Actually most people don't know but the most famous Indian music instrument in ancient India was a harp or specifically an arched harp which was known as vina in ancient times but today the veena become some different instrument but earlier it was an arched or bowed harp which was a divine musical instruments but now are extinct. There are various other instruments which became extinct throughout indian history but the fun fact is that the harps used in ancient china was actually introduced by india. I wish these ancient instrument come back and give us opportunity to hear the divine melodies. Also there was a ancient instrument known as yazd in tamil nadu which is also a harp and also became extinct.
These are some comman one! Chordophnes- Sitar,Surood,Sarangi,Veena,Santoor,Tanpura Airophone- Basuri, Shenai, Been, Harmonium, Shankh Idophones- khartal Membrophens- Dholak, tabla, Damru! Among all of them, Tabla, dholak, Basuri is something a 5 year old can recognise!
No doubt Sitar, Santoor, Harmonium, Bansoori, Tabla, Dholak, Mrudungah are best sounding Indian Instruments And there are lots of Popular Indian instruments that are missing in this video
Yes, it can be. Generally, morning a plucked idiophone in which the lamella is mounted in a small frame, and the player's open mouth serves as a resonance chamber. (A plucked idiophone in which the lamella is mounted in a small frame; the player's mouth serves as a resonance chamber.)
As a lil girl😍😅 I thought the shahk was just a sea shell I never knew that it was an actual instrument....I was soooo facinated with it in the movies that as a kid whenver i went to the beach i was just collecting shells or looking for the shell itself then blowing into them😂😂
