If you mean a chromatic button accordion, usually with five rows, I don't think it would matter if you are proficient on the system. I think it would work equally well on piano or chromatic button accordion. Thanks for the reply, I have been thinking about learning accordion but the two that i have have problems with the reeds and bellows. I was thinking about getting a chromatic button accordion but they’re a little pricier than the piano accordions.
@@Obnoxiouswolf2 I think it is wonderful that you are thinking of learning to play the accordion. There is no great advantage to learn the chromatic button accordion rather than the piano accordion especially if you have some piano experience. It is easier to buy music for piano accordion as well. If you did want to pursue the button accordion I suggest you try one before buying. The piano is such a universal instrument because the piano keyboard works well musically. I would not consider the chromatic accordion unless you have a teacher to guide you along. There are some nuances with the chromatic that you would have to overcome. For example, the piano keyboard is linear, straight up and down; the chromatic keyboard is spatial, in addition to the linear aspect, there is depth to deal with.
