THANK YOU!!
The thing about Tre Cool
#reaction #drumming #trecool
Which Drummer should we check out next? 🤘
Austin Archey (Lorna Shore) is my pick. Guy is insane, and he has plenty of playthrough videos of just him on the kit that are prime for analysis!
I am once again requesting Brann Dailor lol he’s also a complete goofball
The drums in the breakdown in Welcome To Paradise... the drumming in Somewhere Now, the solo in Missing You, the ending fills to Tales Of Another Broken Home... he's so fantastic.
I just love the fact that they're a band that actually brings back drum solos. Like the fact that Bang Bang had one, and I know it's just a fill but the drums in American Idiot are as iconic as the guitar riff.
That's a really great point!
It's one of the reasons I love Green Day so much. They've been my very favorite band / artist(s), no contest at all, for 20 years. I love Billie Joe's vocals, but I love Tré's loud, distinctive drumming almost as much. I can't think of another band where the drums carry such a presence of their own. They're like a second singer, they're that vital to Green Day's sound. Other bands just carry a beat, something you can almost forget, or else try too hard to hammer away quickly. But Tré is just perfect
Tre’ has always been hilarious! Always have a special place in my heart for Green Day
Me too!
Tre Cool's drum solo on _"BANG BANG!"_ is also some absolute ear candy. Like, I have to rewind and re-listen 3x times, minimum.
Ooooh good shout! I wish I thought of this when filming haha
@@RaynaVandel It’s all good! There’s just so many good examples of Tre - you could make a video thats hours long on the guy alone - so it’s understandable that you wouldn’t have _everything._
Bang Bang is my favorite song! Unfortunately I can't play that solo on drums tho 😅
Burnout's solo is the greatest solo ever. That entire song is great and sets the perfect tone for the rest of the album.
It really does set the tone for that album perfectly! one of my all time favourte albums!
@@RaynaVandelMy first CD and still my favorite :)
welcome to paradise is better i feel like
@OTZI_BOI I will always disagree with that.
@@waynepalumbo8917 WHAT???
I remember him dropping his stick in Green Day's Woodstock '99 performance of "Paper Lanterns". It's not too noticeable but it's there
I definitely attribute some of the crazy/spastic energy on stage from bands like Green Day. Fucking love those dudes.
tre is an absolute animal and very underrated! He prefers being low key imo!
I agree that he's underrated!
I was ready to throw hands reading the title lol
Gotcha 😜
I think the drums in burnout, panic song, and welcome to paradise show just how skilled he is
Totally 💯
great topic idea, wish i thought of it.
I would argue Tré is actually a very technical drummer but he also knows when to just keep it steady for the sake of the song
DUDE... HAUSHINKA!!!
Omg yes!!
He does get way less recognition than he deserves
Agreed!
i love how you say that it was tre cool who made you want to be in a band--i remember being 13, and i was a musician, but not a string musician quite yet, and i was playin green day rock band with my best friend who played the guitar, and i turned to her and said something stupid cheesy like "i wanna be the mike dirnt to your billie joe" and i started learning bass that day, and later that year we started a band together. and over 10 years later, bass guitar is still MY instrument. you're so right--green day might not be the most technical musicians, but goddamn do they make you want to play music with other people.
That's such an awesome story! Thank you for sharing ✌
Wow what a nice shirt 😊
Good video, mate!
Keeping the bass drum going with quarters/8ths is such a classic rock move.
Haha was wondering if you'd spot that 🤣
me playing Platypus or Jaded song when i still have a band with my friends back in year 2000. my gosh! holy hell! instant cramps in both my hands and my right legs after playing that song! 😂. Tré Cool is the only person that makes me want to play the drums. my numero uno musician ever! 😍💯
That's so awesome 🤟
Tre is like punk keith moon
Tighest drummer ever. Not flashy or over the top. Tre cool would probably make it into the top 20 drummers for the reason that he lays down simple but GOOD beats
Yeah he's so solid!!
11:00 - you can see with the snare hits - he is a friggin machine. Every hit sounds exactly the same.
Father of all is also a great drumming track. one of my favourite songs
Fact is Tre is a really, really good drummer. I'd imagine that there are plenty of people who aren't into Green Day would agree with me on that.
tre cool would actually play the joker pretty well tbh lol
Haha I'd love to see that
Did the title mean to say Biggest JOKER??? I almost didn't click on the video because it says JOKE and I thought it was going to make fun of him.
BTW the improvisation is not obvious at all :) so no worries.
Also - if you're not following @Rayna Vandel, you're doing everything wrong. (SO GO OUT AND SMASH IT! ... the follow button that is) :)
YASSSSS
The late great Tyler Hawkins or Tommy lee .. maybe you could also show the up and coming young talented Nandi bushell she’s absolutely amazing .. great upload .. green day are and always be my favourite band tfs 🥁🥁🥁
Good suggestions. I wouldn't do a video on Nandi out of principle as i personally know her andh er family and it would be awks haha! Glad you enjoyed the video :)
@@RaynaVandel thank you .. wow that’s amazing you know Nandi she’s amazing .. I take my hat off to any drummer .. keep up with the great uploads 😊
@@Emmawilliams83 thank you so much!
@@RaynaVandel 🤘🙌🤘
I've never heard of this guy before - is he well known?
