Here's an interview by BrightwideFilms with Mos Def, in which he speaks about the obvious control which the 'Powers that Be' have over the Music Industry, Hip Hop in this case. He states that indeed there is a conspiracy to keep real music off the streets, music with valuable information. Making the people think through conscious rap is a 'no, no', as he says, it became all about money, partying, dancing, sex, and love songs.

Wonderful. Those stuck on the cig smoking are missing the truths he made in this discussion. You'd be surprised at the number of highly evolved people that teach the truth in many industries, esp spiritual, that smoke and hide it. At least he didn't care and smoked openly. Addictions aren't always detrimental. Nor do what are viewed as unhealthy addictions always lead to a physical health issue. In the grand scheme of things it matters not, because there are no judgments or rights or wrongs except those we put upon ourselves.

Mos is right about the predictability aspect. In nature there is spontaneity to life. The same tomato seed you planted last year will not necessarily reap the same fruit from the same seed you planted this year. much respect to Mos Def. I'm not sure how many movies he's been in but I did catch him in one of the most underrated movies ever. "Something the Lord Made". It's an HBO movie from 2004 if you can find it. It's the story of Vivien Thomas. For all intents and purposes Vivien Thomas was a medical doctor, although in his day he didn't go to medical school. However, being melaninated he had natural ability. Mr. Thomas "worked for" some white heart doctor - Dr. Blalock. Vivien Thomas developed all the technique for modern day open heart surgery - he was a Master Surgeon. He went on to teach white boys how to do heart surgery for years at Johns Hopkins University. I suspect Vivien Thomas was an incarnation of Imhotep. The white doctor, of course, got and took all the credit - in many instances Dr, Blalock purposely wrote Vivien Thomas out of the picture. "Something the Lord Made" is their story. To their credit HBO did show who was the real brains in the relationship (in a subtle way of course - HBO is after all, still part of the beast). Mos Def was outstanding in the movie. Once you get past all the shucking and disrespect of Negroid people BS that is a part of all movies which take place in the 30's, 40's and 50's it really is an outstanding movie.
One last thing - Johns Hopkins University did the right the wrongs that Dr. Blalock had done to Mr. Thomas (mostly taking credit for techniques Mr. Thomas had created). His pioneering work was acknowledged, he was given an honorary degree and named an Instructor of Surgery. A painting of him now hangs in the Johns Hopkins Medical School.

Mos def had a time where he was making it in Hollywood. He passed his Rawkus rapper status and was getting alot of roles. I was suprised. I thought he sold out cause Rawkus was kinda anti Hollywood vibe. Then low and behold here he is escaping Hollywood.

Sometimes we take for granted the life we have here as we are distracted by things that pollute our minds more than cleanse them. The sun rises each day and the moon provides light for the darkness, these two simple facts carry an abundance of love not only for the world in which those things were made for but also everything that is here. Us. Everything. The world continues on and on, with or without us. It's cycle continues and continues and it never stops. Love your Creator, always and give thanks to the Father who sits in heaven, always. Spread love and His truth that is His light, and resist the adversary, always.

Despite our past, through His son, Yahshua Messiah and in truth, we are born again and set free! We are passing through life, not time, but we all must suffer for a time, so wake up today, love the day, live for the Father, one day at a time, no matter the matter, let's do our best and stay in faith, keep His Commandments, studying and learning more of Him so that we are ready for His banquet when He comes. He will pick you right back up if you are down, trust that even in the toughest of times, He is there with you to build you up better than you were before. No need to fret, no matter the matter, in patient endurance and trust in Him, we are made pure and of the light with the undeserved forgiveness upon us, we can turn from evil and be protected under his wings. Be aware of the times we are in, let His Spirit be your guide and let the Spirit be your strength, that is, His Holy Spirit, stay true and do not be provoked to the point of regret. Remember that and let love flow. Protect and feed the children and the poor. Man does not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of the Creator! Those that have ears to hear, let them hear! Those that have eyes to see, let them see! Turn to the Messiah, the One He has sent, for through Him, all evil is destroyed! Do not be subject to lies and deceit, do not be a crash test dummy in their operations of deceit in trying to stick man made fluids into our flesh, there is only Salvation in Yahweh, through Yahshua Messiah and the Holy Spirit! There is only Salvation and Power in Yahweh and nothing can deliver us from death, and from death INTO LIFE except Yahweh! Turn away from doing evil, In all things you do reverence the Source of the Creation and do all things with love and righteousness for the Glory of the Creator(not the glory of men) and the Glory due to Him, do so through the example set by His Son Yahshua Messiah and live with the Holy Spirit within.
May YaHWeH bless your understanding and through His Son, Yahshua Messiah, may you all find truth in the past away from deceit, lies and willful ignorance so that we may experience His love, blessings and mercy and His only truth, forever. We don't have much time here to see, hear and wake up. Ignorance is not bliss for that "bliss" that comes from ignorance is an illusion and therefore, an imagination of happiness that stems from the branch of the evil one. Don't let them compromise originality in us. Do not forget where you have came from, remember the ancient days and beginning. Do not forget the Source of all life and the mercy and gift of Salvation that is upon us for He wants you to be saved, reverence His Loving Name. Count it joy to be suffering for Yahweh and Messiah and hold onto Him! Peace be unto you all.
