@@ArleneBeechHomebird Thank you. First, I thought they were elephant seals. When I looked closer, they were something else. Here in California, I have never seen any gray seal, just harbor seals and elephant seals.

That is so interesting! The male is huge. And he doesn´t let her go. Is this white pup hers? She seems always wanting to go to her pup. And then he gets aggressive, she is dulcifying him. Their fins are like hands, grabbing and holding each other. Great footage! Thank you for uploading!

The white pup will be hers.
The last one or two days before she leaves the pup she will mate with the bull seal.
After she leaves, the pup lives off its blubber for a week or so and moults its white fur, then its ready to go off on its own.
That's what happens with the grey seal colony here where I live in the UK anyway! I don't know if they are different there.

@@JenniLouiseCox Thanks for this information. I wish these wonderful animals will breed and have a lot of offspring. Here in Germany we also have Gray seals, but mainly common seals and ringed seals. Unfortunately over 1000 km away from the town, were I live....
Gray seals are fascinating predators. Not only do they eat fish, they also hunt and eat occasionally seals and porpoises.
