    After watching your video and seeing your comment about the Oregon RW bars. I’m a dealer and called Oregon today about the situation. They are currently on hold of production because of the insert issues. They aren’t scrapping the bar line but trying to rectify the insets coming loose. I suggested riveting the insets in instead of gluing them. That’s how I repair them when I have to warranty them. So hopefully they can get them back into production.
    I actually made a light weight small mount 28” bar this way for my Jonsered 2260 and it’s worked out well.
    I too bought the Husky bar but they are just too dang heavy to be classified as a light bar.

      Thanks for the information. I am glad to hear they are going to be putting the light weights back on the shelf! I agree that the new husky bars are not really light weight. Thanks again for all the information!

    It's a rebranded sugihara in my opinion it's probably got the toughest tip of them all I haven't tried cannon but with my experience they hold up very very well

    We use to use the Windsor bars back when I cut timber,they were thinner and alot lot then Oregon or Stihl.

    As far as I could tell it’s a sugihara bar with husqvarna painted over it. Uses the same tip anyway.?? Oregon rw bars are difficult to find and your gonna pay more when you do find one. Cannon duralite is a good bar but heavy and extremely expensive. Tsumura always are good but almost impossible to find right now. Stihl light are what I like. Great video Dan. 👍🏻

      Thanks. Stihl light bars with the husky adaptor might be the best solution right now. Hopefully someone will come out with a good husky bar that is lighter.

    Thanks Dan! I run the 28" Sugi with the H83 chain on my 572xp. It has six inserts as well. Probably would have went with the Oregon light if I knew about it then. The Sugi works for what I use it for and am not cutting 8 hours a day!

    The aluminum insert on the Oregon has a tendency to pop out, especially on bars 32" and up. I probably like The Stihl reduced weight bars the best as the insert is welded in. The Sugi's are very well made too, just not as light. The Tsumura's is lighter than the Sugi, but the tips are not that durable, which is not a huge deal as the tips are not too expensive.

    Whew! If that's the only con about this bar - that Husq didn't take out so much material that the bar flexes and/or doesn't cut straight - I'm good with that. I never really got into the whole "light bar" thing anyway. Considering that bars don't weight that much anyway, trying to take a few *ounces* off of a 15 (or 20) pound saw didn't seem too life-changing to me. But, sure I get it.

    • @norcaltimberfaller1943
      @norcaltimberfaller1943  5 месяцев назад

      Yes, I think thats the biggest downside. Using it every day for commercial timber falling a guy looks for more lightness, but for the occasional saw operator....the weight is a lot less of an issue in my opinion.

    I bought a new 572 powerhead and went with a Husqvarna light 32" bar thinking it would be light, OMG what a heavy monster of a chainsaw , without gas.
    I'm thinking to change it out for a 24"bar. I fill Husqvarna should take the light word off the bar or explain where they get the light from.
    I fill like saying light is a real trick to a newer customer, not fair. Saying light with a 150 .00 price tag , people are going to think it's really going to be the cat's butt .

    Thanks for the review. Should be called the "almost as heavy" Sugi bar. Appreciate your time making the video. It kind of sucks that the only strong light long bar is Stihl. But, who cares what the brand is anyway - but it does look a little funny running Stihl on husky. Maybe Husq should make a "Super duper di light" bar, which is a copy of the old Oregon bar ...

    Hello Dan, Do you grease the sprocket on this bar or do you just rely on the bar oil to lubricate it? It seems there are many different opinions on this,some say using grease causes the sprocket to seize up from sawdust.. Thanks

    I want so bad to get that bar, not only is estetic, it Has a good quality and durability, but its only avaible on UK or US. Buying it on the US and sending it to the county I live would cost about 200$ . I've been cuting some 2-3-4 foot trees, and using the default 40€ default husqvarna arm. Is good overall but after one month of using, even turning it around, it kinda gets curvy and dont cut straight anymore, probably cause of the pressure since most of the fell and stay like a "bridge". That happens cause im working on about 1.5km above from the sea level and the trees are not fully straight cause of the wind. If I bought that bar I would use it for the bottom mostly and the normal default husqvarna bar on the other husqvarna 365xp I have. I have a 572xp so I would use the husqvarna trough light bar on the 572 and use it to cut the bigger part of the timber and then use the 372 with the Default to cut the top. I guess that could work but I would like to know your opinion.

    • @norcaltimberfaller1943
      @norcaltimberfaller1943  2 года назад +1

      It sounds like the husqvarna light bar would work good for you in that timber. It is a good quality bar and I think it would do well in the cutting conditions you are describing. It is not as light as an Oregon light weight bar , but I think it is better quality and more durable then an Oregon light weight bar.
