It's not that bad, he's just unable to hit the deep note because of the adrenaline/nerves/whatever. Reason he probably don't run about is because he's nervous and people think that's just his style.

Shockingly good tune probably no one expected from solo Ian at the point when he's about to end his musical career after Roses' disasterous ending.
