Your home arcade makes me nostalgic for the arcade I went to back-in-the-day at the local Roller World Skating Rink. Lots of memories. Lots of quarters.👍
Boogie, I just want to say that I'm incredibly proud of the progress you've made in such a short time. You look practically unrecognizable. Well done :)
I occasionally check up on his channel every now and again and I'm impressed with the progress. I'm constantly looking back at the old videos just so I can appreciate how far he has come. Hopefully he can continue
@@5ryans He's comfortable with being 350lbs and does not want to lose any more. He lost the minimum amount his surgeon said he would with putting zero work into it. Nothing to be impressed about.
My wife just called me from Sam's Club telling me about this arcade cabinet I never heard of. Thanks for this video. Just called her back to snag the last one in stock!
I think the best part of having a home arcade like this would be just walking by the room and seeing all the game over screens doing their thing. Nerd gasm every time probably.
Damn... that is cool! Love all the control options built in. However, I’m an Atari kid... but those 2600 versions are not going to appeal to most arcade fans.
I know right? I haven't played Centipede w/ a track ball or Tempest w/ a spinner (maybe ever?). Sam's Club version is $100 less and comes w/ the namco arcade blast (not the crappy one, the new arcade versions one). Looking forward to this and playing w/ my son, this will be our first arcade cab...
I don't know...I would argue a lot of old school arcade fans were also Atari 2600 owners...I mean, that was more or less the original idea of the 2600 was the ability to play arcade games in the comfort of your home (albeit mostly crappy ports). Maybe we're a rare breed, but I love classic arcade games AND the 2600.
Wonderful to see you finally got your hands on one of these! AtGames is crushing it right now with the Legends Ultimate! It's also the crown Jewel of my arcade collection. Can't stop making RUclips videos about it :)
Boogie, first off, so happy to see how far you’ve come from the early days of the channel, you should be very proud of yourself. On the second note though, that’s a pretty damn cool machine.
Arcadenet allows you to play those games with the cloud with another friend that has another Legends system. A lot of folks are already using it. Try it.
I seen Star Wars and my heart skipped a beat, I’ve always loved Star Wars, but usually the weeks leading up to a new movie I think I’m IN LOVE with Star Wars lol
@@MaxxMinton if youre not talking about the same thing then you just showed why your comment is pointless. youre comparing something thats $600 or less to something thats a thousand or thousands. when i go looking for a new car, im searching for a toyota camry or a honda accord, not a tesla.
The advantage of the 1UP systems is that you can have dedicated cabinets for games that use specialized joysticks, like 720 or the rotary sticks used on Heavy Barrel and Time Soldiers. 720 is one of the my all time favorite arcades, but it's an arcade that just HAS to be played with that unique stick.
Thanks Boogie, this was really informative. I was only saying recently an arcade system like this would be ideal where you could update and add games...
I saw this video and was excited at first, but became skeptical when i realized it was made by Atgames. Having watched this review of it though, and looking at all of it's capabilities,it looks very promising for someone who can only have just one cabinet. Certainly something i'm going to look into for the future.
Hey boogie i love your videos new to the channel have been following you for a while. I love that you have changed so much. You remind me of when i was young and you make me have hope in humanity.
I do quite a bit of work with stand up Arcade games. I actually own a 12 in one system that is pretty good. The screen is small, but the games all work well and it is exactly what I expected it to be.. However, many of the problems you identified are common for any of the newer stand up game systems. I always recommend buying the actual game if possible. They are out there and are still working. And usually you can find them at a decent price between 500 and 1,000 dollars. If you must by a newer stand up Arcade, always check the game list. Always check the measurement dimensions. Always check the screen size. These are the areas that manufacturers cut corners. I just looked at a table game system and a video pinball system that are unplayable because of the size.
Awesome collection of arcade cabinets boogie. I wonder if ATgames acquired a bulk license for these games and that's why they have the console version with the arcade version, also I get the Atari 2600 licences were probably dirt cheap or even public domain by now. Still looks like an interesting system with potential grow in the future.
For the 4 player games like turtles & the simpsons you can play with 4 people. The 2 controllers on the arcade for players 1 & 2 then get a USB hub & play with 2 USB Controllers for your Add On Games. You can also use your USB Controllers for Steam in the BYOG when you stream for free from your PC. Some steam games you need the extra buttons that the arcade controls won’t have all the buttons so that’s when the USB Controllers come in handy. This Arcade is pretty awesome. I was also hearing the next firmware update you can pair your Raspberry pi through Bluetooth and will be able to use the arcades Controllers for both players 1 & 3 along with the Trackball & Spinner. Their is a lot of options with this machine & Atgames is listening to the community like you were saying improving it with every firmware update. I’ve had this for a month already & they have been rolling out firmware update after firmware update showing they really want this to be the Best!!!
I made a retro arch box with lakka and can play everything up to PlayStation on it. They sell USB controllers for just about every console, including arcade game pads. For the cost of an old mini PC and USB controllers you can have a box that does everything retro right on your TV. I don't endorse piracy so be sure to own original copies of the games you use on retro arch ;).
$19 per month to stream 28 ancient games compared to $12 per month to get 10 semi new games permanently with Humble Choice if you're already subscribed when it was still Humble Monthly.
I purchased this cabinet for my birthday ($499 at Sam's club). I have had little problems with it. The 350 games that come with it are decent, but I added my own games to it. The problem that I see with reviews like this, is they look at what is in front of them, and don't see the possibilities. I now have a cabinet with over 750 games on it, ranging from Atari 2600, NES, SNES, Genesis, and Arcade games. It was worth the $499 to buy it, instead of building a new computer to stick in a box, which would have cost so much more.
Dont get me wrong it's amazing and I'd get one but there is something about having your own arcade with all the games you pumped countless tokens into. This is more of a good addition to all the 1up arcade machines
It's to bad that you can't just order the games you want on the unit. It would be easier for people like you & me, old school gamers. But it would be a nightmare for the company if you know what I'm trying to say. Great review. Keep'em coming, Chris from Missouri

Just think of how much you save on your power bill with this product over the Arcade 1-up. Also, it's only 1 cabinet, yet you can put any arcade game you want on it. Arcade 1-up is just a few games a unit. Space is a precious thing to many people, so this cabinet is definitely a no-brainer. You're quite the salesman Boogie :).
You’d think that, but the online high score boards with weekly contests have really made the replay value on this machine huge. What’s more, tomorrow they are giving owners an additional 47 Taito arcade games that will download to the hard drive with latest firmware update.
Sorry AssGames, I mean AtGames, but I can't trust you after all you've done. Again, you're putting Atari 2600 games on this instead of Arcade versions. If another company does a system like this, I'm willing to listen and maybe buy it.
