Mike a lot of valuable info on door rubber the other stuff they want crazy money for it. This is a big help when finishing a bus, fyi i reached out to Wolfgang International last week and ordered a set of thier safari window kits for my 67 deluxe bus need to keep our good vw suppliers doors open.
Thank you for the excellent tip on the seals! I've struggled several times with the original style seals for the doors and it's a big job to say the least. Your bus is looking really good. The original parts shined up great and really look nice. Thank you for the video 👍
You certainly know your rubbers, Mike 😁 after all the disassembling you have had to do, it’s great to see stuff going back in and onto the bus. What’s she called then? Is it time for a comp where you ask your subs to name her? Winner gets to keep her?! 😉
Fantastic tips and hint...I’m off to research generic deals in Australia. The bus look awesome, after colour sanding and buffing it will be stunning. Wish it was mine (yes, I covet)...
all the replacement ones are generic seals said to fit on a vw bus anyway. None of them work correctly. wolfsburg west cargo doors seals are way too stiff. the original seals were a light foam with sort of a plastic coating on them. there is nothing else like that.
