This really reminds me of Cave Story, but maybe it's just because I haven't listened to that much chiptune

I'm trying to learn to make music. Any kind will do. Where should I start in your professional opinion? Not even joking :(

Music composition / production basically you asking the same question over and over: “Does it sound good?”
Chances are that you already have your opinions about music since you probably like listening to it in your free time. Now that you know what you like, the next step is to understand why you like it.
The best way I found to learn is to recreate or transcribe songs or tracks that you like. When you do this, you learn the techniques that are used to make those sounds. If you don’t know why something sounds good, then you may want to look at someone else’s analysis of that track. When you know what you like, take note of it. Over time, you may start to understand what aspects of music that you enjoy. If you understand what you like, you will have an easier time making music because you have an idea of what to do.
I have so much more to say so I'm writing an essay about it and I'll tell you when it's done.

@@oranjate Wow, I'm in awe. I didn't expect you to answer so quickly. If you truly are writing an essay, here is one reader for it :d.
Basically I listen like 10h per day music, because I have really bad tinnitus. I need music for sleeping and concentrating etc.
Why I'm asking, is that I'm turning 30 in December, and I'm atm trying to learn my first instrument, guitar (really original, ikr).
Since I have never played any instrument, nor done anything music related, I feel like I'm kinda "trapped" with my inspirations xP.
I don't think that I'm a hidden music savant without instrument or anything like that, but I really regret that I didn't spend any time earlier trying to learn about how it's made, instead of only consuming it.
Here was my essay, and big apologies for making such a convoluted mess of a comment/question. ^^'

@@Garnsta Don't feel guilty for not learning earlier. Many of the best creators are consumers themselves. They are so good at what they do because they see what everyone else is doing and take inspiration from it.
