No problem! I will say that if it gets real sloppy as a whole then I’ll pause the drill for a second for a quick reset. But if it’s a couple players then the drill continues and they’ll get subbed out to their position coach for some coaching
We don’t yo-yo our 7on7 but the tempo is still the same in between plays. We keep the ball on the 40 going in. Some days we’ll move the ball up five yards and on different hashmarks after every rep so they get used to receiving the signs while the ball is getting set.
Depends on your system. Some coaches associate plays with specific words, and other coaches use a numbering system for their run schemes. Either way you'll need to communicate 4 things: 1) formation 2) any motion or shifts 3) run scheme or pass pro 4) play / concept and direction How that is communicated to your players is completely up to you and your players.
Great video coach. Would you consider doing a video demonstrating some examples of what the signals you are communicating to your players look like during no huddle/uptempo plays?
Hey Aron, thanks for watching. I’ve thought about putting a video together but I know my competitors watch these videos and I don’t want to reveal how we communicate to them. Best advice I can give you is to keep it simple, make it easy to understand, and get a ton of reps so that your kids don’t have to think twice about what was called.
This is good stuff coach! I've always wondered how to practice no huddle efficiently and this seems like a great way!
It’s a great way to establish the tempo that you want to play at and get a ton of reps. It’s been good for me. Is your offense no huddle / uptempo?
@@TheSpreadOffense No because I wasn't sure how to effectively practice it. Now I feel confident moving forward with it, thank you!

Hey Coach - do you so the same drill also with your passing game?

No problem!
What does the play call sound like
