Just some history on the 990, when it was created NB wanted to make the best running shoe regardless of money to produce. This shoe has Encap, which is a technology that prevents pronation and supination and keeps your foot in a neutral position. The 990v5 is made in USA, which means premium materials and craftsmanship & it still holds true as one of the best running shoes that money can buy. The 990 is the benchmark of quality as far as running shoes go.

What a beautiful simple shoe
I recently bought two pairs of these. One in blue and the other in black. They feel extremely comfortable and supportive. Appears to be very well made. A few years ago I had become discouraged by New Balance as I had purchased some 928's and they did not hold up as well as I felt they should have. Looks like New Balance has turned the corner on this model and produced a much more durable shoe. They are made in Lawrence , Massachusetts. Good review Alex !!!! Hope your 990's are holding up well for you.

This shoe is so nice and the comfort and quality is unmatched.

I have a wide feet. Should I go for wide? If so, does that affect the length of shoes? I'm a 6-6.5 in Adidas ultraboost. I've owned a new balance shoe.
I don’t think it should affect the length. I’d say that regular fits pretty wide already but maybe go for wide if they are available just to be sure..

Does your pair make a squeaky sound at the heel? Or is that normal? I feel like I may have received a defective pair

I’d say true to size. They run a little wider in the standard fit but I would still stick to usual size
What was your width that you chose?
I think regular, I wasn’t able to choose so I assume regular
Are your feet Narrow?
I have standard fit and they fit nicely on a narrow foot imo
