Thank You, kindly !!!
Thank You
Thanks so much!!!
..... homeless in L.A. but your songs made it part of God's blessings and endurance..... nightingales everywhere!!!!
I come to visit this acoustic from time to time. My heart finds a resting place in these chords and melodies…❤❤❤
20 years has been incredibly kind to her. She sounds as great as ever! Kudos
Oh but that's the thing. She doesn't sound as great as she ever was... she sounds BETTER than she's ever been. Time has not just been kind, it's been GENEROUS. And long may that continue and long may we be blessed with more great music from Norah Jones.
The band should be mentioned in the description, too:
Brian Blade - drums, vocals
Tony Scherr - bass, guitar, vocals
Bill Frisell - guitar
Jesse Harris - guitar
Oh Bill!
the drummer was amazing!
Exactly! Just went through the description cause I thought it looked like Brian Blade on drums! Amazing! :)
Yes. Absolutely fabulous.
I so want to write for her. And her band.
Right you are ! Thanks !
So its been twenty years since it first came out. So much life has passed by but the nemories of this album are still vivid. What an influence Norah Jones ❤
I feel the same way! One of those album that stays vivid forever timeless
Pure, clear, sincere, modest, honest, what a voice, what a soul. Norah Jones is an angel. Voice from paradise.
Oui, il y a des moments comme ça qui font espérer en l'humanité...
I would love to 'HEAR her record a whole album of "Oldies but Goodies" whose lyrics have become mutilated through the years!
Can't say ENOUGH .She does put screaming into the mike and disrobing to shame, doesn't she ?
SIMPLICITY with honesty...Hope she never goes to perform in Hollyweird; well the Hollywood Bowl might be nice ?
One of those "types" of voices that could make you feel better, but just hearing her call you on the phone with it!!
Wonder which comes first to the listener; which came first, the song...or the singer ? this is one that presents the debate well.
The "song" has "become" synonymous with "her."

Always wondered why UT doesn't mention who wrote the song; only the singers and bands ' names show?
What a beautiful bed of guitar chord roses, on which to base the flowing feelings of a Nora Jones; Just beautiful...wonder which came first, Jesse---? the chords, then the melody, yes ?I think many bands and producers PUSHED many great singers through beautiful lyrics, just to meet their own goals. (Poor Patsy Cline comes to mind-pushed to sing COUNTRY when she had the feelings of a Nora Jones behind the lyrics!)
To those who claim to not "understand" the lyrics...Haven't you ever wondered why you procrastinated on a good deal, then thought about it later as having been a missed out on a good deal situation? Most humans have.

She now has a song called Paradise. From her 9th studio album, "Vision's". A departure for Jones in a way. But it sure is good, if a little different. A lot of the songs have a 70's era pop vibe but don't ask how I'd know, I'm an 80's child, so I shouldn't. But that's the vibe...
I’m literally crying. I wish I could go back to my life to this time…Norah was my company in my most important moments, actually Norah was my company for many years. This album is a masterpiece and Norah the best singer ever.
a minha também também, Renatenha. quantas manhãs escutando todo little broken hearts, o dia já começava relaxado
I have a sneaky feeling we all do....😍 And of course, that handsome-est of bands❣
She really is. Hope you stop wishing going back in time and start enjoying the present :)
So good.

Bill FRISELL is a guitar monster 💙🤍❤🩹 FROM FRANCE
I love him so much and always will love him and no one else just him
Norah Jones, please recruit these gentlemen for an album of any kind. I've watched this 7 times in the nine months it's been released and the art of communication is so beautiful in all sincerity. Your leadership shows in how you let each song breathe, letting each contributor make every moment seem natural and organic. It may sound cliche and cheesy, but thank you for sharing all of your gifts, but more importantly the thoughtfulness you all shared in each moment of this recording. Priceless.
I would highly suggest discovering the music of .....
Bill Frisell guitar
Tony Sherr bass
Brian Blade drums
@@SoundCastle00 Thank you. Yes, I have heard of these great musicians before; mostly Frisell and Blade, but I do know some works by Scherr. The interplay between them on this is incredible.
The thing is it depends on the music, and what it needs. Sure, you can ask, but it's like asking an impossible question. only the musician will know who and WHAT their music needs. As example, Brian Blade was a good fit for main drummer on Norah's 6th Studio album, Daybreaks. Furthermore, I must presume you are aware all of those musicians involved with this live recording, were involved with the album this is a celebration of? In this case, well, let's just say Norah's experienced enough to have a good handle on who she needs for any project she's doing.

Music is so healing, from the first note. The first touch of the piano. The antithesis to the highly distracted, instant gratification culture of our day.
Soft, buttery, smooth, the build up, the crescendo. Don’t go anywhere, just sit.
exactly . well said.

Time flies. I remember that when that magnificent CD was released the world really needed it. 2001 and the following years were not gentle with peaceful hearts. "Come away with me" arrived as a musical balm for the souls. And it still is.
"Come away with me" ends way too soon. This could be edited to a double wide song easy and there'd be no nay sayers.
Hello Norah! I’m an 18 year old student from Korea. When I lived in the U.S, my mom used to turn on her favorite songs and shared them with me. And among them your songs were always her number one picks. However, I was too young to understand how beautiful your songs were. But time passed and I got the chance to listen to your song Don’t know why” and all my old memories came back to me. I was so stunned by your voice and how it made me feel so relieved. Ever since that day, you’ve become my favorite singer and I’ve been listening to your albums whenever I felt lost. And now that it’s the 20th anniversary for my favorite album, I had to come and celebrate. Congratulations and thank you for everything!!
Norah Jones is a gift to humankind
This is sooooo good. I almost feel guilty watching it without paying Norah something.
On the contrary, I feel very comfortable.
The amount of adds happening mid song is enough to give her a few bucks haha.
@@thewolson220 Who's willing to have their time wasted by adds? Beside which, I'd wager the anniversary sales have been quite substantial. As in via CD and Vinyl editions of the 20th anniversary box set editions of CAWM. TOTALLY worth getting I must add. [I love that box set so]

Funny you should say that. I actually watched a video by some voice trainer woman and she was reviewing Norah's voice. It may have been for this or it may have been for Feels like home. But you know, what she said was Norah's voice is kind of like a hug. It's like an audio hug and when you hear it, all troubles no longer matter, anymore.
Watching that video, when the voice trainer said that, I confess I lost the plot because it was what I had been trying to figure out, for years.
Your album Come Away With Me was my university music. Over many late nights your voice got me through writing up my thesis till the early morning. Whenever I hear songs from the album I’m back in that familiar zone of peace. Thank you for making beautiful music.
I love that the voice is supported by the instruments not the other way....she has the voice. Love Norah
Norah is truly one of the very, very best. Her voice, emotion, precision, and how she touches every key on the piano would make her exceptional even if she were just playing solo. Her style of music has multiple genre influences and is truly her own. She is so unique. But bringing all that into an ensemble brings her into the stratosphere.
She surrounds herself with amazing talent. I've become very sensitive to listening to phrases and chord progressions and hers are just amazing. Enthralling. She uses those magical transition jazz chords right in the perfect spots better than I've heard anyone do. I mean it's just perfection.
I'll probably have to listen again because with her as with many artists, sometimes I'm so caught up in listening to the intricacies of the music e.g. (instrumentation, rhythm/groove, chord progressions etc.) that I can't giving full attention to the poetry of the lyrics. Perfect 10
117 minutes of pure awesome. There is something about good musicians performing a timeless album. And then there is the woman herself. So this was a livestream. They did this, live, from the place Come away with me was created. Norah Jones is some kind of musical Goddess at this point. So classy and nuanced and easy with her own incredible ability. People like this don't come around very often. A timeless and unbeatable musician to go with a timeless, unbeatable album.
Oh, and they showcased 3 songs that didn't quite make the grade for the 2002 release, which just so happen to be way too good. "Yea, we just had these in our back pockets" they seem to say. Just too much.
That saying is apt here, only no one is keeping up with this Jones.
She should be getting a ton more recognition that's for sure
I wish it was 117 minutes, but sadly its 77 :)
@@empt60 Quite right. I misread. So sad... 2 Hours of NoJo is better than 1 hour 17 minutes.
@@lmt125 Come Away with Me sold over 27 million copies, and is thus one of the best selling albums of all time - what more recognition does she need?
@@merlinmediagroup what I mean is that many only know her for this album and not her diversity in genre which is vast.
Norah is class personified. Nora and a glass of red!? You can’t go wrong.
white also good enough
@@user-wg3dx8br8i You ain’t lying! Even give me some Gatorade and a Nora concert and I’m good.
It's been just over a year since my best friend of 54 years was murdered, and we adored listening to Norah sitting on the couch drinking a bottle of wine and catching up. Talking about her concert we got to see. Blasting a few on the Bose as the windows shake and talk about past loves. She would have loved this. I hope you can hear it up there wherever the wind blew your soul. Things that make your heart pound are the reasons we cherish memories.
I got this album When I was pregnant with my daughter. She is graduating this yr! She’s a huge fan to this day. And if she’s ever having a bad day she puts on some Norah and all is right in the world. Thanks for being apart of our lives
Funnily enough, my wife was pregnant with our first daughter when this album came out. We both used to play it over and over in the car in the UK. About 2 years ago, I was playing the album in my office (in Lagos) when she came to the office to see me. She suddenly felt the urge to throw up. We later realized that because she had serious morning sickness during the pregnancy, the music and her sickness had become associated. Strange!
@@plexadasystemintegratorslt1670 Great story, thanks for sharing
She's touched so many lives. Sorry, trying to hold back tears. Have a good day.
What. a. Memory. June 17, 2002 - Borders in Boston. I was in complete awe then....am still. Congrats & much love from Sri Lanka :)
I have enjoyed this beautiful woman and her voice it’s so relaxing my husband recently past and these are songs we both enjoyed and they bring wonderful memories and smiles I will always enjoy her music thank you for you beautiful voice and songs for sharing them
So happy to see Frisell on this. He is a master at playing exactly what is needed and nothing else.
That unmistakable voice. Your artistry enriched us all. Artistically blessed are those of us who get to hear it. 👍👍🙏🙏
This was wonderful, I enjoyed every every moment of the live performance. Both Norah and her band were brilliant.
I came back to this to calm me down from anxiety. Thank you!!!
Smooth voice like a calming stream in a river.
Norah is a classic. This album is a classic. Having Bill Frisell on guitar is a perfect complement to her -- great choice. Thanks Bill! Thanks Norah!!
This album was like a warm blanket in difficult times. So much love for Norah.
I utterly adore this album.
I used to put this on when my new born son wouldn't sleep. I'd sit in the dark with him in my arms and listen for ages.
And come away with me was our song for our first dance at our wedding.
Loved the live set of this ❤
I just discovered this yesterday! What a gift! Thank you Nora!
i just found i today; bad weather and stress; she is an angel of the jazz ladies calming my tired being. cheers from canada.
I can’t believe it’s been 20 years!!! I fell in love with Nora from the first note. Covid cancelled her concert in 2020. I’m still bummed. Thank you for this beautiful opportunity Nora.
💕💕💕💕
welp! this is the best thing on the internet! thank you Norah and SMASHING band. Bassist, drummer, guitarist, sound people, camera people swinging above, I see all of you! You all showed up and made MAGIC.
What a band! Tony Scherr, Bill Frisell, Brian Blade, Jesse Harris and Norah. Mindblowing.
This album was my twenties. How I define my youth. thanks norah jones!
I am listening from Japan. You are a wonderful and irreplaceable artist to me. Thank you for your inspiration. I will always love you.

I am watching her in Budokan the coming October
It was a great album, it's been with me all this years. But now it sounds even better, more mature, like a good old red wine.
First time I heard her voice on the radio traveling in Chicago, I looked her up, found she was playing in NYC and had front row seats..Love at first listen.....6 Grammys and 20 years later, still a fan. How quick the time goes.
She still has more to do, too!

This 20th anniversary special is such a gift 🎁. Thanks Norah for always being my constant companion from reading to writing to crying my heart out when I need to. Your music just makes all things easier to cathartically express and accept. Norah Jones my timeless Nightingale
Thank you for performing my absolute FAVORITE album by you, Norah!❤❤❤
I could listen to the entire Come Away With Me album all day long. It gets me through my shifts while working from home, and it brings back so many memories from when my children were babies because I used to sing your songs to them while they were in utero and when they were babies. You are such a talented lady. Keep up the amazing work!❤☮🙂
My Mom passed early Thursday morning. I'm completely broken, please keep me in your prayers, she was my best friend, we slept in the same bed for years until when she was admitted to the hospital. One of my dear sister in the Lord sent me this song this morning, and I’m being blessed right now….perfect timing. Sis. Scott, thank you so much. My spirit is lifted…glory to God!! Love you all my
Your mom will always be your mom, she's just left the room, and will be gone longer, this time. I'm sorry about your mom.
I am sorry for your loss
God bless you, may she rest in paradise. 💖

Ms.Norah Jones you sounded as wonderfully as the first time I heard your amazing voice.your voice gets better like a fine wine. Thank you for singing to us the songs from the Album Come away with me . My favorite from you.Brought beautiful memories .Memories are to be cherished from the past no matter if it is beautiful or not.some people are brought to our path by God not to break us but to make us stronger. I love you Ms.Norah Jones .Thank you for the beautiful music. Happy 20th anniversary of the Album Come Away with Me .❤️
Nora Jones seems to have aged really well. She looks better than ever - radiant, glowing and graceful. Her music is so soothing and relaxing.
Thanks for your love and support my friend.. fans like you are the reason we keep moving.💫 Where are you from?
Voice so soft. Lyrics so meaningful & sensable
@@phyllisjohnson6560 Where are you from? And how Long have you been a fan of mine?
This is still her best album. I remember being 12 and buying this from the record store. My mom was angry. It was quite expensive back then. Her album in 2001 cost me 450 php which took me 6 months to save from my daily allowance. My siblings didn't like her music then, it was too bluesy for them and a little too old school
I honestly don't know anymore. Norah is legitimately my favourite musician of all time. And I do LOVE Come away with me. But it was at the start of her musical journey. She has grown SO MUCH since then and just got better and better and better. I think my favourite is actually Daybreaks, but it has to be extremely close if it is. That and well, this, are basically neck and neck. But Feel's like home is way up there too. And one of her newer albums, Pick me up of the floor has some incredible moments in it. I think if I had to pick a tentative least favourite, it would have to be "the Fall". But the margins are too minute really, for any of it to matter. I would pick any of Norah's albums over the very best that most others have, because they just don't measure up.
Many listeners crank up songs to make them ignore their feelings; Some aren't afraid to HEAR their feelings?

She's sort of stopping the world temporarily, so a few of us can get off!

This acoustic touch is so calming. It takes me many years back when used to listen to Norah's songs in the middle of the night. Love it.
She looks and sounds...timeless...
I was 23 when this angel mesmerized me and the world with her gifts...thank you Norah...😭❤💯
They are listening! Such gentle listening and playing from their hearts that teaches me how to listen and opens my heart. Thank you Norah, Brian, Bill, Tony & Jessie.
Very nice!, I forgot how good and relaxing her music was/still is 🙂
20 years ago I remember listening to this album over and over again working on my senior project. I say at least 50 hrs with a single CD. Thanks Nora Jones!
This album was on radio and took home like 5 Grammys and tons of other awards. A lot has changed in 20 years.
I remember seeing Nora on ‘Later with Jools’ on TV here in England. I went out and bought the CD the next day, saw Nora live and met her. Was it really 20 years ago? Thanks for being you and for your music..🙏🌞☯️🌻🇬🇧🙏28.4.22.
And here we are, all in an instant music brings eternity and all our stories together. That and millions more is Nora. So greatfully thankful ! Blessings from Uruguay!
this concert is a soft cloud while working at the computer, amazing
Nora - your voice has aged like a fine wine. What an amazing session. For a vocalist, there is nothing to compare to a trio of drums, bass, and keys - except when a superlative guitarist is added. What a treat to be able to listen to this re-interpretation. ❣️🙏🏼👏🙏🏼❣️

Ahhh I can’t believe it’s been 20 years! This album was an important part of my younger years, and up to now it still warms my heart and soul. Thank you for the music!
me too! it's like hearing it again for the first time. And the added nuances are so new in a good way and in manner that is also familiar. it's a good way to gain perspective of one's inner life. ❤
Come away with me.. One of the songs that stays in my head like a dream, a wish, a longing... even after months of not hearing it, it pops out of nowhere and makes me log in to find it.
I was a 7th grade student in math class. Every time we would take a quiz or test the teacher would always play Norah jones during the exam. I have been a fan ever since, now my daughter is a fan.
I was in Highschool when this album came out and it helped me so much with my emotions ::: it’s gave me an outlet for my emotions when I felt alone and isolated. Thank you Nora for your Art!
Her guitarist's face of pure joy at the end of every song is my heart everytime Norah opens her mouth.
Classic Music and a classic Lady. The way she acknowledges each band member with that look. Majic
Norah personifies sweetness, the profound depths of love's sentiment; her voice, a timeless transcendence, her songs etched forever within the heart. Gratitude for this exquisite musical gift.
And I watch this roughly every day. Nora - you are so important to so many people!
Thank you, Norah! That was a beautiful performance! Everything from the soundmix to the videomix and camera angles, and of course the performance was perfect! You made all of us watching from youtube and chatting in the chatbox feel like we were all in the room with you together. So much nostalgia and positive energy! Can't wait to get the vinyl of the 20th Anniversary Edition and see you in Napa!
