Now I'm curious if the brainwashing part would still work in Tempest under Shuna's barrier, my guess is it works but less, and the main cast won't be affected because too many magicules

@phantom9831 To use an ultimate skill you have to go through an evolution just like Rimuru did, so your unique skill will evolve in ultimate just like masayuki' skill gets evolved, and two people can have same ultimate skill but it will work differently for example, rimuru's Beelzebub and geld's beelzebub both work differently

2. Will and Desire strong enough to overcome the barrier between Unique and Ultimate. - This we learn from Guy in the novel after his meting with Leon before Walpurgis {Anime S2}
to clear 1. you need to reach the level of an Awakened Being ... basically a Spiritual Lifeform at the level of a True Demon Lord.
So True DL, True Hero, Saint ... True Dragon, ArchDaemons ... High ranking Spirits ... etc ...
2. is a more individual condition ... this is why you can have awakened beings without an Ultimate ... ie not every awakening into an True DL for example means also getting an Ultimate ...

Masayuki is definitely the luckiest character in the series (LN readers know the real reason why he's called the luckiest 😉) but the anime did a good job of showing why at this point his luck is backfiring a bit because everyone keeps throwing him into a situations like spreading the idea that he intends to kill Rimuru... When in reality he doesn't want to do any of that 😅 guy thinks he's gonna just escort some elves and now is getting thrown into a potential conflict with Rimuru 😅 if Rinuru wasn't so nice, Masayuki might've been purged by the combined team of Souei Diablo and Shion 😅

He's using Masayuki to fulfill that goal before Rimuru finds out about them and potentially traces their organization back to Yuuki. All the while keeping his public image squeaky clean.
I thought orthus was a separate org. Cuz the one yuuki created was named cerberus. Am i misremembering it?

Masayuki really have no combat strength at all but his skill works kinda like a mind control on everyone around him. And it has been skip in the anime but he was already mentionned in the novel when Rimuru was in Ingrassia teaching the kids.
Well he also has crazy luck....that's why he defeated Jinrai. So even if his brainwashing fails....he'll still win. But not necessarily because of anything he does.

Yuuki is still the Grandmaster of the Adventurers Guild so he does a lot of good things all the time. The only "bad thing" he did was betray Rimuru because he was in the way of his own ambitions. And I guess back Clayman if you don't like Clayman. Oh I guess he revived a former Demon Lord.
Unfortunately he is also capable of fighting, but for minimal effort he gets maximum results because the world bends itself backwards to make him the hero
Without getting into spoilers, there IS A REASON Yuuki doesn't seem to be affected by Masayuki's Chosen One.

This episode doesn’t fully capture the essence of Masayuki 😢. It’s adaptation was probably 7/10 imo.
Hinata was also pretty rushed.... in the manga she coldly offed her pops and was contemplating offing her mother too.

Slime is based on a series of LightNovels, wich I read auntil volume 10, both 9 and 10 are the worst and are the ones being adapted this season. But evena fter it gets better it's not going to get too much better, since slime is a bad story overall, with too many conveniences while taking itself serious.

Slime has really fallen now for me, suddenly introducing a random character who is now one of the most powerful person without any foreshadowing. We did not know about this character before this arc. first we had demon Lords , then we got crusaders , then we got True demon lords , 7 days clergy , now a random charcter who is called hero, who was just mentioned once. I doubt that now author will introduce sometihng like angle in next arc.
He was told in season 2 and compared to hinata too so idk where he randomly pop up
