- The transfer window hasn’t even opened, but already one of the sagas of the summer looks concluded; the future of Jude Bellingham.
Amid an unlikely Bundesliga title charge with Borussia Dortmund, it’s been reported that the English sensation is on the brink of a blockbuster move to Real Madrid, for a fee that could soar over €120m once negotiations are concluded.
The capture of Bellingham would be a major win for Los Blancos given he is also wanted by Manchester City. If he joins, the 19-year-old will join Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde as part of a new-look midfield, destined to replace the Modric and Kroos collaboration that has dominated European football for so long.
It is not only the midfield where Los Merengues have future proofed. The squad is brimming with elite young talent, ensuring the clubs insatiable appetite for silverware will rumble on for another decade at least.

The reason rm's this strategy is successful is because they get young great players when the old guard is still there so they can learn n not get pressurized immediately,
Only vini jr struggled because ronaldo left n he had to play all games at rm , when it was planned to get him into squad slowly , great to see him turn things around.
It also helps that RM inevitably has the "pull" which gave them leverage regardless if the other clubs in Europe has unlimited amount of funds. Quite frankly, I don't think they really took away the "Galaticos" policy, they just learn, adapt & evolve the strats. In a way, make their next generation of "Galaticos" or should I like to call them "Hidden-Galaticos" with these young players.

Sure, that's true. But still, after those 5 seasons, he literally stopped trying. Wanted to play golf more than football, and even worse.. decided to run down the contract while not playing at all. He was worth during those 5 seasons, but what he did after that completely destroyed any good will he had. Besides, he never actually had a great season when he was fit throughout. He'd play for 3 months and then get injured, and be gone for 2. This kept repeating in his entire Real career

Finally a respectful barca you can talk with lol. Most of us Madridistas honestly envy your youth development program as well. The problem you guys seem in Barca is that they seem to be unable to be stable enough to be a team for their youth to grow. It's like every year there are stars they sign that starts up to the team ahead of the young talent but doesn't really match their playing identity. Causing them not only money but waste the development of their players. While RMs problem is that they do develop their young talents well too, but they don't rate them much and just sell them. I remember Modric’s first season, it was like a disaster. He was actually voted as one of the worst transfers in the league, but just by his movement and control you could see there’s something there. I tried to find something tin Jovic too but I couldn’t. He missed way too many chances for Madrid’s quality that’s just shows he probably stopped working hard, easy as that.
Juni Calafat's scouting has been special ever since he joined Madrid in 2014. Despite the fact that most of these youngsters were well known, it was he who pushed through these deals. Best examples are Rodrygo and Vini who were approached by Barcelona before Madrid. Kroos was a steal for Madrid as well as Di Mari who was later sold for 3x the price that Madrid bought him for.

I think that how happy players are at madrid is key. All these youngsters love the club, they learn it from the veterans: Modric, Kroos, Benzema, Casemiro, Marcelo, etc. Many of them could perhaps make more money in PSG or the premier league, but there's nowehere they will be as happy as in Madrid. In other clubs you face ego duels between players, bad relationship with the manager, toxic fans, etc.
Madrid fans can be toxic though, they booed club legends like Bale, had a terrible farewell for Casillas, etc…
@@jasonschafer4723 Yes, there are toxic fans everywhere. However, Casilla's case was special because most of us fans were very angry with the club with how we left. Bale had some moments when the relationship with the fans was not good, but I think he's probably one of the exceptions for the last few years.

Its not that their transfer strategy is unique, buying young top talents is what many clubs do, but what actually makes Real Madrid so great and get the best talent is the simple fact that every player in the world, wether its a 16 year old in the academy or an established player, everyone wants to play for Real Madrid, they have it seeded in everyones minds that their dream is to play for them.
So its that simple, when you have everyone in the world new and old wanting to play for you, you essentially have the world as your factory and you can pick and choose who you want, in this case they’re choosing young talent that has the prospects of becoming world class, good scouting to find those players is all you need, but the real impact is that everyone dream to play their, it makes it simple to bring players in

Bale was not a failure at all he more than repaid his costs and fees by DIRECTLY winning them 2 champions leagues by scoring winning goals that decided those two finals. Ungrateful club. Against Athletico and Liverpool finals.
If you follow Bale week in week out you’ll also be frustrated with the player. His contribution in the finals will always be in history but in the leagues he was few and far between, often lacking drive and commitment. The only great overall season of his is only 2014-15, his first season. He was capable of so much more, despite his achievements.

I agree some of the things he’s done made some fans angry like taking a nap on bench but can’t be labeled a failure at all but it’s also that he was disappointed because little playing time last couple of years.

I don’t care much about off the pitch antics as long as you perform week in week out. His iconic goals in the finals including CdR will always make him club legend though. He’s definitely not a failure but not a complete success either.
I love our current young core as well as the old guard. Although lately not as much, Carvajal frustrates me. Especially in La Liga. But aside from that and Militao losing focus in La Liga games not many complaints. The team is amazing and only getting better. We definitely need a right back and striker signing next season but everything else looks taken care of.

I always wanted a top class team that could purchase young stars that don't have to sell after a couple of years because of financial reasons like Dortmund, Monaco or similar clubs... Real Madrid can afford to purchase 6 50+mn prospects, to wait until 3 of them succeed and sell the other 3. That's a $300mn investment in return of 3 100+ worth superstars and 3 players that could be sold for similar value than they bought them. A very, very smart move. The renovations of the Bernabeu were funded by a loan which will be paid off by their partnership with Legends. The legends deal is a guaranteed €400m a year. Madrid has money to spend on galacticos but want to do so only for the right galactico. The problem for Madrid now is that La liga has become a two team league. Before when there was a strong Valencia, Deportivo etc I used to love the La liga. Now it's the most boring league of the top 5 leagues besides the French league.
