About GK terminators, the spacer trick does work. You will have to shave down the spacers a bit for proper posing, and to avoid having a wasp waist, but even a thin spacer makes a lot of difference. You won't need much and any more than 1mm will be too much, but it will make the terminators look very good.
I feel like, based on what i know about 10th, you should do an episode on tank killers. Ostensibly, because i think trying to show off each faction's way to deal with an opponent would be interesting. But actually, because i want to listen to Eric be disappointed in his Grey Knights more.
For the Votann Hearthguard, you CAN get both an invuln and deep strike! Attatched characters also come with a crest wargear option, and you'll pretty much always attatch a character to Hearthguard to get their bodyguard ability. An attatched Kahl can give the entire unit a 5+ invuln (or deep strike, but you get that from the squad leader anyway), or an attatched Einhyr Champ can get the same crest option (personal invul or deep strike).
The fact we have to say "No no, our captain let's the termies get an invul" makes me so sad. Our factions thing is supposed to be slow and tough, but not having a standard invul and trading a wound for a toughness (definitely a downgrade) on our beefiest toughest infantry is borderline pathetic.

I almost want to offer up Killa Kanz as the Ork terminator. They have 2 wounds too many, one less save, but they have an invuln while still being mostly right for move, toughness, shooting and melee.
I feel like the homework should have been: to be a Terminator, you need +1 toughness, +1 wound, +1 to save and -1-2" move. That wouldve solved the allarus question imo
I feel like Eric was wayyyy too pedantic for Custodes Terminator. A-? Really? For being 'too good at terminator'? And you give the Exalted 8 bound who are way different *also* an A-. Or fuck, the Sisters Paragon Warsuit which just also does 'better' terminator.
For Wraithblades I feel like you need to look at the Spirit Seer - Nobody would ever run them without - In lore or on the table. That way they get Regen and Hitting on 3+ - Also since they are Eldar Infantry they got more movement shenanigans than any other faction, so I feel like Deepstrike would be overkill.

Yea, don't try to break your grey knight terminators into half folks. Also when I assembled mine I bought a bunsh of printed "true scale" legs online. There are some that are specifically for grey knights and they look great on them.
I know space marines are obviously are the most iconic army so most of the grading factions are based on them, but maybe something non sm could be a grading episode if its iconic enough (maybe trukk or leman russ or similar)
Glad my GSC scored pretty well. I think their ability to make stronger weapons wound less consistently is also really good. I love seeing my opponents face when they think they're wounding on 3's but it's actually a 4 and then the damage that gets through gets ignored lol
I just put together some 30k Termies. I cut 1-2mm of the sprue they come on and added this as the spacer between legs/torso. Some cork underneath helps too.
I feel like my squats deserved better than a B, especially with Orks getting an A- lmao. They look like terminators, they hit like terminators, and they have the option for deep strike or invulnerable, neither of which the orks have! Just cause they’re clowns doesn’t mean they deserve better grades!
For Tau you could have done the Kroot Rampager. They get an invul in the Kroot Detachment, some shooting, and okay melee. They have more toughness and wounds to help offset defence. I think they could be a solid B. But make it a B+ to shame Grey Knights
For Admech, it *should* be Myrmidons, it's just that they've just walled that unit off in Heresy. I'm happy they didn't just skip the archetype, but that model should probably be doing something weirder.
@@LordCrate-du8zmIt's rare to see Ork Tau kitbashes (I only ever see the Devilfish with wheels), but I don't think it's wrong. At worst, if scale ultimately doesn't work, you can still say it's a custom character.

Man, I'm new to the hobby and don't understand a single word that you saying, but it feels so comfy when I listen to you when painting. Thanks for upload:)
I honestly was expecting Triarch Praetorians for Necrons. They always gave me the most terminator vibes of the range. Bigger and bulkier with a jetpack, melee focused but some precursor shooting, even kind of have a hood-like design to them. They are to Necrons Warriors what terminators are to regular space marines imo.
Honestly, Space Marine terminator should get minus point for not being the classic TEQ - because If I understand correctly, toughness if how it is likely that you manage to wound - if you get past armour. Which means, that armorless Space Marine who uses terminator armour is somehow tougher than other space marines? (again, discounting armuor)
Look, as far as the Tau are concerned, 6" is melee range; Fusion Blasters and Flamers are melee weapons. Think of it like the logical extension of using a Polearm. If additional reach is a solid combat advantage in melee, then using a ranged weapon is even more combat advantage!
I think you guys should also think about point cost because, yes, the Custodes terminators are better than the Space Marines, but they cost way more in terms of points. You can field more Space Marine terminators than you can Custodes terminators
Wounder if the Tau assessment would change now that Crisis suits are being split into three datasheets and they all lose turbo-jets, so they're slightly less way too fast. 😢 Probably have to go Sunforgers specifically, because they're the only ones that get to keep the invuln option. But they like pretending to melee (especially in retaliation cadre), the unit has the same number of wounds (if all three have the single shield drone they're still allowed) and toughness, and only one worse save.
I need to point out, the einhyr hearthguard is not just okay, their volkanite disintegrators throw out a metric shit ton of MW, together with judgement tokens and the strar that gives them sustained 2, they can pack a lot of heat

Looks like the T'au slide away with an accidental A+! But being the goody two shoes we are we will tell the teacher that they gave us an A
for harlequins it's easy.back objective holder ? troupe
support fire ? troupe
mid objective controller ? troupe
generic bruiser ? troupe
Oh yay, ranking the factions sad attempts to match the glory of the crisis suit!
Wow, I know some RUclips channels change the thumbnail after posting, but it has only been five hours. I guess it was a good change since the old thumbnail made me think this was an auspex tactics video. How silly.
Next episode: propose a flyer for every faction
Shout out to whoever did the thumbnail. Allarus terminators are indeed very "tought"
Seriously though, another good episode
BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD AND SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE
Yea, don't try to break your grey knight terminators into half folks. Also when I assembled mine I bought a bunsh of printed "true scale" legs online. There are some that are specifically for grey knights and they look great on them.
The “C+” for my crisis suits turned into an “A+”. We take those.
33:58 yes tau got A+
Custodes Termies got done dirty. Custodes in general got done dirty.
Bricky should absolutely be just a silly telemarketing cutout at the end of the episode
You should do every faction’s Sturmtiger
I was surprised you didn't throw Aggressors as Space Marines extra credit homework.
Sisters maybe should have been sacrestans?
after making it through an hour of your content i did double check at myself being a subscriber, just to make sure i still had reasons to doubt myself
Eric: Custodian Terminators aren't Terminators because they're too Terminatory.
Meganobz can get a 4+ invulnerable save with a bigmek leader
Lmao Bricky merch dropping at the end killed me 😂
I'm surprised that Brad didn't pull up aggressors for spacemarines so they could give them a C.
Eric this episode literally couldn't even pretend to be consistent 😂 "Custodes terminators arent a real Terminator" "ogryns are great terminators!"
Honestly each factions “distraction carnifex” would be pretty interesting to watch
Now they need to grade every factions "indirect fire"/Basilisk unit.
Just in time to paint my Meganobz 😁
I plan on kitbashing some Meganobz with Crisis Suits (for the "Orks stole our shit" experience), how possible would that be?
@@LordCrate-du8zmIt's rare to see Ork Tau kitbashes (I only ever see the Devilfish with wheels), but I don't think it's wrong. At worst, if scale ultimately doesn't work, you can still say it's a custom character.
@@DominatorLegend I see. Thanks bro!
Some of the grades are a bit wonky (too many wounds being good/bad depending on the models, invuln saves, movement, etc.), but Crisis suits deserved the A+ for sure XD
35:38 You can hear Eric's defeat. He tried to hide it, but I heard it. James Workshop, give the man his Thunder hammers back
Honestly, Space Marine terminator should get minus point for not being the classic TEQ - because If I understand correctly, toughness if how it is likely that you manage to wound - if you get past armour. Which means, that armorless Space Marine who uses terminator armour is somehow tougher than other space marines? (again, discounting armuor)
Tau should have asked for more time to turn in their homework, and then tried to submit the new Kroot.
"Check if you are subscribed please"
Oh shit, I have been watching for 6 months now and I legit forgot to subscribe lol
Wounder if the Tau assessment would change now that Crisis suits are being split into three datasheets and they all lose turbo-jets, so they're slightly less way too fast. 😢
Probably have to go Sunforgers specifically, because they're the only ones that get to keep the invuln option.
Plus I'd say their lack of invuln is made up for by having the -1 to wound thing. They deserved A-.
Screw breaking bad. Breaking Eric is my new favorite thing to watch. Thank you Brad!
