- Our first day of fishing out of Seward, Alaska and we catch 2 massive Haibut! I caught mine on a whole salmon! What an incredible fish in one of the most beautiful places I've ever been! We also catch some yellow eye rock fish! Our captain shows you how to clean a halibut in record speed with incredible accuracy! Then we take our fish all the way back to Florida to cook for my family! A simple fried fish lunch with homemade tartar sauce, that was very delicious!!

The way he filleted that halibut like it was a piece of cake! lol Loving the Alaska vids!! Can’t wait to see watch more! You and Vik do an awesome job!! 🤩
Take mekela Alexander Good morning pretty
A new fan! Went to Alaska (Homer) in 1994. We just fished for Halibut My biggest was 60 pounds caught in 30 feet of Great memories. Now I fish vicariously through channels like yours. Thank you.
If you weren't such a sweet kind person I wouldn't be watching, love you and your family.
Garrett's Halibut filleting skills are so Awesome ! Zip,. Zip,.. Zip !
Well about time you guys are trying out Alaska. I meant to ask you guys to do a Alaskan fishing video and what you know, you guy’s just made my day!

He was so fast and really good at it!!
Awesome video, Brook! Looked like a great time in Alaska. You certainly brought back some delicious fish. Thanks for sharing your great experience!! 👍
Great fish to fill the freezer. Not much sport in catching Halibut but they provide alot of food to eat. The Salmon are fun to catch on the J hook. Set and reel baby reel!!!
What a great video and thanks for the cooking tips that looked amazing I wish I was there. Thank you continued success.
that charter captain is so cool, id love to go fishing with that guy. you can tell he likes his job
My compliments on the beautiful flilet job the captain did on your halubut!! Experience yes. But dont ever be antimidated You caught it!!! ♡♡♡
Wow! He makes it look like he’s carving up some room temperature butter with a butter knife! Love seeing professionals doing their thing!
right Vic that's a perfect family to eat with thanks Brook and wish you all more and more success
See that Coast Guard Cutter in the background at the beginning of the video? Back in the 80’s I used to service the old cutter that used to be docked there! Great job Brook! Fishing, filming editing, catching bigger fish than Vic 👍🏼😉 That “Hickory Shampoo” calmed that halibut right down, it really relaxes them.
Very very good eating fish!! Your guide put y’all on them today.
Ang sarap mangawil diyan sa inyo... Wala katulad niyan d2 sa Pilipinas... Mangangawil din ako,,, kaya nararamdaman ko din ang saya na nararamdaman ninyo!!! Salamat sa video ninyo!!!
i caught my first halibut on the deck of a 378 foot coast guard cutter... it was 18 inches so i threw it back, but i'll never forget it.

It is very interesting to watch your fishing experiences and the ways you cook them. Although we do not have such facilities here in the heart of Germany, we could try some of your recipes and found them very delicious. Thanks for you both and have many more such happy days to come! Thanks again for your contributions!
Sweet Video ! Nice to learn about the tail markings on the Halibut, at first glance I thought they were leach.

Great job Brooke!!! I’ve been on a cruise to Alaska but want to go back and stay a few days and fish. Great bucket list trip. Thanks for sharing!!
Awesome trip. Wow. Love this channel. You guys are blessed and such a wonderful family.
Wow it's amazing...when Canadian can come to states I'm going fishing. I feel jelly lol
It has been my observation that you mostly fry or boil your freshly caught fish - and practically always fillet and skin them. Try the following alternative prep and cooking methods: leave the skin on the side of a fillet or only gut and rinse smaller fish (less than 24" long and 4" thick). Then bake the fish in the oven or on the BBQ. You may find the fish much tastier than if fried or boiled. The skin retains the juice of the cooked meat and the bones adds taste also. Fillet frying on both sides or boiling deprives and dilute the fish meat tasty juice. From a Dane that grew up on a variety of Baltic fish food 3-4 times a week.
That was some big fish nice catch 👍 I just got back from catching some red snapper and that food looks delicious 😋👍👍💯🇹🇹🇹🇹
YESS!! I've been waiting for your Alaska video! I live in Metlakatla, Alaska on a small island. I watch all your videos, I'm so excited to see more!
That’s awesome! Thanks for watching!
Wish I had some, I love fish. I have never tasted that kind of fish but I would definitely love to try it one day.

Greeting from Indonesia . Watching you makes me hungry now
Great Fried fish lunch!! I love it. Such a good recipe.
Great halibut! Alaska is on my bucket list as well!
What a great trip you guys had, We just watched Vic's utube, We have always dreamed of Halibut fishing, And it's like we have, just by watching you two fish and the enjoyment that you have. always stay close together, And trust and respect each other.
Great adventure for you two! You'll end up with a nice big batch of sealed, frozen fish to take back to Florida. :-)
Here in Canada we have some nice fish 'n chip shops and they mostly feature 3 types of fish. Halibut is the most expensive followed by Haddock then cod, here on the coast and featured for all-you-can-eat meals. It's in small strips and delicious. :-)
That's amazing for a first time fishing trip! I've been watching both your and Vic's channels for a while now. This makes me really excited for my first time saltwater fishing!
Just Wow so so nice looks like a great trip and Lunch with the family !

Very nice weather for Alaska! Great video. I fried halibut in LJS batter!
I’m always happy watching all the videos you and victor 😊
Back in June, I was halibut fishing out of Seward, great time.
I love watching your videos and thank you for sharing them. You are such a nice person Brook and I wish I am one of your neighbor so I get some of your good stuff that you are giving away. Looking forward to see more of your videos. Take care.
The white meat with the pink is the Yelloweye. It’s the best imo with Halibut cheeks coming in a close second.
Hey Brook & Vic, watching your fantastic vids from Sydney Australia and loving it. Love your fishing and cooking!
the fish looked great Brook :) keep up the good work
OMG...so much fish and different varieties. I'm so envious. I would have cut the salt in half and used cajun seasoning.
I can't wait until I get a fight like that here in pensacola. Haven't gotten the boat finished and out of the pass yet. Hopefully in the next month
Hope you get out there soon!
I thought I was good a fileting fish until I saw Garrett speed through that halibut like an absolute pro. Great catches, Brook & Victor! Looked like a trip of a lifetime.
Right!? Was incredible to watch
@@brookcristoutdoors He did a great job. A lot of people are lazy and don't take the angled top cut out over the head area, and you lose all the meat up there. On bigger fish, that can easily be 2+ pounds. He was also a good addition to the video in general with the added information. Nice fish, btw, not a bad way to start the trip. you two got 100 pounds of halibut to ship back from your first 2 fish.

Absolutely awesome video! I’m at the beach fishing this week but we haven’t kept fish - all catch and release. Never caught a flying fish in the surf before. That was unusual for us. Nothing like you do that;s for sure I really enjoyed this video!
Love the instructions on hooking up
