Nora, never fails to impress us with her talent.
facts.
Its singing...nothing but major and minor chords in the 1st position on the guitar. That Am would sound very nice if she would move it to the 9th position and use the open A string to get a good hi/lo contrast.
Use a real acoustic guitar. Youll sound better. Electric is to harsh for such sweet singing
NoJo! I'm an ER doc dealing with COVID, father's death, pending divorce and now brain surgery today! As unfortunate I have been, so many friends and family have stepped up to heal me. I feel like I am the luckiest unlucky dude out here. I am so lucky to find your mini concerts! I really thank you for it all!

More genre-hopping brilliance from Norah. I can’t think of another artist who can go from jazz to R&B to blues to pop to country to Americana so effortlessly and seamlessly.
She NEVER should have been labeled as jazz. Don't get me wrong, she has a great voice but her music never was jazz. The Record co needed to put a label on her, so they chose that. She's adult contemporary, if she was to be labeled. Now, she can do some good jazz and blues covers, but she's not a jazz singer.
I absolutely love how she sings/plays, as always. This song reminds me "a little" Pink Floyd's "Wish you were here" :)

A favorite concert was about 20 yrs ago. Went to the Ark in Ann Arbor, MI. Taj Mahal was the main act. This beautiful young girl opened for him. Didn’t catch her name when they introduced her. She sat at the piano and did 5 or 6 songs. When she stopped she got a standing ovation (me included!) as she passed the mic a guy in the front row asked “What’s your name again?” She leaned into the main mic and said “Nora Jones”. Taj came out and after his first song asked the audience to give-it-up one more time for Nora. When the applause ended he said “You’ll be knowing her name very soon”

Loved the acoustic cover of Mavis & Tweedy's You Are Not Alone and hard not to rock out to the country 'Don't Know What It Means'... one of my firm fav's from the Austin City Limits recording. Half expected a Neil Young song on his birthday to end the set..😀 but enjoyed 'What a Difference A Day Makes'.. reminded of the Tony Bennett version in the film 'One Fine Day'. Thank you for the amazing music as always.

Everything Norah does seems so effortless, but I'm sure a lifetime of effort has gone into making it appear this way. I actually prefer some of these solo, stripped back videos to the recordings... Simply beautiful, so talented.

Thank you Nora. I've been in love with you since around 2003. Back then a good friend of mine would not SHUT UP about you and your album "Come Away with Me". He told me it was his custom to shop at a record store where you could listen to music before purchase. He told me he would spend an hour or two just listening to that album. At that, I was becoming a little uncomfortable with his story (kinda freaky?). Then I listened for myself and understood. Thank you for sharing your talent.
