 and feels like I hardly swing at it...frankly its amazing and I never thought this stuff would work. I am 61 and hitting my short irons further than I ever had. Longs irons are a work in progress and the Driver is coming around nicely as well. Thanks Marcus!

      @@YoYoZamolo that used to happen to me what has helped me is by separating speed sessions and range sessions. I have a mevo plus, and i wll swing in my backyard without a ball and only worry about swing speed. when i go to the range i don't take my mevo and only focus on striking. I will take the mevo with me to the range sometimes when i feel like my path is getting wacky. but the only data i will focus on is swing path. when i do that i wont even focus on ball striking.
      I have noticed that by focusing on one single thing i end up improving more then trying to swing fast, with good path, and good ball striking.

      @phreak761 4 месяца назад

      @@AS-ww3feDamn right, none of the old pros had launch monitors or any of that shit!
      The proof is in the result, you hit the ball bad and it will fly bad, you improve by seeing the ball fight improve.
      Sometimes it's hard to realise what you're doing wrong but that's what coaches like Marcus are for!

    She really struggles with moving everything together. The club and body move in the same direction. It was difficult for her to separate them both. This is why golf is so difficult. When we embed our feels, it's so difficult to change them. It's like going from walking normally to someone telling you that you are walking incorrectly and that you need to shuffle step every stride we take. A few lessons on the range herself to get her new feelings and she will be on the horse. Good lesson.

    This is an absolutely brilliant and very complete video.
    ONE QUESTION. The weight at club transition point is clearly over the left leg. In the next step of shaft pull down to "lag" position (drop down with club shaft horizontal), does the weight transfer to the right foot first, before then shifting to the left for the launch up from that left foot? Im a bit confused about what happens in this "interim" action.
    Hope you understand my explanation and can clarify

    Are the exercises for feeling? Or does each exercise have a different purpose in the chain?

    • @GRFGolf
      @GRFGolf  Год назад

      The exercises are always for a specific purpose - but we try and offer more movement or instability/mobility than what we would otherwise be accessing to give us an experience of what it feels like. So in answer to your question - it's both!
