Let's go! Great great great drill!
Love the drill. Very athletic move.
@@ILB Thanks so much!
@@brianshulman7259 Agreed Brian! Appreciate you watching and commenting!
Another awesome video!
I gained 6mph with the drill, from 98 to 104mph. I want more!
I would love to win one of the free lessons, and even more to get a swing analysis with the software that you use! :-)
GREAT video guys! Unreal value and am so proud to learn from you guys and call you friends!
I TOTALLY feel the Speed Booster as well- WOW This is nuts. I appreciate the sneak peek of the drill by the way- I put it to work yesterday and it's crazy how good it feels. I don't know/can't track how many MPHs I've gained, but let's just say it was an OBVIOUS improvement! Thanks guys!
Thanks so much brotha! So glad you liked it! Keep working! 💪
The lame skill unequivocally unpack because family muhly blot aboard a chilly cup. axiomatic, glistening glorious sound
We love what u do but talking for a while about making us go elsewhere is click bait and diminishes interest. If you can’t put it here then we start looking elsewhere.
Not saying you should not have fee service but don’t turn this topic into go to another free thing which will then say you need to buy something else to get the whole lesson.
That strategy takes great you tube instructions and makes it appear like more internet click bait junk.
Which again is a shame because you 2 are epic.
Really cool video. I’ve watched your channel for several years and have worked to incorporate the drills. I really love the Pro v Am comparisons as they really help me focus on the right “feels” that make a difference in my swing. Keep doing what you guys do!
This 73 year old, currently locked down in the UK, can't wait to get moving with this drill. The back garden will be my driving range for the next few weeks, no balls but plenty of swings, then watch out guys, the money will be mine! Great work. My AMG membership is worth every penny, sorry, dollar.
Love it! I'm betting there's still lot of speed left in those bones! Can't wait to hear how you get on.
This sounds realistic, coherent and effective! I will try out tomorrow on the range. Thence guys 👍🏼
Awesome. Really eye opening. I’m so scared of swaying that I’ve become a robot. This feels completely different and freeing!!!!
...I'm guilty of not bending the front knee much on the way back (same old instruction). No wonder why I early extended stuck on my back foot, super tilted, divot starting at or behind the ball for years...or the skulliosis..lol. Thanks guys.
I went from a 122,4 mph personal record swing speed to a new 128,6 mph personal record swing speed!!!
Loved the drill. Cranked up my speed for sure. So much so that my driver head snapped off! 💪🏼
Zepp golf sensor said I picked up 6 mph of speed after doing the drill for about 15 mins. Noticed my left foot would come up when rocking back and planting right foot back down.
Nice work boys. Very well done video
Thanks!!! Were you able to try the drill?? Would love to hear your results!
So how does the Pro get the hands moving fast so quickly compared to the amateur? Active pull down of the left arm plus extension of right arm?
The drill is legit. Speed started at ~95, did the drill, got to 101-103. Did the drill a couple more times, and got up to 113-114 mph. Wow!
Love it!
I went from 113 to 130mph in minutes! Wow! 347.8 carry.
I think that my biggest problem with my golf swing is sequencing. I can’t coordinate my downswing with my hip shift/rotation with my lag and finally getting my club head to hit the ball squarely. I can do all of that but I’m not in sync with all of the motions that will create a fluid golf swing.
Wow- This is the “Trifecta” /It is simple/ it takes thinking out of the equation and replacing it with doing / and it works.
Thanks again Mike and Shaun for sharing the “The Speed Secret”, and helping me pick up much needed speed and distance 👍.
Awesome! We love the 3rd part of that trifecta.
I’ve gotten up to 130s club head speed with driver.. trying to get to 140s
After doing the drills I finally hit out 13th hole for one with my driver.
I just need to trust the drill.and commit more.
Thanks boys
Extremely useful info - the gears stuff really helps me understand just where my body should be and quickly identify where it has been but shouldn’t be.
I doubt another 100 people are gonna be through on here anytime soon. Oh well even though I won't win, here it is. My results are better then I expected and never thought much would come of this drill as it seems like others. maybe I wasn't doing it right then but now it really helped me to marry that load up very well with my rotation and I kept in mind the little nugget about having the left arm leave early whipping the club through I feel like the exaggerated explosivness which isn't really all that exaggerated lol just felt right and smooth helped me get in tune with how I need to be whipping the club through
... wow..that itty bit of body sway with letting the left knee "double" really helps alleviate the takeaway from getting behind you and/or manually having to push it out there.
God I WISH u GUYS would do something on HOGAN!!!
These videos could be de in half the time if you eliminate the redundant large man , repeating everything the pro says and does ! Painfully slow to watch .
I went outside to try this drill and i felt a definite speed increase. I'm wondering how it will translate to the course. Do you have any advice that will meld this advice into compressing my iron shots?
I tried this at the range and while I didn't use a launch monitor to compare numbers, I had a definite distance gain of 15-20m.
Tried this drill and added 10-15 mph right away!
wow!
I needed this channel to dispel all the nonsense ive read in golf magazines my whole life. Then i needed to watch larry rinker promoting an armsy swing and then came back to start dialing stuff in!
this is the only swing advice thats worth anything on youtube data is everything. everything else is just the same as on course advice from your buddy
Great vid guys .... really opening many’s eyes for the visualisations needed for a pro swing 🤙🏽
Heading to the range tomorrow to try the instant speed drill, will report back. Thanks
GREAT Video guys.... gained 3 mph.. From 88 to 91... I'll keep working on it.
Love it!! Keep it going!
Shaun & Mike - Thank you both , the 1.25 inch bump into the right side has worked wonders for me. I was working on staying centered with my swing with no movement to the right ,obviously with very poor results. I’m longer and much straighter with this move. Thanks Again.
Makes more sense that a dumb Ben Hogan speed killer video I watched.
I know this is a few years old now but I saw a video recently where McIlroy was saying he was actually going toward the target rather than away from it
The faster you swing your arms down the faster you have to turn? Hit a few pushes when I swing down with the arms.
With L arm and hand medical issue, I still gained 5 MPH. Thanks
Gave to my 14 year old son. Instant speed! Thanks guys!
I create 3800 rpm with an +1.5 AOA , because my dynamic loft is too high. I'm scoopoing - any idea to solve it?
You’ll want to look much earlier in the swing to see what you’re doing to cause you to add the loft. It can be a number of things, it would be a straight up guess without seeing your swing.
I like this drill. I used to do something similar when I first started swinging the driver. I was a baseball player and it seemed natural. Many videos later on youtube and my swing got completely different and now I'm trying to get back to my natural athletic tendencies.
That will never fail you :)
In this video you say there is a pro vs Joe on the student that showed a lot of improvement. I can not find that pro vs Joe. Can you help as would love to see it
Thanks for the tips, losing speed on the driver has stolen a lot of joy from my rounds
Guys this is so great !! Favorite was move the hands fast to start down !! Can’t wait for a whole week of vids from ya !! Keep bringing the 🔥! And fingers crossed on those lessons ... great work ! I never miss a video n always have a takeaway
Love it! Let us know how much speed you gain so we can add you to the total speed tally for the week!!
Hope this works! As soon as it stops snowing I'll be trying it out.
Feel the dynamic shift- recentering while going back. Looking forward to getting on the range and hitting some bombs.
Awesome! Let us know how much speed you gain so we can add you to our total speed gained tally!!
Hi guys, could you do one on how different body’s will have different setups? I have a long body with short legs and T-Rex 🦖 arms. I watched your vids about hips and where they sit in swing but it’s just not possible for me to have my hips where is “ideal” (hip sit behind heals but knees line up over balls of feet) so would love your thoughts on how different setups can be yet have swing work “similar”?
Best bet is just not squat back at address and take it from there :)
Great drill, love the sensation of a free flowing faster swing through the ball. Definitely more dynamic than I was previously, which now feels kind of robotic in comparison. Love the channel and all your explanations , those Gears clips are priceless.
Awesome!! Any ideas how many mph you gained? We would love to add your sped to our total speed gained tally!
Great drill. I was finally able to, in the moment, differentiate added speed by using relaxed "light" muscles instead of tense rigid muscles. A real eye opener. Thanks Guys.
THat concept can really help!
Well done Shaun and Mike!
Over the winter, I'll be working with SpeedSticks and a device for measuring club head speed and hope to integrate your advice.
I'll be sure to report my progress to you.
Sounds great Peter! We look forward to hearing your progress!
Tried it in my garage, great swing feeling and could feel the speed increase. Lots of fantastic swing video guys, just started watching and love technical aspects of pros vs Joe’s, keep up the great work.
Thanks!!! Glad you enjoyed it
Good to see, but hard to implement aside from the first one.
Awesome production value. Fantastic content.
How do I get my pelvis in front of that line without falling over or bending too much at the knees? That’s the mystery that I can’t figure out
Hmm. Could be the lead leg not straightening enough...Have you filmed your swing to see whats going on?
Wait. Wait wait. The left arm moves first in the downswing? That goes against everything and everybody whose ever taught.
Huh? We say here, ruclips.net/video/39jm6Q5cRNg/видео.htmlsi=y_DRNrG1VKfw2Vpq&t=470, exactly what the dynamic start to the downswing is, and it's not the left arm.
68 and rebuilding my swing. All your info has bought me back to the basics, and rotation impact and the recentering a feeling I lost a long time ago have improved. Speed is up and snapped shaft on driver near the grip when using the drill, braking the club at the left leg. Progress has been great.
Hey Kevin! How much speed did you gain? We would love to add you to our speed tally!
Wow! Awesome, effective drill! Thanks Shaun and Mike for the work that you do for ordinary golfers like me. Stay safe!
Thanks so much!!! Let us know if you get some distance gains! We love to hear you guys having success
Great stuff , you’d think the more info you get the more complicated your swing thoughts would get , but this info simplifies the swing .
Well said!
I tried this and it worked extremely well. The problem is I have problem control the clubface at impact. 10 to 30 yard draw
Keep working at it!! You'll get the timing and the face control will actually improve!
Enjoyed the video. I believe the xfactor was created due to an optical illusion. Most pros still
look like they are significantly increasing the stretch but they are actually recentering while still rotating backward.
100 percent
The swing speed drill worked for me but my email address has been bombarded for months with spam ever since I gave it to you. Did you sell my address for your profit and cause nothing but aggravation for me?
we have never sold emails. whats your email? I'll opt you off the list if you would like.
Love the free flow of my swing now - looking more like Jack Nicklaus instead of Jack and the beanstalk!
hahahhha....Love it
Great Drill! I’m obsessed with your videos and all the real information you provide.
We appreciate that big time BYD!
Thanks for doing this, can't wait to try these tips out to bomb it!💪
awesome
It's almost impossible to keep your butt in line with your heels and looking at some tour sequences from Ernie to Adam to Rory their butt sides behind the line of their heals. I get what you're saying but it just doesn't make sense unless I'm understanding it wrong
I believe you're misunderstanding. I don't think I've ever heard anyone say the butt should be in line with the heels. Lots of different sized butts out there. The goal is to get the center of your pelvis (blue spheres in this video) over your ankles at the start. Your individual anatomy will take care of the rest. We did an entire pros vs ams on this here ruclips.net/video/0IxllCJRKS4/видео.html
Great drill! It supercharges the backswing. It creates a feeling of athletic motion as opposed to just hitting positions in the swing.
Yes!! That's the exact feeling you should look for! Let us know how much speed you gain so we can add you to our total speed gained tally!
@@AthleticMotionGolf over 5mph club head speed.
Love this drill. I like the fluid motion aspect to it. I tried it out and noticed an immediate jump of 6mph with a 7 iron. I'm also planning to integrate this into speed work with speed sticks.
Hey Brandon Congratulations! You won the iLesson from the AMG Speed Booster Giveaway! Send us a screenshot of this to us on our Instagram (@athletic_motion_golf) and we will get you taken care of! 😎
Awesome move , 5mph more with my 6 iron ...... 82 mph to 87mph !
Thanks AMG !
WOWWOWOW
Feels quick - just hope I can control it on the course!
quick, smooth, quick FAR!
In lockdown at the moment, love this drill as it really simplfies the transition. I am a disabled golfer and your content really gives me a great consept of the swing and I can work around it to adept to my body
love it thank you for the comment! Let us know how the dril works once youre out of lockdown
Amazing video as always. Do you think that this is a speed generator or an efficiency synchronizer?
All of the above :)
96 to 101 , finally over 100 thanks
Wow that felt looser... just in the garage for now. I tend to take speed out in an attempt to control the club face, winter goal to commit to fully releasing and accelerating through the ball...
Let er rip!!!!
Love the dynamics it creates when you flow instead of find positions.
Absolutely! Try the drill and come back and let us know how much speed you gain!!
How on earth is the one on the right having his backside level with the back of his ankles? I try it and instantly fall forward because my centre of gravity is ahead of my toes.
You’ve got to by what’s being measured (center of the pelvis) vs what the avatar’s rear end looks like. Everyone has 2% body fat with their avatar, but we know that’s not reality 🤓. Having your center of pelvis over your ankles is what you want to emulate 👍
Is it possible to work on this without a stock golf swing?
Gave me a quicker more powerful swing - hopefully I can replicate on the course
Keep working on it :)
Loved this drill. I'm a senior golfer but watched my clubhead speed on trackman go from 109-112mph using this drill! Very curious about the "butt behind the line" at set up. My butt is clearly behind the line--would love to fix that! Do you have a drill for it?
wow!!!What about the drill helped you get that instant speed boost??? Yes we have wall drill we use for this! I'll find it and circle bac around
@@AthleticMotionGolf I think it was the weight shift and simple freeing up of my swing. I was really surprised! Anxious to get the wall drill!!
Nice Drill, I was able to feel more efficient on my way down
Love it! Efficient is a good thing
Tried the drill. Started at 121mph driver CHS. Stayed at 121mph..
Ok. Possibly not doing it correctly. Would need to see it to know exactly why.
It took my mind off positions and freed my swing up !! Good drill !! Thank you !!
Fantastic Rick! So. glad to hear that!
It appears that you are no longer offering the Speed Booster as the link no longer works. Thank you
Sorry, for some reason on the 4th time it open. Thanks
Moving the butt of the club fast and early so you can release the head of the club reminds me of how you cast a fly fishing rod.
Most of my fly fishing is spent retrieving the flies from the trees, but yes, there are lots of similarities 🤓
Amazing Video!! Okay I have limitations because I have had 4 left wrist surgeries from a bad motorcycle accident. My wrist has very little bend, I have been doing things to increase speed so last week I went from 85 to low 90s just from different drills. After this drill my PRGR read 93 before and after this drill I had 101 twice and my last one was 104!! Crazy my boys yesterday noticed that my drives were further wait till next week!
Hey fellow great video. One question is the magic move the same as shown in this video for your 63 year old man demonstration. It seems to contractdict the Magic Move? I think I'm missing something. Thanks for all you do with this channel as I'm also 63 and working to gain speed, up to 99 mph with help from you fellows.
Very much the same👊
@@AthleticMotionGolf thanks can't wait to work on it. Merry Christmas!
Great videos guys. I think I saw it in your DistanceRx2.0 series I purchased a while back. That series is packed with info and drills to increase your club head speed. The Speed Booster Drill is great because it teaches you how to FEEL and swing dynamically. Opposed to swinging position oriented, athletically challenged, powerless; ie slow. This drill teaches you that to increase club head speed the Rabbit has to win the race not the Turtle!
Great! How much speed do you think you gained with the drill? We would love to add your speed to the total speed gained tally!
When I first tried drill about a month ago I would say my CHS increased around 5 mph with my irons. But I was just getting back into the game after an 8yr sabbatical.
I ducking love you guys
Great drill that added distance after about 10 minutes. 👍👍👍
Wow!! How much distance did you add? We want to add you to our speed tally for the week!
Great drill.
Tried it and it works.
What are the drills to help no. 4? Or at least the breakdown as to why. Thanks - good stuff
I meant no. 3 - that is a huge pick up in MPH.
Gained 5 mph from 120 mph 😀
You guys proved that it doesn't take a treatise to make a very effective point... this drill is the icing on the cake of great videos you produce. OK, so I'm home and felt compelled to try the drill. Opened the garage door, set down a towel on the driveway and teed-up a whiffle golf ball. I instantly felt a great hip turn follow through and the balls were effortlessly escaping the force of gravity. Played yesterday and wish I had viewed this info then; but out again tomorrow and looking ahead at using this as my pre-swing warmup. I'm 72 and driver average is 240. Also did drill with 5 iron just for fun. THIS DRILL CREATES ATHLETIC MOTION WITHOUT THINKING. Thanks for all of your time and effort in what is, to me, the best golf instruction available. Best to you -- and keep up the great work.
I will be implementing this drill this week!!
Let us know your results!
I went to the range with this drill and my first driver speed was 99 mph. I worked with the drill for a bit and saw some nice increases, getting up to 108 mph. I was going to stop there, but I told my wife, "I think I have 109 mph in me." She said "Why don't you skip 109 and go to 110?" I said "OK, " and on my next swing I did 111 mph! Needless to say, I am thrilled with the results! I am 57 years old, +1 HDCP and always trying to improve. I love your tips, great job Mike and Shaun!
Watched this intently! Wow a free lesson with you both is like a cake with frosting with marzipan and icing on it too. Yum! But can you really fix me?!? I'm ready!
Good I love this! This may sound off but it almost gives me a freewheeling Freddie Couples fell. I've compacted the back swing with what feels like almost a Couples "pick up" or Monte's no turn advise, and then just fired down and through. It honestly feels too easy. The forward start, heel plant, really ingrains the feeling. Great work!
The forward initial swing certainly works! I am curious how your system works with the "Moe Norman" single plane swing. I switched over the winter from conventional to single plane and am loving it. However, I would love to speed up my club head speed. My driver is normally around 93 mph. I would love to be over 100.
Yep. It works!!! Did it at the range today before round off the tips. I was hitting the back of the range everything I hit it straight. Then I played... awesome...did it a few times on the tee. Net 73.. gr8 I was in the $$$. Thanks guys
Great Instagram videos. Helping my game tremendously. Love these guys and their approach.
Absolutely worked. Was doing some swings on the driver multiple times stuck at 101. First time using the drill got up to 106 and then the next time 107.
Love the shift breakdown
Thanks!! Were you able to try the drill? We would love to hear your results!
Will try this when the rain stops
