I did a bootstrap body double too and I'm thinking , of making that center piece type of thing for this so I can put it on my table clamp head holder..and also filling it with wood shaves so I can use very high heat steam for hat shaping, which will also add weight.
make a larger round base and inset screw it to the already existing wooden base. If you or your hubby are clever enough, you would make shallow holes where you can put some loose items that you are using (and if either of you are even cleverer, you could install magnets underneath to keep metal items in that shallow spot!) ❤❤❤

Unfortunately, I am unable to locate the pattern, as well. I apologize for the broken link. Maybe email Lynn (lynn@outofaportrait.com) and ask her where you might be able to access it?
I saw another maker add stones to the bottom, embedded in the filling, for additional weight.

Those are great suggestions, thank you!
Thank you.
You're welcome!
Cool project! It’s nice that it will match your dress form, too. 😁
Absolutely!
This is brilliant! I had no idea this was a thing! Now I'm gonna need my own...
It was totally worth it!

Thank you for this, such a great idea. However the link for the pattern does not work for me. Is it possible that it is not available anymore?

@@SwimminginaSeaofEstrogen thank you!
I’m going to have to make this project. I own the cheap styrofoam wig heads but they don’t always work well
Let me know how it goes, I'd love to hear!
