Hi @Sugandha Priya , thanks for your mentioning your experience.I am facing similar issues and I am too scared.Good that you mentioned about lying on bed and trying. I will try it.
Got mi DivaCup #2 a couple of months ago and have used it in two periods. 1st period: 1 day was confusing, did not feel anything, but was checking down there every hour. Changed it in 4 hours and good. 2 days less worried, changed in 8 hours and no problem no stains, nothing, nada. Day 3 amazing, happy happy happy. Changed it 9 hours after application, No stains, and happier than ever. 2nd: Period: Ha? What period, what is that? LOL My alarm had to remind me I had to change the cup (not really but so comfortable) 1000% recommended.
@@Anushametta3 if you had a baby or not is only a small factor in choosing the right cup, what is also important is how heavy the flow is (for a heavier flow - bigger cup) and if you have a high or low cervix (if you have a low cervix, you should pick a smaller cup)
Yesterday evening i got my period... Today morning i recived my menstrual cup...the main reason for opting cup is to save my mother earth... Actually this cup should rech me after my periods... But see how the universe care for you if you started taking care about environment... Ok ... Iam going to use this for the first time... I don't know how it will be
I would like to mention a few things that you missed. 1) While taking it out, apply some pressure on your stomach, like you do during a bowel movement. The cup will start coming down. You'll have to coordinate your hands and your breath to get it out. 2) It's not easy to have a bowel movement with the cup inside because of the pressure applied. You might have to remove it while you're pooping. So you can time emptying your cup with your bowel lol. That being said, thank you Prachi. You were the reason I bought a menstrual cup. P.S. I have been using Sirona menstrual cup and it's quite good. The tip isn't too big as well.
I just came out of washroom after removing cup and found this video.. this was my first time and the cup was way too inside , it literally took me 10 min to find back the cup's tail and then I applied pressure for another 10 mins to pull it out, it was like I was trying to give birth.. painful.. frustrating and scary (what if it scratches out my walls while coming out or what if the tail breaks while holding it as I had to keep applying pressure to keep the tail out because every time I release the pressure the cup went back inside) some how I succeeded to pull it out.. dint have courage to put it back post emptying. This was my short scary story with menstrual cup.
@@neelamyadav1897 I get it sis. Happened with me too. It will definitely take some time to get used to the whole process. If it is way too inside, wait few more hours for it to her filled and slide down a bit. And don't pull out the tip. It might damage the tip. Use one hand to separate the labia and one to press the circular thingy near the tip and slowly move it down. Also try changing your position a bit.
Menstrual Cup is the most amazing thing happened to me as a girl ❤️ I could get rid of all the mess with pads during the periods n post periods (wastage). It's so comfortable n not messy which is wonderful n its reusable for so many years which make it super awesome. My friend suggested it and it's been my periods partner since 8 months. I heard about this for the first time in your Channel. I'm unmarried n there's no fault in using something which makes u so comfortable just because society is bothered. Mentioning this coz I've heard a lot of people blabbering about unmarried and virgin stuff. Seriously guys?! Anyway thank you for mentioning that Dhee. 💯❤️Very useful video. Please use menstrual cups girls, good for u n the environment equally. 💕 Tip: I use hydrogen peroxide diluted in water for cleaning my cup which can make your cup appear new. I make sure that I boil the cup before doing this.
@@letsgetbettertogether669 wow skin science's is also very good, u'll get a hygiene wash as well and price is also very reasonable.. Am using it from more than 2years and have no issue
I got a menstrual cup, I'm on my periods n still using pads...😂😂 Every time I see menstrual cup I'll b like for sure I'll use next time ...n that next time never arrived at all out of fear😂😂😂
I have been using menstrual cup for 5/6 cycles now, none of the earlier cycles my period was stain free, even with the cup (medium size cup because I am 43) inserted, I had to use the Maxi pads, after watching your video instructions I bought a small size inserted and first time I had an absolute leak and stain free period, this is amazing.. Thanks Prachi
Once you start using it, there is no going back. :D One amazing tip I heard in another video is to use your cup inside out, it will become softer and smaller but please note that the stem won't be available in this case so you'll have to pull it out from the base.
Great job Prachi. Several yrs back I came across the details about menstrual cups and persuaded my niece and my daughter to go for it. They both are unmarried young girls. They did, with a few initial hiccups. But they loved it. You are doing a service by trying to popularize it. It is so much more comfortable, hardly messy and more hygienic than sanitary napkins or tempons. And great money saver as well as very good for the environment ❤️
I am using it for the second time And it is easy compared to the last time But your this video helped me alot The folding trick for insertion is very useful It made the process a lot smoother Thank u
I had never imagined this cup would make my life so easy and comfortable. I can't switch back to sanitary napkin ever. Literally can't imagine my life without a cup. Go ahead ladies and have happy pad-free periods💓

I've been using menstrual cups from 2 years ( starting my journey at 15) and my periods have never been so easy...... initially I had some trouble using it but I got used to it after 3 cycles Before this I had been using pads and had rashes because of it. I'm in love with the cups now
Hey am.15 now and what size of menstrual cup should I use? I'm bringing in courage to use it....and I'm hoping that my father would agree to buy..I'm a motherless child so ya...what size should I use?
I would suggest you start with the small one...once you get used to it u can buy a larger one if you have heavy flow...it can feel really scary, plz research on it b4 using and buy a good quality medical grade cup...good luck😇
Yes pads in the market in India currently seem to have lots of artificial chemicals for scent or odor control which can cause rashes or worse issues, i feel increased bleeding also happens for me due to the scents. Or the plastic or glue of pads can cause allergies too. Am thinking of trying a cup, but the amount of flow i get i dont think such cups would cover my issues. And draining it every 4-5 hours or cleaning hygenically a fter use seems like a lot. Wish period flow itself could be less eventually. 😂
To support your words at the last of your video........ I would add ..... that "📗"NCERT - 12 Biology book"📗" In the chapter -Human reproduction ....... clearly mentoned this 👉The hymen is often torn during the first coitus (intercourse). However, it can also be broken by a sudden fall or jolt, insertion of a vaginal tampon, active participation in some sports like horseback riding, cycling, etc. In some women the hymen persists even after coitus. In fact, the presence or absence of hymen is not a reliable indicator of virginity or sexual experience.👈 So let's break the myth😤 And thank you so much for making this video🥰🥰🥰
I was preparing for NCERT Neet in your fingertips....!Only biology ...remaining can be managed with my college ...notes and their neet books..!ALL THE BEST!
Not a biology student rather a law student, Forensic science also states that hymen breakage is not a conclusive proof of verginity loss........one needs to go for proper medical tests to establish a woman's virginity.
Great video!! I can't even get myself to put a finger inside myself. I'm just too nervous . I ordered a menstrual cup and a menstrual cup lubricant as well to first insert my finger and get acquainted with the feeling. UPDATE-- I finally inserted my finger the next day, SURPRISINGLY it did not hurt. And I actually tried the menstrual cup. I'm not on my period, but I wanted to get used to the process. I couldn't feel it "POP" though, and I could actually feel the cup for sometime immediately after I inserted it. I couldn't feel it later. And it actually moved further in. Maybe because the cervix was high because I'm not bleeding. Anyway, hoping for a better experience!
@@top-tiertamil3367 Hey, if you can feel the cup, you probably didn't insert it well. I've been using the cup for 3 months now. And if it's hurting, buy a water based lubricant. Your cup will slide in smoothly:)
I started using menstrual cup after watching your video it's been 3 months i have been using and it's very comfortable for me having a happy period without any itching thanku Prachi di ♥️
Nice I'll love to add something, dont drag a menstrual cup out of you to avoid damaging your pelvic floor. Make sure you use your finger to unlock the suction first
Thankyou Prachi for being there really , I got my first cup , I used little ointment while in the process ! I did slid in with little resistance now waiting for finish the process !!
Once is not enough I a afraid. There is a learning curve to this cup. It could take you a couple of periods to get used to with techniques and as such the cup and body becoming compatible. Try it for atleast 3 periods. I am pretty sure you won't go back to sanitary pads. Imagine your life where you don't feel the flow of blood outside your body. Plus pads have harmful chemicals. As a fellow human and a woman I would suggest go with a positive mindset and think of long term.
I using meluna cup that is the best work of my body because that is classic firm cup no leakage problem first time use soft cup there is no work so I research and change the meluna cup I suggest every woman keep go there 🙏❤️
Ur last menstrual cup vdo inspired me to switch from pads. I hv been using cup for 1.5 yr now.... N I absolutely love it, my cup is my savior. It was scary n felt wierd in the beginning but i did not let it stop me from using it..... It just fixed all my period issues like stains evrytime I lay on bed, changing pad in 4/5 hrs. I sleep like a baby without any stress abt weting the bed with blood.
@@jamunajoandarc1178 make a pinch down shape...apply some coconut oil around the points areas.... Then try to insert the folded cup as if u r inserting it towards your tail.... I mean dont insert it straight , insert it with little tilt Or slightly downward... Also while inserting the cup do a little pelvic hold and release...like u do while taking a shit....when the cup it inside pull it a bit outside to see if it is inserted properly....if it isnt inserted properly the cup will come out with just a little pull....but if the seal is formed, u wont b able to pull it out easily. It take practice....dont get disappointed.....u will get the hold if it eventually....n when that happens u will never go back to pads unless u have to....hope this helps.
I had an issue in the beginning as I used to do punch down fold...it would take me a long time to open it inside...there r many many ways to fold...for me .."7 fold " worked..it took me many many tries and many many months to actually understand how it works...now I very comfortable ...also how heavy or light u bleed also matters...there is a channel called "put a cup in it." This channel has completely dedicated itself to give more detailed idea on menstrual cup...it helped me understand my menstrual cup and the idea behind it....!! Also hard cup are good for women's who r active ...as thier vaginal gets stronger...so if ur active and using soft cup...the vaginal muscles may compress the cup as a result u could see spillage..my first cup was soft and small it didn't work for me as I'm active and bleed alot...I switched to lady go active mode large size cup and it worked for me..there will be alot of error and failures...it is completely ok give it a try..I tried to be as raw as I could with writing down my experience..anyway...do a lot of research ...it's worth it...
A doubt🙄my period is quite painful so I sleep almost all day is it ok if I wear this cup? Cuz I'm scared of leakage while sleeping😅Fed up of changing pads while I can't even stand up😭🤣
depending on how heavy your flow is you can leave the cup in for 12 hours so that would be twice a day. you definitely want to practice before using it on your period, so you get confident in putting it in and out when you're on your period because if you're already in pain you don't need the added stress of taking it out for the first time. of course practice only gives you the skill of putting it in and out, you still need to figure out how often you have to change it before it leaks when you're actually on your period.
I'm so much relieved to have such a great content video to educate my friends and younger sisters easily. I too find menstrual cup really comfortable but they're hard to explain to other girl, especially younger sisters. This video solves a lot for me❤️
I am also trying with the cup these days, and trust me, it's not tough at all to insert, although it may look little scary when you hold it in your hand and thinking of inserting, but just keep saying to yourself that it's no big deal, the size of cup is nothing in comparison to the size of a baby. and talking about pain, nah, not at all, it's the thought of having pain which is making you feel pain, not the actual pain. but for me now, pulling it out is still hard and much time taking, I get tired of squatting when I pull the cup out, and let me till you I have done it only 2 times yet (not two cycles, literally two times inserting and taking out), so yeah, there is much more to experience in future. I have to research and learn more about taking the cup out ... one last thing to tell for now, don't be afraid of trying it, it's fun and a lot of learning about your own body.
Yeah you dont have to tell your mom...my mom doesn't allow either so I stopped telling her that I am using it for 2 yrs...my health is important than her fear. Try to make her understand the importance...if she does not understand then dont tell her
The only way I could convince my mom was to say I was having allergies with pads, which did end up happening (and it's absolutely terrible so I had to do something), but maybe if you tell her it's getting itchy or whatever. I've been using one for more than 2 years now and my mom still doesn't like it, but we just don't talk about it and go on with our lives
So I struggled with the cup...didn't know what size and someone suggested that I try doing it when I'm not on my periods since its not as messy ...we'll that didn't work and I couldn't even put it in ..let alone it leaking or not opening up ... your tip to try during the heaviest flow really really helped ...I'm soo glad I can use it now and not feel guilty about throwing a pad away...the best advice I've got in all my life ...thank you soo much..
Started using cups from today and my first experience is amazing. Pad free period is looking very exciting to me. I saw many videos before ordering and even inserting it. I tried inserting it calmly and it worked well for me. I am liking this cup thing a lot. It's my first day still I've to learn about its use more, but I am happy that I switched to cups.
@@ammaraali1819 hey sure. First calm down. Don't panic. Try to sit on an indian toilet seat or in squat position it's going to help. Before trying to reach out, keep in mind that your hands are washed. Try to give little pressure to lower abdomen (like at the time of pee), it will push the cup out. Once you can feel the tip, you can press the sides of cup inwards. It will help to release vaccum. Once vaccum is released, you can slowly pull out the cup. I hope it helps :)
@@richaesingh hey, i also tried a cup for the first time but it isn't opening at all. Tried rotating it but it only shifted the fold from one side to other. Can you please help me with it?
@@ritikasrivastava4346 Yes sure. First of all sit on an Indian toilet seat or in squat position. If it's not opening after you inserted it, you need to pull it little out and bring it to the end of your vaginal hole. It will get some space to pop up. In first few times it will have problem in opening but with time you'll learn the art. Hope it helps.
1) Why did you change from Wow cup btw? I got the wow cup after your recommendation and I've been using it for a year. It is quite hard and had faced the folding issue very often. The best tip I ever got was to insert the cup with the fold looking down. The endpart of the vagina is more elastic, so you can easily insert a finger and push toward the 'under' wall of the vagina so you make space for the cup to open. Also, one I recommend the half diamond fold, the cup becomes very small :)
Hello guys I just wanna share you my experience with menstrual cup..... I'm 15 years old and I have heard many times about menstrual cup so I decided to use it and today my 5 days periods days are completed and this time I used menstrual cup and I was really very much comfortable, no leakage and all and I really enjoyed this 5 days pad free periods....and sometimes I forgot that I'm in my periods because there is no discomfort of pad which pads obviously causes...and if any girl wants to ask me anything...you can ask...feel free to ask with me🥰.... thank you for reading this all😅
@Cecil E yeah same with me I was also unable to find but then I noticed that from where menstrual blood was coming and then i found that at the centre of the area the cervix is there and it was very closed then I expand it and put the menstrual cup in.... good luck and now if you find any difficulty so u can ask me without hesitation👍
I'm using pads since years but still I'm not used to it, they r very uncomfortable.... I can't maintain my walk bcz the pad keep sliding or shrinking & most uncomfortable thing is when i lay down on my bed, it hurts my back n i can't even roll on other sides bcz of leakage...just lay still facing roof...its not the prds tht make me suffer, its these pads!...i hate em..i wanna try smtg easier n comfortable bt we have pads, tampons n these cups...fed up of pads already, tampons r horrible....so i wanna try this cup now..bt can't get it...
I've been using the wow menstrual cup since I saw your previous menstrual cup videoand this is how I use it. Insertion- v fold and insert completely.twist the cup by holding on the bottom for the cup to open . Be relaxed .When tensed , vaginal walls contact and the cup won't open .hold the bottom and pull down slightly to check the vaccum seal. If you feel pressure inside while pulling down ,and cup won't slide out ,you are done.(the menstrual cup settles at a certain level in your vagina.the level can differ from person to person.mine settles in lower almost at the opening of vagina). Removal- pinch at the base of the cup and pull out slowly . Empty it rinse and reinsert. cleaning- after period ends , washthe cup with mild soap using a soft toothbrush (brush the rim and holes of the cup properly), then sterilize in boiling water for 5 min. Dry and store .
I’m using this video as my first time tutorial watch along. I was freaking out when it felt stuck as I was trying to take it out but came back to these tips and it helped so much ❤️ thank you ❤️

You can wear it for 10 hours. But it totally depends upon your flow if you have heavy flow the you have to change it within 4-6 hours (you will feel the cup coming a little bit down) if you have normal flow then you can keep it for 8-9 hours. You can totally sleep with it and it will not move. Hope it solved your query
Try different folding techniques. And she gave a really good tip, try it on your heaviest flow day. There is more natural lubricant because of the blood. Something that helps me also is not drying it off after washing. No water should be inside of it. But just the little droplets on the outside some times help with inserting. Also it is possible you got one that was too big. They do make sizes. If you have not had a child then look for a smaller size. Lastly it takes some time to get the hang of. I have been using one for almost a year and I love it. But some months its like I've forgotten how it works, lol. Its taken me up to 7 tries to get it in. Take a deep breath relax and keep trying as long as there is no pain. If its still not working wait a few hours and try again. I really hope this helped. 😊
Its not right that the cup slides down with heavy flow too, it's a vaccum grip that holds the cup inside and though the lubricant is more, the vaccum created inside holds it right if it's placed in the right position, that's the reason many forget they hav one inside them. Ofcourse it's advised for a max of 12 hours.
Well good luck. Although some people said it worked for them and they never went back to pads or tampons. But so far, it has been hell for me. Idk if it's the size(I used small), the type of the cup, my cervix is low or whatever but I'm really tired and frustrated already after trying it 2 times(during 2 periods). Omg..

Whoever needs an explanation of my experience I will say...
First of all you need to be patient and determined..I m 20 and I m not sexually active also I never did something like fingering or anything I not known even where is the hole in which I have to put it 😂 it took 10 minutes to find that particular hole after that I putted my finger inside to know if my finger is going inside or not then I tried to insert the diva cup inside that hole but as my vagina is not aware of that something is coming to meet her she can't even accepting it then I used my finger to make her aware that I will be using diva cup for sure ..After couple of tries I inserted it now it's inside me ..After trying I was shivering I m feeling like I had sex😂I was sweating shivering feeling tired but I did it..
>Tips according to me...
•You need to be patient and determined
• You need not to feel it's gross because it's a part of ur body u need to treat it like u treating ur face ur hands ur other body parts
•If you are sexually active or familiar with your vagina you won't take this much time
Very well explained.

Brilliant tips!
Did u consult a gynecologist before using menstrual cup (for the first time ) ? Is it necessary?
@@neelamyadav1897 there is a video by OragniCup on how to use it. It is very helpful. You can look for it. Just have patience for a few cycles :)
Tip: I use hydrogen peroxide diluted in water for cleaning my cup which can make your cup appear new. I make sure that I boil the cup before doing this.

I was so scared 😟 if I did something wrong but hearing from u feels natural!
I've been using menstrual cups from 2 years ( starting my journey at 15) and my periods have never been so easy...... initially I had some trouble using it but I got used to it after 3 cycles
Before this I had been using pads and had rashes because of it.
My removal is very painful always
To support your words at the last of your video........ I would add ..... that "📗"NCERT - 12 Biology book"📗"

👉The hymen is
often torn during the first coitus (intercourse). However, it can also be broken
by a sudden fall or jolt, insertion of a vaginal tampon, active participation
in some sports like horseback riding, cycling, etc. In some women the hymen
persists even after coitus. In fact, the presence or absence of hymen is not a reliable indicator of virginity or sexual experience.👈
So let's break the myth😤

Great video!! I can't even get myself to put a finger inside myself. I'm just too nervous . I ordered a menstrual cup and a menstrual cup lubricant as well to first insert my finger and get acquainted with the feeling.
UPDATE--
I finally inserted my finger the next day, SURPRISINGLY it did not hurt.
I'm using on my periods and same issue . I could feel the cup and pain for sometime

You also have to think about the amount of waste pads create

depending on how heavy your flow is you can leave the cup in for 12 hours so that would be twice a day. you definitely want to practice before using it on your period, so you get confident in putting it in and out when you're on your period because if you're already in pain you don't need the added stress of taking it out for the first time. of course practice only gives you the skill of putting it in and out, you still need to figure out how often you have to change it before it leaks when you're actually on your period.

@@ammaraali1819 hey sure. First calm down. Don't panic. Try to sit on an indian toilet seat or in squat position it's going to help.

🙋🏻♀️am also small.......I also have the same query?!
You definitely can
Use small size. That's especially for teenagers
Yes u can use cup at any age
GOD BLESS YOU
Thank you so much for the guide
I was expecting for you to tell how many hours one can wear and how comfortable it will be at night 😔
@@anvitabhalla thank u so much
Thanks prachi for your all gathered and experienced information.
I have done so many researches and finally bought one..last year. It's not even going in 😑
Try different folding techniques. 😊
😭 same here too.. hi-fi
Not getting my periods since 3 months , mom denied to permit me to use menstrual cup but still watching this bcoz i'll definitely use this in future
Omg..
@@jholo9922 so , isn't it worth using?
I experienced jade san starch and I felt pretty amazing. Even though there is a leak, this is the first time, I will deal with it next time.❤
