I've had my diva cup for 7 years. I'll take it over irritation from pads or tampons. Sometimes I don't even wear underwear cus it never leaks for me also a plus when I'm sleeping, no leaks no mess until you take it out at the end of the day 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have been trying everything possible with my cup to open and on my last period I accidentaly tryed something that is making my cup open every single time on the first try- put it in your favorite fold, insert HALF way- so half of the cup is still outside of your vulva. Release it and wiggle it to open. Now just pust it by the pin inside to the place where you place it usually. It is much easyer to let it open while it is still partially outside so you can play with it with fingers. Hope it helps ❤

Somebody please help me. I’m 23 and have been using pads all my life. Thought of switching to a cup since it’s everyone’s ’best decision ever’. I’ve been trying to insert this for the past 2 days and all am left with is a lot of pain.
I was confident I could do it, I can only insert the rim and the rest doesn’t go in. I tried pushing it in with all my energy still it ain’t going up. I actually feel like I don’t have an opening there 🚶🏽‍♀️.only the rim gets there, no matter how hard I push it in that’s just not going. Now am confused if I’m inserting it at the right place or not.

It could take some time for you to get used to a menstrual cup or disc, if you want to give it a try, I will recommend the XS/Teen Cup or the Pixie Disc Small, these are 2 of the smallest disc/cup options on the market. Depending on your flow, you may not need to empty your cup/disc while at school, we do carry products to try and make it easier in public restrooms though.

One leg up in the shower or even outside of the shower. Twisting and bearing down or pushing the middle part of the bottom of the cup....and it goes up higher than you think. Not all the way up in the vaginal fornication but just at the opening. If you are brand new try a firmer cup or if you are sensitive try a less firm cup and try different folds before you actually start your period. But use lube because it's different when you don't have all that moisture to help the cup glide easier. Your first day on your cycle will most likely need to be changed more frequently. And wear a back up pair of period undies or a pad reusable or disposable.
    Goodluck!

First, I saw you reply to another comment that you prefer these over tampons bc less cramping, wdym? Do you get more cramps with tampons? Second, to take it out do you just reach in? Third, can it move or tip over? Fourth when you put it in do you have to stick it uncomfortably high? Hope you see this reply!

      @@milkshager3451 Hello. :)
I have always cramped so bad with any size tampon. Tampons make my cramps worse. I don't know if this happens to everyone.
It depends on your cervix height. During and after your period, your cervix with change a tiny bit. It is definan6something to research as well. Our bodies are such amazing vessel's!
I usually just bear down or act like im pushing a doo doo or baby out [lol 😆] and I can feel the tab or part of the cup that help you reach. You have to break.the seal though! Its really.not horrible. I feel, everyone should be in touch with there bodies. And you must know who you are before you can have a happy relationship. Thats a whole different conversation though!

You might be getting the wrong sizes! Every vaginal canals depth is different, you could also be putting it in too deep or not deep enough. You shouldn’t feel anything, you just have to test it out a few times, but be careful with tampons though. If you put it in wrong and it’s uncomfortable, you’ll have to slowly pull that thing out and it will HURT because it’ll be dry!

Try to insert little finger i.e. pinky finger cleanly washed, and Nails trimmed
And insert this pinky finger during ur periods or 1 or 2 days before ur prds date, cos vaginal is gycerin like wet at that time so it doesn't cause friction
Also, remember Do you wash ur vulvar region with water and soap properly regularly during bathing?
if not , that means u r not taking care of n knowing ur own body and health
A boy can touch , pull foreskin back and clean his penis, as he has right to his personal body n care, so do u have too
Even if u don't use a cup, it is always good to take care of ur genital areas
U can check by inserting pinky finger as a normal check up to see if u have high cervix or low just for ur own body knowledge and health awareness, isn't it?

How many times do you need to take it out? Im asking for heavy flow girls. It looks like a dozen trips to the washrooms. Then fear of touching blood even if its my own, when you remove the cup doesn't it spill in back inside you and also all over your hands? 💀 If i had wore it, i would really want to clean inside me with water or I'd feel so dirty. I'm not trying to criticize by the way, I am just thinking of how this will never work for me. Personal opinion.

    • @pixiecup
      @pixiecup  11 месяцев назад +2

It depends on your flow, but you may have to remove it every few hours if you have heavy flow. Typically a menstrual cup can be comfortably emptied every 6 hours on average depending on the size of the cup.
If you remove the cup before it's too full, emptying it shouldn't be messy and you should be able to dump the contents in the toilet. However, using a menstrual cup isn't for everyone, but it can be well worth the try! :)

      2. If u change it frequently and wash it, it would never smell.
      3. Its biologically not possible for it to get lost in ur body.
      4. The silicone material used in cups very safe for ur body and doesnt harm u.

It doesn't have to be an actual "pop", but it does need to unfold all the way after you insert it. We'd recommend getting a smaller cup so it unfolds easier. We have an Extra Small/Teen Cup if you want to try a smaller size!

Yes, it can! Most menstrual cups hold at least 18ml which is around the same as 2 tampons/pads and at most 35ml, which is 4 tampons/pads.

as someone with PCOS and an extremely heavy flow- a cup is the ONLY product I use, because it works the best for me and lasts the longest. I would have to change a pad every hour or two, a tampon every 2 or 3 and I only change my cup every 4 or 5 on a heavy day. On lighter days I can go 8-12 hours, and let me tell you, it is pure FREEDOM to be able to do that. Give it a try for yourself and see if you like it :)

    • @pixiecup

It depends on the height of your cervix. If you have a lower cervix, the stem may stick out. The best way to fix this is to turn the cup inside out or trim the stem so it doesn't cause discomfort.
