You are never alone Norah. We are with you.

@Leandro Gerardo Yup, I've been using Flixzone} for since december myself :D
@@marcosrabina7404 (talk to me of) mendocino
A person you don't know on the other side of the world right now feels great feelings and you achieve it. you are great thank you :)
I wasn't able to hear you when you came to Paris. Now you come directly in my house. How awesome is this?
Thank you very much for your art!
What a courageous artist. Norah does these performances without any of the little crutches other artists use. Just voice, instrument and camera - nowhere to hide!
Seems to be the same for Norah to be on stage or at home ... this honesty of music with nothing to hide is touching ... because she herself lets herself be touched by the music she sings and plays. Thank you Norah, thanks a million ...
you can really tell she loves to sing and play her heart out- the little weekly concerts she posts show that. I don’t know if this made me the way I am, but her music is most likely the first I’ve ever heard. I’ve got her sound running through my veins :)
It’s really nice to have these to listen to. Thank you for sharing your gift, Norah :)
Another great performance. Love for her craft is beyond question. Thanks Norah for what you give to us every week. Love you.
Same dude, my parents listened to Come Away With Me when I was born, and 18 years later I'm probably a bigger fan than they are now!
@@jacobweeks777 My daughter was born to the song "Rosie" by Tom Waits. There is a very special meaning to music when a child is born. Your parents have excellent t musical taste!
@@jacobweeks777 mine did too, and I think I am a bigger fan of her than mine are now as well. I’m 17. I remember I drew her once, and i asked my mom if she recognized the subject. She didn’t recognize the face until I told her who’s it was, but the reason I brought this up is because she said something along the lines of Norah being more of a memory than a face to her. I thought that was a really beautiful response, as even though I like to think of that drawing as a pretty accurate recreation of the picture it was based off of, her not knowing the face implied that she knew Norah more from her sound and the way her songs made her feel than her appearance. I also like to think of Come Away With Me as a link between her and I that brings us even closer than we are, which is really beautiful when you consider the fact that music gives humans a deeper connection to the mind and the environment than any other thing can (including words). Sorry for these long comments- I love to write. Thanks for reading it all.
@@DavidTaylorGo.Go.Go. I am really glad my mom chose such a profound soundtrack to the beginning of my life, and I truly think I will never, ever lose my deep connection to these songs and this artist. I already love soft, jazzy music, so knowing that it has more of a connection to me than I thought at one point is really nice to think about. it is a strange feeling to feel nostalgic towards a time you don’t remember, though...
Norah Jones is on my list of concerts to see when this covid is over +1
You have the ability to touch souls. Your energy is transmitted through time and space. All of us who admire you know that. Thank you for sharing your Art, Norah. Greetings from Patagonia Argentina
🙏
Never as at peace as I am when I hear Norah sing. Sitting here with my dog Sammie just letting the sounds wash over!
Hey Sammie
That smile returns, thank God. The music is just a bonus.
Norah is so sweet
For many and many years.
We are millions and millions people
Who have been loving her
With all these years spent together.
Et ça ne s'arrêtera jamais
And it will never ends
Thank You Norah, it´s always a pleasure to hear your uplifting voice!
Thank you Nora! I love these nuggets of wonderful music, I work in Healthcare in NYC and it is nice to listen to your soulful voice and piano or guitar. It takes me to a calm place a bit of respite during the day to day craziness. Thank you, thank you 🥰 Steve
All the best to you on the frontlines. We're thankful for you all! HUGS
Norah Jones is like a glass of red wine at the end of a very long day 🎵🍷😊
After 2 sessions on guitar Norah roars back on the Piano dressed like a Cuban general but playing all jazz (with the exception of Joe Cocker and Mad Dog Englishman's brilliant Space Captain song) proving that she can wear so many hats and always be the best!
That Space Captain will be played on repeat forever. Thankful for NOJO
If anyone on here would like to know Norah does this live on Facebook at around 3 pm cst just check her out and if you can't she is here now
How do I get to see it live if I'm not on Facebook?
@@thedeskofamy2049 I don't know if you can because that is where it is originally done from. It is a Facebook live event.
@ Andy Collins, I'd prefer to stay off Facebook, so I'll catch Norah here then. Thank you and stay well
@@thedeskofamy2049 I totally understand
Thank you Norah... Today is my mom's 84th birthday and she has been seriously ill. I am heartbroken over this. My stomach is in knots because I love my little mom with every little bit of love I have inside of me.
Norah, your voice has taken me away from pain, even if just for a few moments, your voice gives me solace and hope.
Thank you.
Hi Norah, What a beautiful arrangement you did for Mendocino, one of my all time favorite songs. I have to admit, your version brought tears to my eyes. You are so very sweet to keep us all grounded during these unusual trying times. Thank you so much for your precious time. I hope you and your family are staying well. Stay safe. Love to you.
there is something about your playing and singing that just opens a portal for me... it's amazing. This has been true since 2002. thank you
She needs to be careful with that. Take "back to the future" or "the time bandits" for example. Shit can get real messy.
+100! Nora has the magnetism of her voice: I never stop listening to her songs :)
Just what my tired soul needed today. Thank you, Norah🙏😌❤️
She’s a hell of a pianist!!! I love “Never hurts to be alone “ on so many levels. Bravo
This is why i love her so much. She sings to us all the time. Fan for life. Her music is breakfast, bathrobe, holding a cup of coffee with two hands for the heat and staring out the window to start your day.
Ah, what a nice concert! My favorite of this group is The Nearness of You, with her bluesy piano and smoky vocals. To me, this is the kind of song she does best. As a composer she's also quite prolific, as represented here by Hurts to be Alone. I still wish she could balance her vocals better in the recording, as it tends to drowned out somewhat by the piano here (which is superb, by the way). One doesn't hear all the subtleties she adds in her voice as she interprets the songs. Thanks again for the wonderful concerts--the comments by listeners show the appreciation she has earned for entertaining us so well in these awful times.
Realmente hermoso, mi más profunda admiración, cariños desde Argentima
After reading all about the ignorance, hatred and unbelievable stupidity out there in our country today, I listen to your beautiful music and see sunshine in the distance.........still a ways off, but at least it’s starting to be visible! Thanks Norah! Peace to you and your family!
I was just listening to Norah's father this morning and marveling at his preternatural ability to mesmerize. Like father like daughter. DNA is a mysterious thing!
Your talent goes far beyond the sound of your voice. When you can calm the chaos of the soul, well, it's a gift. Thank you for sharing what God has blessed you with. Blessings to you, your family, and crew too.
Lovely to hear Kate McGarrigle's song again, one of my favourites!
Sim, sua voz ecoa aqui no Brasil... obrigada 😊
Bela Norah🌻💜
🇧🇷
I don't know if she will ever read these words, but Norah Jones has made a big impact upon my life. So it's a very good thing for me to see that Norah is keeping busy, and singing her songs. Well, if you ever read this Norah, I want you to know that your wonderful, and I think you are the best singer in the world today, if not ever.
I don't say that lightly and I know music like a lot of things is subjective. But you probably have no idea how many dark and horrible places you have pulled people out of, just with your voice and your talented fingers. You truly have a wonderful gift, Norah.
I have been a fan of yours for half my life, since I was 18. I live in the UK, in a city called Worcester. There's a Worcester over there as well I am told, but the one I live in is the prototype, I suppose. For want of a more fitting word. We live more than 3000 miles away in the world, there's a big sea and everything. But this is the power of your gift, Norah. In 2004 I suffered a horrible loss and that almost ended me. Without getting too personal someone very important to me died and it sent me into a very dark and miserable place, and I saw no way out.
But I had your first two albums with me. Well that same year in a bid to take my mind off what had happened, the folks I lived with sent me off on a trip. They called it a residential, kind of like work experience meets a culture exchange. But the truth of it is nothing could get me out of the dark, save for the CD's I had taken with me, and 9 times out of 10 if I had to guess, it was your albums I turned to. They were my only respite in a world of unbearable grief. At a time when the only thought in my mind was how much of a contradiction it was, that I was supposed to be making new friends and experiancing life, which should be exciting for a 20 year old young man as I was back then, when all I could see was the unbearable monolith of grief that confounded me. That probably sounds really cliche, but thats how it was.
And your music got me through that where nothing else did. Whats more I have followed your career since 2002. First hearing Don't know why on the radio and using a tape [yes a tape] to record that song. I had to wait more than a month to find out your name, Norah. But when I did, I found out that you are someone really special. I have almost all of your albums except for the last, which I intend to get very soon. And I have watched you live in concert two times at the Manchester Apollo. And both times you were something else, something beyond good. And in life I have seen so many things change, so many people change. I have been betrayed by best friends I thought I would know for ever, and lost touch with people for years, some that caused me great regret. But you always remain the same. Not in life, obviously thats a journey no one is immune to. But you stayed the same brilliant, wonderful, incredibly talented Norah Jones. To all intents and purposes, you are the soundtrack to my life, and like that I never want it to end, or you. Yet beyond all that, I feel that you are a woman of great integrity and I get the impression of you that you are a really nice person. Stay safe Mr's Jones. You might not appreciate it all the time but you are of great importance to a lot of people.
That voice, those piano notes, that enigmatic smile. You are who you were mean't to be. Thanks for sharing this with us.

people love to say how things were better back in the day but front row Norah Jones concerts in your house are a blessing of the modern age...
Oh Miss Sarah how you just lift us up with that beautiful smile, voice, kindness. I believe you are more appreciated than you may know. I have saved all your little shows and just relax listening to the puriness of you voice. It just melts away what was trying to bother me. Great women, artist, writer, mother, human being "class" that's been missing to long.
Feeling a little lonely. Thank you Ms. Jones! Damn it if I'm not tired of being alone. Ah look at all the lonely people.
J'aimerais tant que ces beaux sourires soient destinés à moi seul et oublier qu'il y en a des milliers qui les reçoivent

Here's Nora, one of my favorite singers ever, starting this set with one of my favorite songs ever, Kate McGarrigle's "Talk To Me Of Mendocino". I love how you sang it Norah, and thank you so much for all of the beauty you have sung us during these pandemic times. What a precious gift.

Thank you, Norah. Your music speaks to my soul.
Laying here, sicker than sick. This madness that is 2020 nibbling away at threads of decency day after day. I keep seeing you in my YT feed and every time I stop. Your voice, that smile lights the darkest corners of a black room. Please stay safe and healthy and never stop sharing your love.
love your voice 4 a long time
So rare is it that a single person can so powerfully and deeply bring about joy and happiness to so many people. Its as if she vibrates on everyone's private frequency. Somehow she manages to reach out to us individually and stir some hidden, long forgotten emotion. And that smile she tosses in, my goodness. Let's be thankful this woman uses her power to bring peace and happiness to the world.
Wow! The Nearness of You Forever Gets Me! Big Time ever since Come Away with Me days. One of my Absolute Fav's! Go Norah! ☮️❤️🕊️

Enjoying a lineup of perhaps 30 minutes for my local sourdough shop, buyers all separated by about 2 metres in face masks and listening to this beautiful music makes the tedium pass with a smile on my masked face this Saturday morning. Thank you Ms Jones.
The chord changes on "The Nearness of You" are sublime. That's beautiful!

Norah... Talk to Me of Mendocino.... never heard that song.. but your version is unmatched. Pure perfection. Beautifully performed as you are inside and out. LOVE YOU SO MUCH!
We have not had much to be thankful for this year, but we can thankful for Norah Jones sharing her beautiful music with us.
Took me a minute to remember where I knew the second song from. Once sung by Joe Cocker, it's been played by the Tedeschi Trucks Band, maybe the best live band of the present.
Correction: It was the third song, Space Captain. Thank you for that one.
Ms Norah I do love your music very smooth.
She should get a Grammy for these videos in her own special category.

Bravo!
I don't enjoy going to concerts, I don't like crowds, don't like people sitting behind me, but I think I get it. I went to a Norah Jones concert, urged there by a friend. At the end she stepped away from the piano and sang "Nearness of You". I was too far away to really see her but at one point during this last number her voice quavered a bit as if she were experiencing the emotion behind the meaning of the lyrics. In a surreal moment and for the next few lines, the audience was swept away. It was only Norah and I in that room with her singing only to me. But reality returned and I went back to my lonely existence. Now every time I listen to a recording of Norah singing that piece, I am taken back to that brief time when it was just Norah and I, and I felt a genuine outpouring of love. If there is only one thing granted to me to remember at the end of my life, I wish for it to be this magical time alone with Geetali Norah Jones Shankar.
That was beautiful. Thank you for sharing your gift with all of us. You are a genuine soul
Thank you Norah.✨
