    Great tips. Can’t believe I did t not know this trick. That said, I still prefer the Mac numbers way of doing it. Basically a canvas with multiple/unlimited number of spreadsheets on it. This also solved the problem of cell sizes being off when cells above or below are wider or more narrow. It’s a cleaner design.

    Great tip.
    One thing to watch out for on the second window (unless Microsoft has changed this behavior lately): Any freeze panes on any tab set in the workbook disappear from the - 2 version. And if you close the -1 version before the -2 version, you have to reset all of those. Hopefully, Microsoft will address this, but probably not (unless they already have, in which case I will gladly be wrong).

    • @ExcelCampus
      @ExcelCampus  5 лет назад +1

      Hey Jack, Thanks for mentioning this! Unfortunately that is still the case. I'm working on a follow-up video with a macro that will set the freeze panes, gridlines, and headings on the new window for each sheet. And another macro to close additional windows. It will save time and help prevent this issue. The video should be out this week. Thanks again! :-)

      Hi Eko, Great question! I do have training on this in my courses. We can use Power Query (www.excelcampus.com/powerquery/power-query-overview/) to make this process really easy. I go into more detail on how to combine data from worksheets and workbooks. I will create/share a RUclips video in the future that covers the basics to help get you started. Thanks again! 🙂

    Great start but I was making changes to both worksheets and actually linking them via "=worksheet1!C3" kind of thing. It didn't give the way to save the changes to both WSs in the same workbook.

  • @anchoimaimai
    @anchoimaimai 5 лет назад +1

    If you make changes in both windows, then they both will also sync and update both windows? And then when you close it, the file is update into 1 file or do you now have 2 different files?

    • @ExcelCampus
      @ExcelCampus  5 лет назад

      Hi Robert,
      Yes, that is correct. Any changes made to the file will be reflected in BOTH windows. You do NOT have to update both windows. If you are working in split screen view then you will see those changes reflected immediately in the additional window(s). It does not matter which window you make the changes in. I hope that helps.
