I was there in the 1970s and some people were advocating for an "updating" of the band uniforms (thought them "too military" as the country was in its "Vietnam hangover"). Good thing it didn't go anywhere. Some things should never change, they are touchstones in alums lives. Hate people that keep wanting to change the football unis ("all black is so dope"). No. The Ohio State University represents timeless tradition to a lot of us.
The 360 FPV videos available on RUclips are fabulous. They attach a camera to the Susaphonist who dots the eye, and it's amazing. There are also 360 FPV videos of trumpet, snare drum, bass drum, and others. Any BDBITL geeks out there will dig it.

People can say what they want about DIE, but I’m seeing more colored people in the band than I ever have, and the band is just as good as they’ve ever been. If not better.

Living in Michigan, l have to say that I am not much of an Ohio State football fan but their band, both in appearance and performance, is superb.

There is a big difference in power 5 school bands and the bands in the HBCU’s. The entertainment view and feel is much different.
