Ey Ola!, do you know someone who likes Dimebag? From Sweden? With his own guitar brand? Maybe he would be interested in send one guitar to this wonderful guitar lady...
I must say I am most impressed by the way you do not stare at the fretboard like every other guitar player including myself. It seriously looks like you're enjoying what you're doing which is really nice!
@@beanbaked2831 - So...she learned the exact positioning on the fretboard, learned the timing with both hands and recorded a fake track so that what?....she gets a few hundred thousand hits? That's not worth it! So unless you have some type of irrefutable proof of this, I would say you're just jealous that YOU can't do it.
You make it look so easy and those licks are not for the faint of heart. Your fingers are so fluid…you are a blessed individual…I’m so jealous, I wish I could play like that. Fantastic!!!!!!
Outrageous. That you play with so little effort yet with great precision shows how 1. Gifted you are, 2. Disciplined to sit and study these solos and get them exactly right. Just incredible. I’m 56, been playing since 8 and always dreamed of playing like this. Haha! Was never gonna happen. Didn’t have the mind or patience. Yet, you have the ‘chip’, as they say, and the mind & patience. Well done!!
if you have been playing since you were 8 years old and your 56 now then guitar is just not for you because jesus christ dude, i have been playing for a year and a half and i can play the cowboys from hell solo.
Impressive! I love how you play like Dimebag so accurately and looking & smiling at the camera so confidently, that was crazy! Congrats and keep up the great performances.
Your picking technique is smooth like butter 😮 The way you angle your left hand reminds me so much of Dime 🙏🏼 I'm sure he'd be hella proud of you! Keep rockin'! 🤘🏽
Wow!! That was sooo good. I love how you made it unique and just worked it out. Your guitar voice, the nuance of your style, or bone tone-your presence over the licks really shines. There aren't a lot of great Pantera covers to watch. This made me smile :)
I just discovered you, I play a bit myself don't really like metal music much, but I am in amazement of the skill level displayed here. I love this,am a fan, you have won a fan, love it. soo cool, so good.
The amount of "eye contact" with the camera is both awkward and exceptionally confident! That, coupled with the ability and the content, is what keeps me coming back!
I just wanted you to know that I'm listening to cauliflower crust while toasted and its transporting me into another dimension... oh and the solo was sick as always, I think this is probably one people have been waiting for
@@KaylaKent What an interesting combination of things in that song. It's like a 90s dream pop band hired an 80s shred guitarist and made music intended to be broadcast in the alternate dimension where that was a normal thing. Very cool.
Just found this channel a few minutes ago. Had to subscribe! I love that you’ve covered songs like P.S.T 88 and how you improvise parts in solos. Well done!
Absolutely incredible. Dimebag Donna back at it again with another mind blowing, accurate cover of a sensational solo. You never cease to amaze me, And you continue to pleasantly surprise me with your covers. Never stop being you! Darrel would be proud! Dimebag Donna will melt your mind with her insane covers. Can’t wait to see more!
Being a guitar player since I was 12 and I’m 51 now , you have a god given talent , to play so effortless and with great vibrato and picking technique, well done ma’am 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 Dime would be proud “ getcha pull “
Wrong. He did write many not so great solos but he certainly has some brilliant and memorable ones too. It was fitting for Slayer. He can also play more melodic and technical guitar too. There's a reason Dave Mustaine wanted him in Megadeth, and it wasn't because he sucks.
You do a very good job on this early Pantera classic and I like how you threw in a few of your own licks. This is the song & vid in spring of '91 that made me a fan for life. R.I.P. Dime & Vinnie.
You're amazing! Keep it up. I don't know how you shred so hard and look so pleasant while doing it, but it's incredibly fun to watch you smile while you riff heavy.
In the midst of a face-melting performance of that solo that threatened to unfasten my very soul all I can see is that simple beautiful smile. 😂 You’re the real deal Kayla!
Best I've seen someone on RUclips play the song! Thanks Kayla! I appreciate that you took such care in recreating my favorite band in high school! 😘😘😘 I'll NEVER forget when they roared out with the Cowboys album! Yeah, we had Metallica already, and they ARE great too, but Pantera is STILL in a class of its own! Can you guys & dolls imagine if Dime was still here, writing more new riffs? RIP DIME!!! Thank you for giving us your heart, & soul Brother Dime!!! Forever Stronger than ALL!!!!
I’m 34 years old and since I was 11 when I got my first album Pantera reinventing The Steel had me buying a guitar weeks later Dimes inspiration was such a strong influence on me that I haven’t felt inspiration as good as much as I did when I discovered the band until Kayla Kent came out of nowhere and blew I guarantee all guitar players away with her skills and Dime will always be it for me but as far as living players famous or not I give the award of best shredder to Kayla Kent you are so awesome! 🤘🤘 I hope to see you on tour one day haha

Damn, that was really good! As a Pantera fan since their album, I think you did really well! And you were so calm and relaxed, while sitting down while doing that....impressive!

Your left hand vibrato is excellent. This is often overlooked but really goes a long way when paying tribute to such a classic solo

I like how you blend the album style solo with your understanding of Dime’s playing. Amazing as always 🔥

Yes, absolutely!!!
Yeah, it's probably the best kind of covers if you ask me. Like you said, it's clear that she gets where dime comes from in this. 👍
Your effortless control over the guitar (and a sick one at that!), personal lucidity and how well you nail the Dimebag nuance is wicked!
