First pair of New Balances I’ve ever bought. Extremely blown away by the comfort of these shoes. I stand up all day and these give me zero fatigue & supreme comfort that LASTS! I have flat and wide feet so finding a shoe that best suits me sometimes is a hit or miss.
These shoes hit the nail on the head as far as comfort, style, quality, and US made .Worth the purchase in my honest opinion!
what sizing? did you half size down and wide?
It’s ya boy half size down in us sizing or uk sizing? Because i am generally uk12/us13 for nike aj1, am90 etc so should i go uk11.5/us12 or uk12.5/us13? I don’t think there are uk12/us12.5 in these.

@@jus2804 Hey! So I ended up getting them in wide and they are the best shoes I've bought. I got it in the same size as my converse and AF1 size which are 8 womens. So if you have either converse or AF1, get the same size as those in wide!

Just got the EXACT same ones today in mail. I love how they have the little Reflector accents...Not over done but just enough to add some character & also good for night. I either wear a size 8 or 8.5 so I got "Size 8 WIDE". I kinda wish I got size 8.5 regular (but I have wide toe box) cause my big toe on hits just a little at end of inner part of the shoe. Hope the shoes will give a little at that spot. Other then that these shoes are my MOSY comfortable!
Great review. I will be getting a pair & going a 1/2 sz down. It’s crazy to see how far new balance has come. Back in the days a person will get teased for wearing new balances but trends constantly change & what I like about new balance, the prices are decent & you get excellent quality

I used to get pain in my arches and calves would swell being on my feet all day . Bought these on ebay on the cheap for $45 . Most comfortable shoes Ive ever worn can legit walk for miles and hors with no leg fatigue now. And the Made in America is the icing on top ! Best shoes ever Im buying 990s for now on amazing shoe !

Like the review.. went half a size down on these as well as the ALD 550’s.. you mentioned you didn’t do that with the 530s.. I’m thinking of copping those next.. do they run tts ?( to your nike size )
Found the Navy pair at a Marshall's in Toronto (Winner's had the Black pair but not in my size). They are so comfy and they were $149.99 CAD and retail is usually $259.99 CAD.
just got my v5's via ebay good seller for 140 bucks no shipping or tax traditional route these go for 175 bucks which is high. I've been with the 990's since jan. 98 when i enlisted in the US army they are incredible shoes i've tried alternatives but keep coming back to the 990's which are endorsed recommended by foot specialists/doctors. I will caution to avoid getting these wet they will break down rather quickly keep the shoes dry and rotate them if possible with another pair if you running with these.
After almost a year of holding out.... I'd finally succumbed and copped my first pair of 990V5. It took that long for me to warm up to the model....and also that I cannot cop the 992 here in Australia.
Contrary to what almost everyone suggested, I went true to size. I tried half size down but it's just abit too cramp across the toes.

This is the type of shoe that doesn’t care if it’s popular or not. It gets the job done and shines with timeless glory along the way.
And this...is why the 990v5 is my favorite shoe.

How’s the arch stability? I have a high arch.
I found them basically true to size compared to other brands. Maybe you need to go half a size down if you don't tie them like shown in this video, though.
I also have 1 small defect on the knitted synthetic part right by the ankle of the shoe, which is a bit disappointing considering the price point of these.
They are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn, though.
These must be versatile: They look like they will be stunting with Ripped skinny jeans + Bogo hoodies, and also with dad jeans with tucked in T-shirts whilst mowing the lawn.
I’ve been wanting made in USA new balance for years now but did not want to import. Now it’s easier! My previous all white NB Encap W530 fit small so I sized up to 7.5 but they actually feel too snug now!? I’ve barely worn them. Was wondering if I should go with size 8W for these 990s now?
both of those shoes fit completely different. the 530s I went with my true size (size 10) and they fit a little snug at first, but eventually broke in and fit fine now. 990s I went half down (9.5) and they fit great right off the bat. Don't use your 530s as reference for 990s. Maybe go to a store and try them first if there are any around you that have

Castlerock is the same colorway. It might just be how the photos came out if you're looking at them on two different sites

haha for real though, the overall look is pretty similar but for some reason I dig the V5 over the V4, maybe it's just because they're fresh to me right now
Every single 990 is a great quality shoe for anybody. Even the 992 and 3 were great. They are all similar. The V5 should not have the gay plastic band thing but it still is probably a great shoe.

Just got a pair and I was pretty disappointed with some of the craftsmanship because of there were a few defects. Did some research and found out most of the shoe is not made in the USA lmao

I don't know what your af1 size is but if you're going half size down to us10 then it'll be the same on the new balance. In other words go half size down to 10 US
